We all know the big mods like MCCC. But what about the ones that you stumble upon in some random corner of the internet and end up being awesome.

Post your little-known (but awesome) mods here! I love finding new ones!

Mine:
• Carl's Collectibles - you click on your sim and she automatically detects the 10 closest collectibles and goes and finds them on their own. Also it makes plants in season and insects easier to catch.
• No outdoor mopping - does what it sounds like.
• No disappearing relatives - stops the system from deleting people from your family tree
• Lighting Mod - I love the subtle changes in this lighting mod
• Pool water replacement mod - the pool water looks amazing
• Sunrise alarm clock - your sim will sleep until the alarm goes off (at a time you set). Even if they're already at 100% energy, they'll stay in bed.
• Realistic childbirth - all kinds of stuff. You can go to the hospital or have a home birth. You can have medical conditions. And the birth itself is really cute.
• Childhood drawing replacements - makes the drawings a lot cuter (and better)

Not sure how unknown some of these are, but these are some of my favorites:

Playable pets
Occult Hybrid Stabilizer
Choose your own roommates
Honestly there's so many great little mods from Bienchens that tweak so many tiny annoying gameplay things. The pet ones are probably some of my favorites, because I love having pets in my households but without some tweaks they are sick far too often and can be such a pain to manage while trying to accomplish so many other things in gameplay.

The collectable one sounds really cool! I want to check that out for sure.

Definitely check it out! It's a game changer, especially in Granite Falls.

Mercuryfoam is so underrated. I love her mods.
All of them like her
slow dance mod
sit anywhere on ground mod (different positions)
manicure mod
zumba class mod
lie on lap interaction
ballroom dance mod
Ballet
and others free on her patreon.

One of my gems is adult can carry child by softmc9 always wanted an interaction like that and I have been using it for years. Currently needs updating for the infant patch (would not allow me to pick up infant) though so I'm not using it until it's updated but I'm keeping an eye out.

There is a simmer on patreon called thegoldsim. All of her mods are geared towards kids and toddlers and a must have for my game! Like better parties and a lot of interactive stuff for them.

Maplebell more kisses mod is sweet
(She has some other good mods too but waiting for an update)

Pied piper toy making bench
And function loom mod. (Just as the name states you can make toys and clothes with the loom.)

If you have never heard of Waronkcc you totally need to check out her patreon amusement park stuff (she is updating them for the latest patch according to her twitter. They work but show up wonky in the new pie menu) someone even made a water park lot using her cc. Thank goodness because I was struggling to put it all together nicely lol.
And one more that deserves a mention is cepzid. lOVE her mods. She has kids can play pretend in chair (childish sims too) funcional binoculars, functional gym set, the skateboard 🛹 thing that I don't know the name of lol, kids can do more stuff like cook or yoga or do magic. Functional arcade objects, functional bathroom clutter items and more on her patreon free.
Zombies, oh please oh please give us zombies!! :'(

Some of my favorites include Awwoo56709's Vamp Kids Eat Plasma Foods. In the same vein, LittleMsSam has a mod that allows you to make plasma packs from plasma fruits.

Icemunmun has a mod that allows you to make herbalism potions in a cauldron for your all-purpose spellcasters, and LittleMsSam has some new herbalism potions.

Waffle has a mod for werewolves where mediation lowers fury that is very helpful.

I also like LittleMsSam's improved yoga mat, meditation stool, and spa day tablet.

ClaudiaSharon has Ice Cream from the Fridge which allows you to get a bowl of ice cream directly from the refrigerator. The kitchen stuff pack is required.

MissyHissy has a mod that allows the new HSY's phone animation to be for teens only which looks so much more natural!

Peridot has a mod that allows for a shorter university experience. This one comes in several flavors. I like the one that allows graduation in 4 credits for my rotation Sims, especially Sims who already have some work experience. Don't use this one with the academic aspiration though or you may not have enough time to complete it! Also there's Simsmodelsimmer's mod to generate a graduation photo if for some reason you miss out.

Wicked Pixxel has an active library career mod which I love.

QMBibi's Stirring the Pot has fried chicken available. 'Nuff said!

Definitely downloading the shorter university mod! University is waaay too long and tedious.

@Babykittyjade Thank you for mentioning the toy making bench! I’m definitely downloading it for my Kris Kringle sim! 🎅❤️

Lumpinou's Rambunctious Religions mod and Pregnancy Overhaul mod are two of my favorites. I also really like MercuryFoam's ballroom dance mod. The animation is so nice.

I really enjoy Little Ms Sam's Dress Code Lot Trait. She's updated it to allow it to go under lot challenges. It allows you to set the dress code for the lot and sims autonomously change into the appropriate outfits. Now I can have high end restaurants that require formal attire, pool lots that require bathing suits, and lounges that require party dress. Love it.

Chingyu's Faithfulness mod is my favorite lesser known mod. It may be more popular than I know, but I don't recall seeing it mentioned much on here. It's not just faithfulness, it includes romantic autonomy too. If you're like me and you want your favorite couples to stay together and not get into all the cheating that is so common this mod put a stop to it. If you want all the cheating and drama that goes with it, this mod will bring that too. I haven't tried that part out, but there are several traits available in both CAS and rewards that promise to make sims properly afraid of monogamy.

Some teeny weeny but essential mods I have in my game:

- No Cold Clothing Inside by Scarlet (now maintained by blewis50): Sims will automatically change from cold clothing into their everyday clothes as soon as they step inside any building.

- No Sad Holiday Moodlet by Sigma1202: Sims will no longer get a sad moodlet if they don't manage to fulfill every single requirement for every single holiday or calendar event that pops up.

- No Constant Phone_AutonomousInteractions by lazarusinashes: Eliminates all autonomous phone use. Sims will only use their phones when you specifically direct them to.

- No Temperature Death by RevyRei: Sims will still freeze or get overheated, but they won't die from it.

The Studio Effect Player by Andrew (from S4S, creator of the teleport statue). Let you use every ingame effect on your lot, like fireworks, all the magic effects, thunderbolt and lightning, lighthouse lights, the DJ Booth laser show, etc. It also has some controls like looping, limiting to a certain number of execution or delaying the effects. Pretty clever design.

And of course Uplifting Elevators by Ravasheen, which gives your much more than a simple elevator mod. It's like automatic teleporting, no matter whether you use it horizontal or vertical.
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.

Don't know how known this one is but it changes the vampires all to together and makes them similar to the vampires from Twilight but as of right now the creator, AvathePit needs help fixing the mod after the infant and growing together patch

Edit: Any modder that is available and want to help them check their Patreon, AvathePit
