Let me be clear here. In my view the concept of an Expansion expands game play usually across the board. It should add and update older packs give new designs and experiences to old skills as well. Now that I have seen the new pack I do feel that this pack is just another in a series of obvious missed opportunities.
Items
Better & Higher Obstacles - Let's be real they were better in Sims 3, if the Sims 4 pictures are to be believed.
Pool Table & Accessories for it
The Mechanical Bull Another No Brainer item that this pack absolutely screams for
Pottery Making, Basket Weaving & the Textile Weaving (rugs & blankets) - All better choices for new hobby skills than nectar making for this region. Don't get me wrong I love Nectar making but it would have been better in Provence, Tuscany or Napa Valley. This feels shoehorned in order to appease us and not just a little tawdry given the setting.
Corn Hole Game
Rocking Horse for children
Saloon Doors - I haven't seen any in the pictures so it remains to be seen
Spittoon
Cow Hide Sofa, Love Seat & Chair - This is a classic set featured in Sims 2 and I believe Sims 1. Would have matched the dining chairs I saw
Stage Coach Wheel Fence
Barb Wire Fence
Turquoise Jewelry
Elements
Goats and sheep that aren't mini. Sheep should have been in Cottage Living. Llamas in Jungle Adventure. Goats are perfect here with the horses.
EL Chupacabra - I stand by my decision
Skeet Shooting - I think that even though it is usually associated with rich folk I feel like it would have been a positive inclusion.
Update to Flower arranging to make flower garlands for Horses & Dogs
Pool Tournaments
Venomous Snakes that have the potential to bite. Personally would want the Rattlesnake and have it actually rattle. Such rugged areas should have equally unpleasant denizens
They could have add at least a horse race to the package where you can bet on the fastest horses, or you could even raise a racehorse yourself. But so far it seem more like another Cottage Living..

I personally like Cottage Living but I think it suffers from a few points:
No Fairies - That pack screamed for them. Not having them was foolish
Llamas - Should have been in Jungle Adventures as they are South American in origin, fudging the exact country though
No Sheep - Cottage Living was clearly set in the Cotswolds and Sheep are a main economy driver there. They could have easily done full grown sheep and had two sources of wool.
The Grocery Kiosk is not the substitute for a full Grocery Market or even a Farmers Market Lot which would have been clearly a superior choice
Sewing would have been a better choice than Needle Point decorative Items
I won't get into the Cows being tied to the shed but it was a little less than ideal
Recipes that should have been in Cottage Living but weren't
Bacon Butty
Beans on Toast
Bubble & Squeak
Christmas (Plum) Pudding - Baking Update
Cornish Pasty - Baking Update
Eton Mess
Full English Breakfast
Lancashire Hot Pot
Mince Pie - Baking Update
Pie & Mash
Rice Pudding
Sausage Roll - Baking Update
Scones - Baking Update
Scotch Eggs
Shepherds Pie
Spotted D*I*C*K (actual name and not a vulgarity)
Tea Sandwiches & High Tea in general
Toad in the Hole - Baking Update
Victoria Sponge - Baking Update
Welsh Rarebit

and I will angry poop if they're still not adding saloon door that functions as door with this pack
they already had 2 chances strangerville and get famous
and even almost a third chance with copperdale
since the shell buildings there are very yeehaw
if its still not in a horse pack set in desert yeehaw land ...
what on earth does it take to get some functional saloon doors?
