I pay hints no mind. I’ll believe it when they show me something concrete. Emojis don’t count.

The pack serial number may be a hint. SP27 is missing.
Although we can't find SP19 in the game category files, you can search for them in S4S -- it turns out to be some free-updated hairstyles.
To be the worst, SP27 is remade into My Wedding Stories( just like Celebration SP in TS2

If the so called "Gameplay Kits" are no longer a thing, Stuffpacks should definitely make a return, especially if they're on par with Paranormal.
A Soul Reaper Stuffpack would be very welcome, even though I can easily imagine an entire Soul Reaper GP or EP. ☠️

I wish they would reintroduce stuff packs with the kits I pretty much go a year with only an expansion or game pack I actually want and if one of them is a supernatural pack that leaves me with only 1 pack a year. This game feels so dead now never anything to get excited for the worst is when they announce what's releasing this quarter and its 4 kits and it's like guess I will check back in 3 months. :#

Sims 4 went from "You Rule" to "One of the stories we want you to tell"

I definitely think we are getting horses, and they used that emoji in response for a horses question too so i think it’s highly possible we could get SPs again!

I don't mind kits but I would just prefer more content for $5 especially for recent kits like Everyday Clutter and Basement Treasures. I feel we should get 45 to 50 items a kit instead of the usual no more than around 25-30 items. That's why some simmers feel the kits should be cheaper than they are. The stuff packs added some gameplay. I feel they don't like to animate stuff anymore. It took simmers to take items from Everyday Clutter and put animation on them. I wish the dumbbells were usable and we didn't have to use a mod. Then I saw all the nice exercise equipment that Life By You will have. So envious for my sims. I wanted them to have a stationary exercise bike. We have the bodybuilder career but no weights. That would be a nice stuff pack but we already have fitness stuff.

I have always loved stuff packs, but many people used to complain about them. Of course there are some people that complain about everything anyway. Stuff packs used to be extremely fun to get even when some were less in depth than others, I always loved the new hairstyles, new clothes, new build/buy stuff, and the new active gameplay item that came with them. It always made the game more exciting for me every time a new stuff pack came out, I really loved them. I like kits too, but there is just not the same excitement.

Think about it though, what can you get for $5 any more? Even a soda at most fast food places are $3 or so anymore. I do think however stuff packs brought a lot more excitement even with a higher price because it had something for everyone, builders, players, sim creators….

I kind of think they may be focusing more on kits because I’m sure game play items cause more bugs than kit pack items do, and with so many packs in the sims 4 now, that can be a problem.

Yes we need some stationary bikes. I agree. Even Sims 2 had those. Lby also has water coolers another item I'd like to see in The Sims 4.

Yeah, I feel bugs are most likely why they don't make gameplay kits because look what happened with Bust the Dust.
They could've added some interactions on some of the objects from Everyday Clutter and Basement Treasure but they didn't. Someone else made them usable. I did see a clip that they are going to add a storage function on the trunk in Basement Treasure.

Hey! I've bought some good games for $5 but those kits haven't went on sell yet. :D

I honestly prefer kits to stuff packs. I know I’m in a minority. But I really like the quick cheap pack and I find that with less stuff it’s generally better quality. I use kit CAS and items a lot more than I use most stuff pack ones, and I use a lot bigger percentage of it.

I also think the stuff pack gameplay items are often over praised. If every stuff pack included something like a butler or bust a dust or the Moschino poses then I’d love it. But a lot of these gameplay items never get used - climbing wall, bird feeder etc.

I’d welcome a good pack like paranormal but honestly I’d rather they just do a gamepack. My personal preference would be kits for small themes, game packs for bigger ones and then expansion packs. They should release more game packs and shouldn’t worry so much about including worlds in them.

This is interesting... But I'm not all that fussed about stuff packs - it all depends on what the content is. I only have a few of them and there are some I'm definitely not interested in. Same with kits. If we could get some more decent gameplay items, I don't mind whether they come in a kit of a stuff pack.

My main priority will always be Expansion and Game Packs but I wish they'd do more Stuff Packs like Laundry, Paranormal, Tiny Living and Nifty Knitting. I completely understand what they're trying to do with Kits but none of them have really catched my attention, there's plenty of free CC that is still better than those.

