Sigh, another features thats either bugged or only works if your sim is ONLY in the fine emotion. I have done "power walk" with 4 sims now and they never do the new power walk animation. They will only do their normal walk picked from cas or if they are confident, energized, etc....they will do that walk. Either this is a bug or it was made incredibly bad if your sim will only do the "special power walk" when not doing one of the other walks I mentioned. If you select power walk, it should both void any emotion walks or ur cas picked walk......anyone else notice this issue? All 4 of my sims were YA to Elder. There were literally a very small amount of features with new animations, the losing a tooth thing for kids which has been taken out for who knows how long, and this which either doesnt work properly or is incredibly poorly programmed and finicky, not sure which.

I sent two sims who were in a fine mood - they approached the starting sign okay, spun into their workout clothes, then one of them became happy because they love the outdoors, and boom, animation stopped. They both still received the moodlet, as though they'd completed the task.
Would love to make a bug report, but don't know if it's mod related yet, and if so, which one is causing the problem.
Would be good to know if there are players out there who can successfully power walk or jog around the lake and pondevery single attempt - with or without mods.
I was really looking forward to this feature, thought it would be a great alternative to jogging, especially for elders.
Will return to mod testing ... I really want it to work.
Turns, out - after LOTS of testing - it wasn't mods after all. Even without mods folder at all I was having the same issue. So stuck all my mods back in (I had been careful to follow Luth's thread and only installed the ones that had been updated.) This time, tried from a different lot, and voila! Worked! Power walking they went.
Turns out, it was because I had bulldozed the Recreation Centre and changed it to residential. I do that in all my worlds when I first get a pack, because I like to build things for myself. Residential is handy, as I can leave the lot blank till I'm ready to build something. But that seemed to have broken the trails from that lot. So I built a quick recreation centre, sent the same sims -game full of mods - and no problem. One of my sims was in a fine mood - and didn't do the power walk animation, just the confident one, and the other was in a sad mood, but she did the power walk animation. But at least they were together moving around the lake.
So next question, is changing the lot and losing function considered a glitch? Maybe further testing is required, but I'm off to play.
I would suggest yes for the simple reason they let you do it. Either the power walking is glitched or the ability to change the lot type is glitched.
You cannot change the Onsen in Snowy Escape as it’s required for the expedition, so this should really be the same if power walk was supposed to be tied to Rec centre.
