I think the August Patch will be small. If I had to guess about fixes it would probably be the one they recently had to delay. I forgot which one it was.

Oh yes that's what I had forgotten about. I hope this patch also brings us some Pool Waterfalls,Pool Slides and Pool Steps. Patches are combining with SDX Drops now.

It will be a very small patch as august is bringing two new kits. Kits patches are always small with nothing new, just some bug fixes

I’m expecting the kits in September, given that the roadmap covered July, August and September. We just had the expansion in July, and I would expect August to be really quiet with maybe just a patch, and then the kits come in September before we get the next roadmap. That would make sense to me. But who knows, I may be totally wrong!

Regardless of whatever patches they might put out this month, I wish they would finally fix the gallery already. It's super aggravating how they refuse to communicate real information about whether they're actively working on it and the timeline for it. Compared to how much fanfare they put out prior to the gallery's disastrous migration, the silence about all its broken features afterward has been deafening.

I feel like this has to be a record number of bugs for a new EP. I can’t remember the last time I saw a bug fix list for a single EP so long it was divided up by cas, bb and live modes.

but yeah I do wonder when the gallery is all up again got so many builds to share and replace with ceilings included version but i don't feel like doing that before its all up and running again

would be nice to know where they are at with that

Don't rule out a 2nd Patch this month especially with 2 Kits releasing. A patch is needed to prepare for kits and I don't think this patch did that.

Still, I didn't read anywhere we'll be getting these two Kits in August, not in September. The current roadmap does cover the timespan until September.

This patch came 3 weeks after the July patch so a new patch could be released during the last week of August.

I thought the patch for this season was covered with the ceilings texture. Huge improvement to the game makes a world of difference as I like to play as first person and I love taking interior screenshots on my interior renovations as DHD.

They'll have to have another patch this month if the Kits are releasing.

EDIT: Got in touch with EA Help and it seems that a lot of players are affected by this problem.

Maybe we are getting a new patch today.

It's 2 PM in Italy and I just tried to load my game and I had a notification for a new update. But whenever I click "update" I get an error windows popping up "Unknown problem. Please reload EA App or get in touch with our support team"

Patch is NOT live. Don't click Update. Just wait till the EA App bug is fixed. EA knows about the problem and is working on a fix. Active bugs thread is at https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports-Technical-Issues/Cannot-download-The-Sims-4/td-p/12866104/page/20.

Thank you @luthienrising! I am having the same issue. I did click update. Will that cause more of an issue? I will try to be patient and wait for a fix.

It would put you in a very annoying update loop. If you really, really want to launch instead of going to get chores done or whatever, there's a complex workaround now pinned at the top of that AHQ post.

EA said it was fixed but it really isn't.
