I chatted with the Amazon customer service and showed them their own product page. Perhaps they come up with a code.

    Not agaaaaiiin :(

Curious on this, did you get the game code delivered via email or was it provided on the Amazon site?

Both, I got it via email first and it's also visible in my Amazon game library.

I'm really sorry that I always complain after buying on Amazon, but as I said, the new EA App doesn't verify my German Visa card and I refuse to drive to town by car just to buy a wallet card in the 21st century.

For everyone interested in the issue, here is the official help thread:

Gotcha, we had a user on AHQ who had 2 different codes supplied via email and Amazon Game Library, making sure that wasn't the case here as well.

Ah ok! I just checked it, unfortunately my code is identical everywhere.

    Ugh.

Stand by Alan, we are going to get to the bottom of this if it kills me.

I don't have the bonus content this time around for some reason, even though I got it for High School Years and Cottage Living. I'm guessing they've changed their conditions for what qualifies for the bonus content?
I believe it depends where you buy it. I buy a lot of my games at CD Keys, for instance, but I now know you do not get the bonus content if you buy from them so if I want the bonus items I buy from EA.

They have a list of approved retailers. For example, in the UK it is only Amazon or GAME (or EA themselves, of course).

Yes that's what I meant, I assumed they had changed the list of retailers as I had bought all 3 packs from CD Keys and this is the only pack I've not received the bonus content for which is ashame, but not the end of the world.

Same. I ordered from CD Keys (per usual) and this time did not receive the bonus content. Bummer

Which is odd when you think about it because the advertisement says as long as the game is ordered by some time in April, you should receive the bonus content. It would be reasonable to assume this meant everyone who ordered from anywhere before that April date would receive the content.
This promotional offer expires April 27, 2023. Valid for new purchases of The Sims™ 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack (“Product”) from the Origin Store (origin.com), the EA app (www.ea.com/ea-app) or participating retailers. Redeem code for packaged Product by April 27, 2024 to receive bonus content. Bonus content will be automatically entitled for digital Product. Offer has no cash value and may not be substituted, exchanged, or sold for cash, goods, or services. May not be combined with other offers or prepaid card redeemable for the applicable content unless expressly authorized by EA. Customer is responsible for applicable sales tax. Void where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. Requires The Sims 4 & all game updates. For PC, see minimum system requirements for the pack. Internet connection, EA account, acceptance of EA User Agreement (terms.ea.com) and Privacy & Cookie Policy (privacy.ea.com), registration with single-use product code, and applicable platform account may be required to play and access online features & bonus content. Installation of the Origin Client (origin.com/download) or EA app (ea.com/ea-app) may be required for the PC product. Age restrictions apply. See o.ea.com/ea/child-access and applicable platform account for details. Mandatory content updates may be downloaded automatically, require additional storage, incur bandwidth usage fees, and require an additional purchase to access. EA may retire online features with 30 day notice at ea.com/service-updates. See final product details at ea.com/legal, if and when available.

When they say participating retailers they mean authorized trusted retailers. CD Keys has always fallen under unauthorized. I'm pointing this out not to shame anyone who buys from CD Keys but to let you know you can't always expect to get bonus content from that site.

The authorized trusted retailers list is on the EA Help FAQ page. I buy directly from Origin now EA to avoid this issue but I totally understand trying to save money where you can.

Live and learn. It's really not worth the $8 discount all said and done. Lol didn't used to be a problem in the past, I wonder why it is with this pack.

I chatted with CD Keys earlier and they created a ticket for my concern. So, we'll see if they can help me out. I will never use that swing set, but still... kinda cool to have in my back pocket ya know?

its weird i bought the game at 1:30 est and still got the bonus content tho - when i was installing the game on xbox saw it there - what comes with bonus content?

The bonus content is a swing, a toddler slide and an infant carrier. I know the bonus content for cottage living shows up as base game, not part of the DLC. So check base game objects as well if you can't find it under growing together objects. Edit : I just got the pack myself today. I bought it through the EA app and the bonus items show up fine. this time the bonus objects are tagged as objects belonging to the EP.

@Future I don't know how chill they are about refunds but maybe you could get a refund if the bonus content is worth that extra $8 to you.

Hmm not a bad idea. Idk how they feel about giving refunds after a code is activated but can't hurt to ask. I'll see what they say when they get back to me regarding my ticket they created.

    Well here's an update:

I started a chat with customer support at CD Keys to inform them that even though I preordered Growing Together through them, I did not receive access to the additional preorder content. They created a ticket for me and said they would get back with me.

I just received an email from support and they ended up giving me a second code and said this new code is specifically for the preorder content. I entered the code into the EA app and now have the preorder content in my library.

So, if you're like me and you purchased Growing Together from CD Keys but noticed you did not receive access to the digital preorder content, simply contact their customer support and hopefully they will issue you a second code so you get the extra stuff too.

Woah, I'm astounded that you got it and I'm amazed people have been getting bonus items from them in the past.

When I had the problem with the Cottage Living bonus items I was 'reliably' informed by the EA rep that we cannot get bonus items from CD Keys as they are not an approved retailer and that was always true for me in the past which is why I bought from EA this time at the full darn price 😕

Just to bring this story to an end: Today I finally got my bonus code via email from Amazon ;)
