I like that the world is ranch world.America is very huge country we different climate, regions, and cultures. Were not all like California or New York
Seeing another climate is nice.
America is diverse and all, sure, but the rest of the world is way more diverse and way less represented in the Sims. I'm disappointed by them choosing yet another US place while all of freaking ASIA has just one world.
Listen I am all for representation for other countries.I just think its okay for them to do both.As long as the new worlds are different unique I have no issue them picking American worlds.
Also keep in mind representing a different country respectfully is harder than it looks. They have to be respectful to the culture.
Is Arisona-based world that deserving of representation when there is Strangerville in the game already? If they want to do so many US worlds least they could do is make them really unique, which is possible. At the beggining we got three worlds based on Louisiana alone, it was so weird.
Also they make so much money on international players they really can afford hiring consultants from different parts of the world.
Oh yes it is! Strangerville has the mother plot going to it.So it's making and living in it.Its not the ideal.I don't know where you are getting three worlds that are base on lousina? The only thing I can maybe see is wilow creek?
Us getting a western style pack is welcome.
Willow Creek, Magnolia Promenade and Newcrest.
I don't know what region Newcrest or Magnolia Promenade are supposed to be.
New crest is empty world that scenery looks like a genric superb or town.
Magnolia is just a world with a few stores in it!
"Generic" is different for every part of the world. If I were to describe a generic suburb it would look plenty different than those places.
It really is fine by me to show different sceneries from the US, but I think international players like me have a right to be annoyed by seeing so many American worlds in a row while we don't have much for the rest of the world. They have money and resources to show different parts of the world, but they choose the easier way.
I know how it feels you want to be represented.I think the main problem is we do not have create a world.I think thing all players are stuck with Ea give us.The thing is there also a lot places in the USA that do not get represented either.Sure not as severe as international.Keep in mind it would take time to represent and a world have theme fits.
Yes, create-a-world would be great! Sometimes I just don't get the way they introduce content from different cultures. When we got an update with Arabic architecture and Moroccan kit I was like it is all so great and beautiful... but where am I supposed to use this? Now we have Tartosa so I use it there.
If from the begining they were set on showing America, it would be a different story, but they want to have international appeal. They want to have an inclusive brand. They say they want to show different cultures. They get criticisied from not delivering on their promises.
[ Honestly, I would think horses might be more likely to be there. Who has horses in the desert?.
Scottsdale isn’t too far from Mesa and there’s a pretty big Arabian horse show event there that seems to be bucket list for a lot of Arabian aficionados. I’ve got a friend who does endurance riding and lives not too far from Phoenix as well as a friend who had horses in Queen Creek.
@Babykittyjade I enjoyed living there. It was like another world, and everyone was friendly. My brother was in the Air Force, and I had just finished school. So I went there to teach while he was nearby. It was a fun adventure for me, but when the Air Force moved my brother, I didn't want to stay so far away from family on holidays. So I moved to Atlanta for a while and eventually back to the Tennessee mountains.
@Haflinger I don't doubt it! Irrigation has made it possible. Yes, Scottsdale and Mesa are both suburbs of Phoenix. So very close. I'm not a horse person. I'm a little frightened of them to be honest, so I probably just didn't notice them.

