Are the recreational centres limited to San Sequoia?

Last night, I was working on a new save and wanted to turn one of the lots in Copperdale to a rec centre but the option was not available in the venue list. I thought it might be a bug and checked it on a different lot in San Sequoia and yes, the venue appeared on the list.

So, does this mean we can only create rec centres in San Sequoia? Has anyone placed a rec centre in another world?

I’m pretty sure we are supposed to be able to place a recreational center anywhere you can place other lots. There are a few lots you can’t change though. In Copperdale I don’t think you can change the lot type of lot where the school is or the lot next to it, the one where the prom and graduation occur.

That's good to know. Thank you, it's possibly something bugged in my game. I might try doing a game repair to see if that clears it up.

What lot are you trying to change in Copperdale? The high school and auditorium cannot be changed as far as I know. Not sure about the others. ThrifTea might be used for aspirations but I think you can change it.

I would check to see if you can change the lot to other things like library, nightclub - if it’s only rec centre missing then it may be bug.

It's the park that's close to the pier. I tried a game repair and that seems to have fixed the problem. I can now see the rec centre in the list of venues in other worlds. Thanks for all your help.