When Sims' packs get criticized, the conversation is usually about how many there are, but I think this distracts from the real issue. The thing is, the Sims 4 has been supported for twice as long as any other Sims game. Of course it will have a lot of packs. That itself isn't a problem. It can even be a good thing. The issue is how they sell them.

World of Warcraft is a game that has a lot of expansions. Years ago, however, they started rolling older expansions into the "base game", so you only ever need to buy the most recent expansion. Borderlands 2 is a game with a ton of DLC, but they eventually released a Game of the Year Edition that rolls all (or at least most) into a single purchase. Borderlands 3 has Season Passes that combine DLC.

The Sims, on the other hand, is still selling 10 year old expansions for the same prices they did when they were new. They also barely offer any sort of bundling. Even on sales, they have a strict sale pattern that they never diverge from, and it's tiered based on the kind of pack they are.

One of the reasons I don't like Kits is that their pattern is that they don't even go on sale. $5 may not be a lot, but you're still just buying virtual clutter. I love clutter in the Sims and love that the Clutter Kits exist, but that's never going to feel like value, especially when it has to compete with things that are on sale, and you can get good, full games for that price. I would gladly take Stuff Packs again because they aren't just cheap, they have value.

90% of different hints on various things were corrent. They aren't doing this for no reason. Same happened with horses lately and they would ignore questions about horses if they had nothing to say

stuff packs are kind of hit or miss to me so yeah idk
if its like knitting and paranormal yay
if its like luxury party or hot tub stuff nay

there was mention of sewing in curtains description in Growing Together though

and i do think sewing could be what they are scheming here

I think it would perfectly fit the " small gameplay item that needs cas and b/b to go with it" stuff pack theme

or it could be (in my dreams) that they decide to do stuff pack out of the recent kit vote instead

or, are we gonna have that infant item stuff pack? since we have toddler and kids stuff it only seems logical there would be one for infants eventually

I hope stuff packs will return. In general I think communicating through nothing but an eyes emoji a bit ridiculous but the sims team seems to think differently. They used it at the beginning of the year when someone asked about a generations pack.

If we are lucky enough to get another stuff pack, I hope it will be the same quality as the later stuff packs (paranormal, knitting, laundry, tiny living).

Wow, this is the first time I ever hear someone say they prefer kits over stuff packs. I didn't expect that. I can't say that I agree but everyone is entitled to their own opinion in this matter.

I do agree with you when it comes to worlds in DLC. Not every pack needs one. Seasons, parenthood and spa day are examples of good packs without worlds.

I have to disagree, I think GP and higher should include a world. I honestly forgot Parenthood was a GP and not a SP. If it came out today I would wait for a sale. Not having a world does not seem to equate to more bb/cas/or gameplay. We simply get less. Ofcourse people are going to buy seasons, weather is such a core concept it should probably be BG. Seasons absolutely should have included a world.

Most kits have been misses for me. While I appreciate the increase in content, the value is not there for me. There have been a handful of kits that I really enjoyed. I hope SP are coming back.

Well I find that the stuff pack was very short lived. Yeah there’s a few good ones but most of the early ones were not - never use the wishing well etc, most of the cool kitchen CAS was just like base game clothes, the my fitness stuff is just new looks of what we already have. I did bowling one time. So I’d play it very little.

Kits feel more to me like every item has a purpose and it has much longer usability. I might not like every item, but the smaller set means they’ve put effort into their selection. Stuff packs were full of uninteresting items in my opinion.

And yes I loved Spa Day. I wish they’d put more effort into the gameplay part of a gamepack and forgo the world unless it makes sense like the occults and vacation ones.

The usability of an object and how long it stays interesting is a very subjective feeling. For me it doesn't correlate directly with the DLC type. I have some items I always tend to gravitate too in all levels of DLC. For stuff packs for example I often use the furniture in tiny living and the decor items in cool kitchen. I regularly use the dresses in romantic garden stuff and the toddler outfits in toddler stuff. I wouldn't want to miss those stuff packs. However the clutter in the clutter kit and the curtains in the desert lux kit are also on the list of items I will continue to use regularly. Which items or DLC we think is worthwhile in the long run is very personal. There is no right or wrong opinion about what items are the best.

The way I see it the reason why the quality of kits is good is not the smaller size and selection but the gradual increase in experience in making those objects. The items added in all DLC and updates have increased in quality over the years. DLC released in the last two or three years all have better looking items than DLC from let's say 2015, especially CAS has improved.

    Stuff packs making a comeback?
