There are no food trucks. But several packs come with food stalls where you can buy food and/or drinks. You can find food stalls in
    • city living: every foodstall has a specific culture like Japanese, Mexican, Moroccan,... There is also one stall selling vegetables and spices which mostly can be found in the arts quarter. There is also one stall selling T-shirts
    • cats and dogs: sea food and fish
    • seasons: offers food and drink, the sold items change with each season, this stall can show up in any world
    • snowy escape: show up during festivals and offer japanese food and drinks
    • jungle adventure: selvadorada food and drinks
    • My wedding stories: strangely enough you can only buy Asian food in this Mediterranean world. I hope we can get an Italian stall at some point. There is also a stall for cakes. Both stalls are integrated into a building
    • High school years: food stall selling ice cream at the pier
and probably a few other packs.
The seasons ones can spawn in any world. The other ones only show up in the world of their pack.
You can place them on any lot in any world if you want but then you have to hire a vendor.

For groceries there is a stall that sells groceries in the town square in Henford on Bagley (cottage living) The pack also adds the option to have groceries delivered at home.

Unfortunately all of these options require DLC.

A start would be for the ones we can place to come with a vendor. The four types in TS2 did, so see no reason to not have that capability all these years later. I still think the center photo on the hot dog etc. stand is a sim version of Humphrey Bogart.

    That's shocking. I've had Asian food in Italy. It's a must-miss.
-No, my almost-elderly mother, I don't think it's a good time for you to try for a baby.
-Yes, person I barely know, you have my blessing to hang out with Johnny Zest.
-No person with the mean, hot-headed and self-absorbed traits, I don't think you should get married.

If I ever went to Italy I'd want real Italian food, not the USA make-believe. Just like 'Chinese food' over here is not what they have over there. Learned that one real world.

Just don't eat the pizza. The original concept for pizza may have been invented in Italy, but good pizza was invented in the US. The stuff they serve in Roman restaurants is basically cardboard with some toppings on it. Pasta and meat dishes are the way to go.
