Looking for WW2 builds for the decades challenge

JALJAL Posts: 1,128 Member
I'm currently in 1937 in my decades challenge, which means WW2 is approaching rapidly. For WW1 I was able to find some amazing builds in the gallery for Glimmerbrook and Windenburg respectfully, bombed out villages, trenches... but I am having a harder time with WW2 builds, especially for the Pacific. Is there anyone who knows of any good builds or would be willing to attempt some?

So, popular homes at the time are going to be Spanish revival, colonial revival, art deco (although it is fading in popularity), Storybook/cottage revival. How many homes do you need? I have a coupla 30s/40s colonial revivals. However, they are modeled after homes in my region, which is the Gulf of Mexico.
I have just built a California craftsman Bungalow Court, too. Though, the style is technically pre-1930s. However, don't be afraid to mix and match decades. It makes it feel more realistic (for me at least). But all and all, that's still a personal choice.
So, I feel like Lilsimsie makes timeless homes that have that 30s40s feel. And I'm the-kbobster on the gallery, but my Colonial Revivals aren't on there, but i can add them. And make some more if you wish. And maybe even a story-book revival, too.
OOh, and lemme know when you need some late 70s early 80s upper middle-class homes. I have some of those, too.

I wasn't so much looking for homes, though thank you so much for offering! What I was looking for are builds connected to the war itself. Military camps, battlegrounds, airfields, field hospitals, bombed out buildings... I have found an airfield and a costal defence bunker, and a ship which unfortunately did not work for me, some army camps, but not much more than that. For WWI there was so much more to be found.

OOh, that's so cool. Are you recording your gameplay? I wouldn't mind seeing that from the beginning. When did you start?
Also type in Art Deco Hospital in the Gallery. I'm not sure if one exists, but there HAS to be one. When most ppl think of hospitals, they think of those.
There's this builder called Emerald Stories that has made a mini Gotham with a hospital. Now granted, in order to fit building into one lot, none of them are large. But, it might be a good place to start. I imagine Gotham has the Detective Noir style, which is very 1940s. What you could do, is take the hospital, put it in its own lot, and stretch it.

Thank you for the tips, I'll look into that. And if someone else has something, please continue with the tips.

The story can be found here: The Whittaker Saga . It started in 1890s Louisiana with single teacher Abigail looking for a husband, and is now on gen 2 heading into gen 3 as WWII starts.
