@mightysprite A Sims 3 image was used for the leak of High School Years last year (and the leak also just called the pack ‘High School’, rather than ‘High School Years’), so I’m not letting that spoil my hopes
I like the world that is rumored. We already have enough boring green grass everywhere worlds. I always thought Strangerville was so pretty, but WAY too small. Now i can finally have a desert world with adequate space!!
Desert worlds are probably my favorite as well so tired of the boring green worlds. I really hope there a lot of open space and mountain trails for hiking and horse riding. They should create locations for horse racing things to jump and activities in the world worthy riding to or what's the point.
Sims 4 went from "You Rule" to "One of the stories we want you to tell"
Love the idea of horses... but I dunno how I feel about a desert world. Admittedly, I'm biased. I got the idea in my head for horses coming in a medieval themed pack, with a world based on the Scottish Highlands. (Why Scotland? Because that would also work in the idea of Fairies, via references to Celtic Mythology.)
I'm still pretty attached to my concept, as you can tell.
I like another desert world. The green worlds are very dominant in quantity at the moment. I also don't mind it being an American world for this particular theme. I always thought either an American world or a historical (medieval) setting would go well with horses.
In general however I prefer a bit more generic worlds. I fondly remember the sims 2 with more neutral worlds where we as the player could decide what to do with the. Of course the fact that we could edit the world, including the choice between green/desert ground, helped a lot. In sims 4 it is the devs that decide the worlds without giving us a say in it. The worlds are pretty enough, just the flexibility to adept them to our needs is missing.

I agree, and apart from that, TS2 also let us decide on the seasons and climate of every individual world. I think that, too, would go a long way towards making players feel more at home in TS4's worlds, since many don't seem to want a desert world simply because it won't let them experience all seasons to the full extent. As a Seasons lover myself, I can understand that, but I tend to rotate a lot on a whim, so it doesn't bother me that much when a few families only ever experience summer or winter. That being said, if I had full control over the seasons, I would turn San Sequoia into an eternal winter world to better distinguish it from Willow Creek.
Anyway, I can't wait for this new pack and its world, especially if it's based on Arizona (even though I always assumed that Oasis Springs was based on that, and StrangerVille on Nevada). I've never been to the US or even left Europe, so I only know Arizona from TV shows and documentaries, and if I ever went there, the heat would probably kill me. But I think the desert has a beautiful atmosphere, and I'm looking forward to recreating the Navajo farm from Beyond: Two Souls, if anyone here has played that game.
I remember when they used the old Sims 3 Supernatural trailer in the Little Campers Kit as an obvious hint to Sims 4 Werewolves. So, I think they are doing it again for Sims 4 Horses, by using a pic from Sims 3 Pets.😉
I like having a variety of worlds and don't mind a desert one. But I do hope if this pack is actually coming that we can have a ranch be able to function in any world. It would be a shame if any lot was designated to only the world that comes with the pack, as with the school in Copperdale. I want the ability to have a ranch, like the farms in Cottage Living, anywhere my sims choose to live. I will be very excited if we do get a horse ranch pack as I love horses and like the idea of even more animals, whether farm, wild or both, in the game! Looking forward to hearing more!

I am certain there will be lots of walking/riding/hiking areas. They started improving the amount of walkable areas going back to Snowy Escape.
Because this is not a legit leak, it's just someone speculating about what could happen. I am not convinced this is real.
If we do get a ranch-themed pack, I hope it's more Wyoming/Montana than Arizona. We already have two desert worlds and I don't really see the need for a third.
I think the fact that we got no teaser today makes the leaked release date 20 July rather unrealistic.
Actually, the website sells CDKey, so just need access to pre-order for the new EP. Judging from the first two roadmaps released punctually, we will get the next one on Jul 11th, and then Maxis starts the propaganda, which is highly reasonable.

If the release isn‘t in July, I guess a date in October/November is more likely. August is a dead holiday time.

Are you a newcomer? Now Maxis has a stable release cycle. We get three or four roadmaps every year one or two of which suggest the coming EP fitting in the theme slogan. During the roadmap promotion period, We have a reveal trailer the same day of pre-order and a gameplay trailer during the pre-order period, and the pre-order lasts about one month.

I don't understand your connection between roadmaps and the revealing of an EP. Example: Cottage Living was announced in June 2021 (that means at the end of the Q2 roadmap) and released on 22 July (within the Q3 roadmap). Same with HSY in 2022.

Your example is wrong. May/Jun/Jul are included in the second roadmap in 2021. The first road map is Simthing to Celebrate, starting in Feb. The roadmap doesn't match the length of the nature season.

Now we are waiting for the third roadmap about horses and it will include Jul/Aug/Sep.
Considering the preorder timeline I mentioned above, the horse pack will release in Aug. Your holiday time could be alive
Interestingly, an EP release in August or even September would be a premiere for TS4. That has never happened before
It makes me confused, too! We just ended the early bird bonus for the previous EP. I think a GP would have been coming. According to the insider‘s leak, Aug may be more suitable for a desert world. I am thrilled a bit with the description sounding close to the xeric shrublands. The glittered little succulent plants between high cactus spread out to the skies' ends. Beetles and lizards play around. Not an oasis but more lively.
Whether the horses come in July, August, or even later, I'm just hoping for an early official confirmation that they're coming at all. Because I'm currently updating the royal family of Arendelle in my game, and I've already deleted the big dog with antlers that has been representing Sven until now to replace him with a llama. But if we get horses soon and can have them at home, should I wait a little longer and make Sven a horse instead? So many questions! (First world problems galore!)
I reckon that if this pack is real and it really is going to come out on 20th July (as Instant Gaming still thinks it is), we need the next roadmap either today or next Tuesday (I think they've come out on Tuesdays lately?). That allows four weeks before releasing the pack. But the roadmap doesn't seem to be coming today, so if there's no roadmap next Tuesday either I think the date must be wrong.
Late Summer/ Fall is going to be a very busy time with other games for me.
Starfield, Life By You, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Cities Skylines 2 are coming out.
Any TS4 packs coming out are going to have to be really good to drag me away from these games.
Right now I am playing the Mass Effect Trilogy one final time before I remove them from my hard drive to clear up space.
I will probably give Skyrim another go too before removing it.
August would be a good time to deliver up a new TS4 pack, after that, I will continue my major TS4 break by playing all these new games.

Something wicked this way comes!
I don't use MCCC.

Edit WELP I was totally wrong lol.
And I would rather ban snow in WC to better match the Louisiana climate *lol*
