A lot of skills have been kind of neglected I feel, often only having one or few objects for it.
What I propose is adding kits for specific skills, adding some objects or new things to create with that skill.
They could require the expansion that introduced the skill.
For example a rocket kit that adds a few additional rockets to build, each with their own space suit to match.
Could be an alien themed one too for our alien sims.
An Archaeology kit could add a few different styles of tables for it, so you won't be restricted to just the one, and a few new display cases.
Each musical skill could have a kit that gives us a whole bunch of that instrument along with maybe some posters of performers using that instrument.
A robotics kit could add new robotics station as well as letting you make different looking robots, as Sims 3 allowed.
A Media production kit could add several new video stations and also new video types to make. Ones more suitable for men too since with make up and clothing being the main things to do, I tend to only have women develop this skill.

Comments
1. Robotics skill needs additional: swatches for craftable robots, additional craftable RC toys, and craftable robot pets.
2. Handiness skill needs additional: whittling interaction, disassemble and research interaction for electronics and robots, additional woodworking recipes, harvestable wood ingredient for woodworks, more variations of woodworking table, and craftable ROM wands.
3. Logic skill needs additional: functional objects for gaining logic skill and kinetic objects that emit emotional auras.
4. Rocket science skill needs additional: craftable toy rockets for kids, craftable rocket - shaped treehouse, and a craftable star cruiser/rocket jungle gym.
5. Archaeology skill needs additional: types of collect spawners (ones that use a pickaxe animation), more relics to match with various packs (including skeletons), and more cultural relics.
6. The creation of a new base game compatible sword fighting skill, that has cross compatibility with GF and batuu. It would consist of sims reading a skill book to learn sword fighting, studying sword fighting styles at a sword fighting school (rabbithole), practice sword fighting interactions with training dummies, learning sword fighting from a master NPC, get together compatible club activities, and a variety of sword types that can be purchased or crafted using a new crafting station (with optional ingredients). Lightsaber battles should no longer be locked to household members. Also, there should be a base game compatible dueling stage/arena venue for challenging NPCs to duels, entering competitions, and having practice bouts for improving the sword fighting skill. As long as there is a sword or light saber in the sim's inventory, they can enter a duel.
7. Singing skill needs additional: careers for practicing singing skill (opera singer and freelance singer career), additional karaoke machine songs, more variations of karaoke machine/microphone, sing lullaby interaction for child sims, and more song options for singing to cottage living wildlife.
