Social Menu won't show Event interactions

In every holiday there is some kind of interaction you need to do to have the full event completed. Like asking Father Christmas for a present. And so far, I haven't been able to do one because it doesn't show up. I had to pause to look through every option and it still doesn't come up and doesn't come up when you first click the Sim. Other ones do, but not the ones needed. I found an event conversation option under small talk but it's never the right one.

Does anyone else have this issue or is it just me?
