Brindleton Bay Redevelopment Project

BearyBryBearyBry Posts: 89 Member
Not long ago I decided to redevelop Brindleton Bay (still don't really know why, but its done now, lol). This meant either renovating an exisiting built (altering the floorplan, style, etc) or demolishing it and starting from scratch. Other than the original builds that I kept but changed, I only used one lot from the gallery as inspiration though did do my own thing with it as well.

I hope you like them (all available on my gallery, which is under the same name).

I'll kick things off with Deadgrass Island, where I took the old museum, added another floor and converted it into a residential lot I called Deadgrass Manor:

    Next up is the Brindleton Riding School, for those who want to learn all about horses and horse riding. This 64x64 lot allows for a sizable home, training park, stables (with accommodation for a ranch hand) and a shed:

    Brindleton Bay Museum is located in Whiskerman's Wharf and takes great pride is showcasing the local history of the bay, dedicating the entire ground floor to the region whilst also managing to procure several interesting exhibits from all over the glob:

    Dachshund's Creek is one of two small starter homes I included, coming in at just over 17,000, it gives Sims a few Simoleons in the bank to add to or alter their new home to meet their needs:

    Your Brindleton Bay redevelopment is great! :) Very nice exterior design of each building and the interior furnishing and layout are lovely. It looks great the way you converted the old museum into a family home and the Riding school with stables is great! Very nice displays of art work and exhibits in the museum and the art studio to do painting is very nice. The cafe is lovely to have a drink after looking at the displays and very nice gift shop. Dachshund's Creek is a lovely home. Very nice open plan living area and great sitting balcony.

    @rosemow thank you, I'm glad you like it so far, just been into my game to get some more screenshots and also noticed a build or two I wanted to tweak so got them sorted as well (so I hope you like all the new content coming very soon).

    @SerraNolwen here you go :)

    Hindquarter Hideaway, the second of my starter homes (this one a Tiny Home), is all on one level and definitely for Sims who enjoy pops of colour:

    The Old Harbour Clock is in pride of place in Whiskerman's Wharf, once the old harbourmaster's office it was easily the busiest building in town, with it's gleaming clock faces visible to those on the shoreside and those coming into harbour. Since then it has been replaced with more modern buildings and has been turned into a commerical space with an apartment above it, though it's prominent location on the docks ensure it has the prospect of being a goldmine for a savvy business-minded Sim:

    @simgirl1010 thank you for the welcome. I love Brindleton Bay, it's one of the worlds I keep returning to, either for a character to settle down in or to visit on dates or days out. Thoroughly enjoyed my little project, definitely helped a lot with building skills, and hopefully get the rest of them posted in the next day or two (need to see how things go in real life).

    I found the original Bedlington Boathouse to make no sense, all that space just so poorly used, I originally tried to save it but just decided the scrap the whole thing and start fresh:

    On the grounds where the Frise Chateau once stood I decided instead to turn it into Frise Park, giving Sims far more space to enjoy and plenty of sea air to take in:

    For Club Calico I mostly played about with the layout, leaving the footprint pretty much as it was, but also added on another storey, with showers and a balcony bar, as well as expansing the building at the back and turning it into a wedding venue option:

    The St Clayre Mansion was one of the first big houses I built, for which I used some floor plans I found online as inspiration and it came out better than I was expecting:

    Domus Familiaris, tweaked more than renovated. My idea for the folks who'd live here were a human and werewolf pair of paranormal investigators, hence the basement:

    It's A Good House is the only time I used the Gallery for inspiration during my redevelopment of Brindleton Bay, where I spotted a house by RheannaJS and liked the look of it, so I ended up making it a little bigger, changed the floor plan, and so on (probably should've thought about renaming the lot, oh well, it is a good house):
