I am actually going to buy these kits. I have my sims garden a lot and the basement clutter/old memory stuff is going to come in handy for story telling. A dusty old attic is sounding pretty interesting with my game that I have currently in play. The kits they have been producing have been nice and I have been getting rid of a lot of my cc and using the kits.
I'll buy both but I'm absolutely thrilled about more worn and "hand me down" stuff being added to the game. Not every Sim can be super modern and living in elegance and luxury.
It's kind of sad that I have to point out that anything I say is only just my opinion and may be a different one from someone else.
I will probably buy the greenhouse one bc my favorite builders will probably use that stuff in their builds and I don't want my gallery downloads looking crazy. I will probably go ahead and buy the one that came out a few months ago as well with the strawberry pastel decorations. It just pains me a little to spend the same amount as a stuff pack for what will amount to 40 ish items. Unless the basement stuff actually includes new picture frames, nothing I've seen so far has sparked my interest with that particular kit.
I’m definitely gonna get greenhouse but honestly I probably just gonna close my eyes click on buy for both of them and then is nothing I can do about it.
We had a console tv growing up like the one in the kit. Ours had a record player &, I think, a radio inside the lift-up top that was on the non-tv part of the console. I'd get the basement kit just for that, whether it actually works or not. And yes, I *am* that old lol.
Both pack look really good - normally i don't buy kits - My fav is basement kit - has all the retro stuff classic old sofa/old TVs/crate boxes. After looking at the pic of basement - im kind of inspired to make similar basement for my legacy family - right now their basement is huge.
The love greenhouse itself - after looking at the items the packs with - im guess the greenhouse is not included just parts to make it ?

I begged my grandma to keep our old console TV when it finally broke. In the end she convinced me to help her roll it to the street for bulky pickup. So many memories.
I’m not a huge fan of kits, but I’m actually kind of excited about the basement stuff kit! And I’m tempted to buy both the basement kit and the greenhouse kit on 4/20 for my Wayne and Garth sims. 😆
Does this mean the only reliable way to garden in TS4 now is indoors, and outside plants will keep reverting everyday because they don't know how to fix it ?
I'm gonna assume yes.
For me there is no difference between indoor and outdoor plants. What does help is to always harvest any produce before leaving the lot or going into cas. Plants with fruits on them can revert to dirt piles but harvested plants are fine. In my game at least.
But... we can already make greenhouses? And we already have a ton of plant clutter? What is this nonsense?
We could already build kitchens before country kitchen and decorate bathrooms before bathroom clutter. The build kits just offer new looks for things we can already do.
hmm now why are the new greenhouse roofs not listed in the kit objects? is it gonna be update after all? is it just not shown but why?

The greenhouse roof is not new, we already have it in game. It would have been nice though if they provided a roof version that actually matches the pattern and thickness of the windows. It looks funny with the window frames being so thick and the roof beams are paper thin.
That's so strange, I recently wanted to make a record store but then realized there wouldn't be much to put in there. I was contemplating making CC of the exact item in the kit - records stacked in a milk crate. Yay!

once he is elder though this version will come handy as the bed is shoved into attic by his unintended spawn
Sometimes I feel like sims team can be so backwards in the adding objects order
I really hope the functional heart bed will return so we can tell its whole story

The sims can build a treehouse so they should be able to repair it in theory ...
