So, my game story has taken a new turn. In my story, vampires were banished by humans to Forgotten Hollow. They later were denied entry into the occult world of The Myst. I noticed they seem to be popping up in some of my worlds as randos. I’m thinking my game needs a covert sleeper cell of vampires trying to re-infiltrate the human worlds. But which one for their base? I first thought Windenburg, but that might seem too obvious. Help me choose, and tell me why you selected the world you did. My human worlds include:

(cathedral in old town, castle on island, masoleum in the ruins)
+nightlife parties providing snacks
but I also have my Windenburg more like all occults thrive /fight here kind of place
I also think San Myshuno is exciting because more food in city and apartments to break in and you could have like poor vamps in spice market or elitist rich vampires in uptown or artsy vamps in art district or whatever (it also strangely sounds less like a place spellcasters or fairies or werewolves or mermaids would enjoy)
Del Sol Valley is also cool for the famous rich vamps thing and they have those get famous beds that are like coffin 2.0 for more modern vampires then again its literally called Sun Valley so it might not be ideal unless said vampires are daywalkers
and Brindleton Bay island is also maybe good spot with the pet graveyard spookiness and crossing the sea thing but then again ghosts mermaids and werewolves might like it there too
Strangerville/Chestnut Ridge be nice for western vampires and Oasis Springs has the forgotten grotto they might appreciate but yeah idk i tend to treat the desert worlds as one big Strangetown so it sounds like "aliens first" kind of place
then again if xfiles are consulted vampires are just aliens too so I guess thats not far off theme either
and selvadorada ofcourse with the jungle and temples poses a nice twist to the vampire lore too so they could absolutely hang out there although it is vacation world so hmm
conclusion: vampires should be everywhere
I'm not super excited about willow creek but i suppose there could be mansions or something they reside in there too
I guess I've read too many books about good looking Vampires running nightclubs ^^'

Good point. If they’re trying to infiltrate there should probably be “agents” everywhere.
Very practical, yet atmospheric.
True. In San Myshuno, the wouldn’t have to explain why they work the night shift. And it would be a nice throwback to TS3.
I do have HoB, but it’s part of The Myst, so not available. But that might be another story!
You know, in my original save I actually had a prison in Oasis Springs where aliens, Spellcasters and all of the occults I had at that time were imprisoned by humans. The aliens struck a deal and became human allies. They are not popular with the other occults!
Good idea! My game moved a few mermaids to Oasis Springs. Bold of those merfolk, I thought.
Thanks for all the great suggestions!

If I must pick a world on your list, then it is Selvadorado.
Thanks! I do have the mod that makes Selvadorada residential, so it’s a possibility. Your other suggestions aren’t on the list because those packs aren’t in my game.

I am beginning to like the idea of city dwellers. It makes sense. Plus, in my game, San Myshuno is a sort of neutral zone between the human world and the occult world. Vampires would have some influence over both worlds by centering their operations there.
I do like the TS3 callback. My game recently emptied San Myshuno out, so I should have some flexibility in setting one apartment building aside for vampires.
I don’t have Snowy Escape so I wouldn’t know, but it seems odd that they can’t go up the mountain. Wonder why?

I figure the Nobles are just trying to live the good life. Or death. Or whatever. And aren’t particularly aggressive, although they do what they have to to survive. The Rebels are definitely predatory. I then plan to seed the other worlds with a mix of predator vampires and some adherents to the nonviolent movement of the Vatores. Thanks for all of suggestions! Basically, I’m taking all of them!
The biggest hurdle today was protecting those vampires in the penthouse from the sun. That’s a lot of glass, up there! I wound up using the theater curtains from School Days to give them heavy drapes that weren’t all Victorian looking. I mean, when you’re trying to stay under the radar, you don’t want your decor to scream “bloodsucking vampires live here!”
