Fabricated items disappearing?

Has anyone had this issue where fabricated items disappear? I've had my sim create at least three things, and when I open B/B I see them in the household inventory, but then they immediately disappear. I'm wondering if it's a mod issue?
ETA: Solution found.
Open the cheat menu, and turn cheats on.
Use bb.showhiddenobjects cheat
Items are now there.
