Hi,

Is the community vote a sign that the end will come soon ?

Community vote for TS3 : SP08 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff before the last stuff pack
Community vote for TS4 : SP13 Laundry Day Stuff before the last stuff pack made by SimGuruGraham (SP with premium item)
Community vote for TS4 : SP17 Nifty Knitting before the last stuff pack (SP with gameplay)

Will the stuff packs with gameplay come back ?
Or will the kits be replaced by a "Marketplace" ? ( JOB OPENING: Head Of Monetization & Marketplace )

Honestly I don't think Stuff Packs will return since they figured its easier to throw out 2 kits and get the same money as releasing stuff pack without need to make any gameplay at all

I feel like kits can't go on forever either though

that is if they want to keep the game playable

performance cost for these little packs is just too much so eventually game won't be able to run everything or ea will lose sales because people get picky about adding things to their game

then again if I had to guess we will be seeing many more kits before they're over, just maybe less frequently than what they started with

I am hoping the marketplace doesn't make it in sims 4 whatever it is they only mentioned Rene in that job opening

and I am kind of hoping they at least try once more to make the gameplay kit idea work if the kits keep coming

I have been enjoying these more recent kits they are actually nice. I do wish they would have never gotten rid of the stuff packs the cost of those were not bad, some had game play and if they would bring those back, I would prefer them over kits anyday.

It could also be a new style of kit or a new type of pack (World Pack ???)

    I'm still suspicious about Maxis + Overwolf/CurseForge .
It's strange to announce an official mod site without including it in the game for the Console players.

I would love stuff packs back. I mainly bought them for the hairstyles and CAS kits never have any hair in them.

    Bring back stuff packs!

I think Stuffpacks are returning because of the eye emojies TheSims used on reddit. Horses also had eye emojies and were getting them

I don't mind the kits per say, when well made they give us versatile items, but I do wish for stuff packs back, or for game play kits. There are lots of things I would love if they added that could be roomed in a kit, a career, a hoppy, new items like a packing crate or new holiday items.

I still want stuff packs back. I miss them.

I would also love world packs!!!!
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!

How about giving us a pool table in a stuff pack. Along with hair and clothes? I also want a pool slide in a stuff pack. I also want a volleyball court in a stuff pack. I want some baseball stuff for children up, like baseball clothes, hats, a clutter mitt and clutter baseball, with children up being able to toss a baseball back snd forth. I want to be able to grow orange tree’s and get a juicer that has fruit and veggies being able to improve the sims health, or energy. How about a stuff pack with an electric skillet that we can use in the dorms and apartments and things, that could come with youthful clothing and hairstyles. How about an elder stuff pack with bingo, some older clothing , and hair styles? I could go on and on about objects I’d love in the game with stuff packs. We could use some new pajamas for all ages too.

Hopefully kits need to end and we need the return of stuff packs.
Sims 4 went from "You Rule" to "One of the stories we want you to tell"

Kits are basically TS4 Store but sold under the name of "kits". I never liked EA sucking more money through Store anyway.

I stopped buying Kits after my budget got really tight. The only kits I really liked were Courtyard Oasis and Little Campers. They each came with a prebuilt lot. I do like the styled rooms each build kit came with but it doesn't justify paying $5 since suck at building most specifically landscaping. I tried improving my builds but I'm not very creative but that's because of my scoliosis.

I save my money to buy the game and expansion packs. Game and expansion packs normally come with prebuilt lots with the exception of Seasons and Dream Home Decorator.

    ...

Exactly this. The amount of effort to charge 10€/$ is just way more lucrative with kits

The quality of the items in kits is actually not bad. But the huge downside is they only add visuals, nothing substantial (except for bust the dust after which gameplay kits were abandoned) I would also love to still get stuff packs. They offer new gameplay or objects types we never had before. The cas was also more well rounded with items for all age groups and hair styles.

Call me old fashioned but communicating through the eye emoji feels weird. Why not do some real communication, actually telling people yes or no.

Depends tbh, because the washroom kit had some pretty nasty-looking items.

Yep, as others have said, do away with the kits and bring back stuff packs! Stuff packs had a little gameplay thrown in too and were much better value for money.

I didn't get that particular kit one but bathroom clutter has a few lackluster items. I think you have a point : it depends on the item or kit perhaps. But I really enjoy some of the items in the little campers kit (particularly the fire pit and games table), the green house haven kit and the book Nook kit.

I don't mind the kits, I just wish they'd put them on sale sometimes. Even an offer like buying 5 and getting 1 free would be good - I'd definitely go for that. And I really wish they'd do more gameplay kits. Bust the Dust was the one that always interested me most because of the gameplay. I finally bought it a little while back and I'm really enjoying it. It's the only kit I've bought.