agree 100%. It's not as simple as just go make a foreign world because everybody is looking for something to pick apart no matter how much research they put into it.
the anti American world thing that's all the rage on social media is weird. There is nothing wrong with American devs making American worlds in an American game. It's kind of insulting actually to shame them for it. The U.S is their home and culture and there are many beautiful locations in the U.S. Although I'm sure their are devs from non American places as well. (Like the wonderful simgurusalo😌)
It just doesn't seem right.
That's like being mad at Japanese game makers for making Japanese games with Japanese settings and characters.
I understand the desire people have for more exotic locations that you usually only find in places outside the U.S because I also like to see a wide variety of places but people are just too culturally sensitive. And every little thing is seen as disrespectful or offensive. I love a pack that has a good balance of positive, and negative mischief things to do.
We could not do a single mischief thing in snowy escape (taking selfies at graves was removed)
for evil sims because no one could tolerate it.
In Sulani cleaning trash is considered fun game play. But hey, no one could get offended by that right? 😌 I'd sacrifice an exotic world for more risky adventurous game play. It's a GAME afterall.
I do believe we will still get worlds based on non U.S countries because the sims 4 content is not finished yet. But I also think people take the sims worlds too literal. They want so bad to tie them in with real life places when it's all fictional and very loosely based on real places because the devs need a reference to create from.
I don't believe it was ever meant to be taken as 100% literally a specific location.
I'm still hoping to get a totally outside of this earth fantasy world at some point.
Yeah the Devs are playing it safe with the American worlds, they don't want a repeat of the whole snowy escape debacle, it was a headache, I sorry for my incoming rant, Snowy Escape was clearly a Japanese themed pack and yet Non-Japanese people got something removed in a pack that wasn't themed about them, What's next a Korean pack without K-pop, Buddhist or festivals like the Daeboreum because Non-Koreans found it offensive, there's has to be a line drawn somewhere, so packs don't get watered down and lose part of the culture,
I know I'm repeating myself but I'm sorry, the way the Devs mishandled Snowy Escape is still a Heated Topic for me.
However that said I 100% agree with the whole out of Earth Worlds idea.

Though I agree that the Komorebi debacle was very poorly-handled, I don't think they're playing it safe. After we got Snowy Escape, we got the British countryside, and a Mediterranean island that seems to take inspo from Italy and Spain.
Of the three American worlds we got since Snowy Escape, High School Years had to be American; it's heavily based on US education and high school TV dramas. No other country is as recognizable when it comes to high school media, especially for a primarily-North American audience. San Sequoia's in a similar boat, since it was likely inspired by Full House and other family sitcoms. While it's less dependent on being American than Copperdale, giving us an American world here makes a lot of sense.

The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017

I'm afraid goats and sheep are going to be pretty much just a reskin od llamas and cows.
That would be impossible due to sheep's and goats being small.
I meant more in a way that one of them gives milk and the other wool. I'm afraid the difference will be purely esthetic. I would love to be wrong about it though.
These types of animals are not like cats and dogs though. They don't do much of anything and people don't do much of anything with them. I'm not sure what people want these animals to do?
One thing I would like is a bigger roaming area for them. I've been using the free roam mod by lot51.
We could get an option of keeping herd for example.
I love this idea! Would be a pain to care for but I'd love to have a heard. 😁

I agree. I'm not super excited for a third desert world. I never play them because Seasons are really important to me in changing the scenery, desert and tropical worlds (and California-style worlds) don't do that much.

Sorry for bumping this post but I wonder why there is still no new roadmap? Do we really have to wait until the beginning of July? If so then yikes...because the "Hot update" was not even an update lol, it was just a DFX drop...lol.

Full agree. I've never understood the complaint and find it puerile and unrealistic. On principle, I'm not against exotic locations being added, but folks really need to touch grass and realize this game has little to do with real life.
The description has me a bit suspicious. First of all, even though it is translated, it seems to not have the typical tone or structure of an EP description, and it's worded weird. Secondly, the whole "online" component just doesn't make sense.
As some of the comments over on Twitter said--it's probably something someone plugged into Chat GPT and had it write. Heck, the structure of the description even sounds like the tone of something it wrote.
I'm wondering, do these "key" sites have a process for new entries, or is it like Wikis where anyone can stick something in?
I've been needing an excuse to boot up TS3 again, so I'll just be working on those horses and Sims and be playing them in TS3 until the day actually comes. As I've said before, if Tuesday passes and there is no announcement, this is, in fact, 100%% fake.
Please if true don't let the eyes look soulless like they were in 3. I am so happy to have this coming that I hate to think how I am going to feel if fake news. Sigh....

Out of the last 5 roadmaps four were announced on Tuesday. The Simthing To Celebrate roadmap was announced on Wednesday, Jan 5, 2022.
None on Thursday. At least none in 2022/2023.
But. There's always a first time. 😄
