Hate me all you want. I just saw the Barbie trailer and now I want a Barbie/Sims tie-in. I know some people still have PTSD from Sweet Treats 10 years ago, but it would be SO MUCH FUN!!!

Actually, Barbie kind of makes sense in the Sims. I view the sims as a virtual dollhouse for teens and adults. So it's basically unlicensed Barbie.

That being said, I don't think I would like a Mattel/EA collab. What would a pack like that consist of? Would it be a kit, stuff pack, game pack?

Deligracy made a couple of Barbie houses that are on the gallery & I *think* she did a Barbie let's play. I'm also fairly sure there are Barbie households on the gallery.

I got my very first Barbie in I believe 1961. Yeah, she had the painted eye lashes that at least had some depth to them. I believe, if memory serves, she came wearing a black and white stripped one-piece swimsuit. She had a friend named Midge which I never got, but I did get her younger sister, Stacie? and her cousin, Francie. I have toyed with creating another household for my game. Ken and Barbie Doll. LOL

I don't think you need a tie-in per se. Just use copious amounts of that rather sickening Barbie Pink color on just about everything and voila you got it. You could also build the Barbie Dream House for them to live in. (Just don't forget that pink paint.) Sorry, I know some really love the color pink, I just have never embraced it. I was on the side of Merryweather, when it came to the color of Sleeping Beauty's dress. I love blue. Just always have.

I've heard of a trailer but haven't seen it yet. Is it animated or do they use the dolls for such? Curious. I played Barbies for many years, which is possibly responsible for my immense attraction to the Sims.

It's live action. Very self-aware and aimed at teen+ audiences rather than children. And yes, the Sims4 already has a lot of bubblegum pink clothing, so it would be easy to make a DIY Barbieworld.

LOL. I was curious so went to YouTube to watch the trailer. OMG. Pink. Haha.

I never had a Barbie as a kid, but I actually want to watch that movie now. Can't believe I admitted that in public

I may have to return to YT again and seek out simming Barbies. I blame it on my bad cold; I'm currently stuck bored in bed and my head is too fuzzy to think sensible thoughts. I'm sure in normal circumstances I would not be interested in pink sim houses etc...

I think it would be lovely to have some Barbie inspired fashion and hairstyles. Could also be a good reason to give us some pretty vintage dresses and hair styles, and especially really long fabulous hair. The black and white striped swimsuit looked lovely in the Barbie trailer even though it doesn't look that great in most pictures online of vintage Barbies. Then there are also the glamour dresses. There is so much choice it really doesn't have to be a repeat of the Sweet Treats disregard for good taste.

I do think the decades outfits would be fun tbh now that I look at post above

but its just so funny to me because to me it was always like TS1 saved me from those horrifying Barbies I hated

I don't like when The Sims become too "girly" but at the same time I like Barbie universe.

After the negative reactions about Star Wars : Journey To Batuu and Moschino Stuff, the community may not be ready for "Barbieworld" GP.


I'm not against this idea if Ken stuff is included too

Oh, the horrible things I used to do with my Barbies...we had a cookstove, enough said. Did some deviant play in Sims 2 as well, come to think of it. 4 is Barbie enough, I think.

I could see her in the Sims world, would probably be similar to her daily life (depending on which story you chose), expect this time she'd be allowed to be her pansexual self on screen.

Ooo, a Barbie CAS & Build Challenge. This will be fun. Plus, I'm a Vanilla PC player so just the game & it's unlocked codes. I'm so looking forward to doing this. I'll let my fellow Simmers know once I'm done & have saved it in the Gallery.

I've been working on a house for Mimi Landgraab. It has a lot of pink in it. Now I'm inspired to go full Barbie and make Mimi the Barbie of the Sims world. The lot is the former Bailey-Moon home in Del Sol Valley.

Sims and Barbie have always gone hand in hand I think. Just google Barbie on the gallery.

I have two Barbie Dreamhouses in my game. The first from Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse is one of my very first build, used to be in Newcrest but I moved it to Del Sol Valley for Judith Ward to live in.



I haven't touched it in years so it's very rough.
The other from Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures is also several years old at this point and does not have any use, it's just sitting very out of place on a too small lot in Brindleton Bay.

I am simply obsessed with Barbie's pink universe and especially her houses and mansions. If I could make an entire world of Barbies I would. Maybe I have some new plans for Newcrest...
