I think I'd love it if our sims were affected by the amount of light they have in their houses. I'm not a big fan of interactions getting locked, so I wouldn't go as far as saying that sims should not be able to read when the light is out, but if they try to read or write diary in less than optimal lighting, they could get a headache or strained yes (tense, uncomfortable). This would be more realistic than running around on panic from fear of the dark.

A new trait could light sensitive. Night owl sims and werewolves with Nightvision wouldn't suffer the full penalty from the dark.
