Did I hear correctly that birthmarks fade over time and aren't permanent? If so, that's disappointing. I was really hoping we'd keep them as new skin details.

*bopping to the awesome simlish countdown music*

I have the volume maxed and can barely hear it.🤔

I have a feeling you'll want to turn down that volume before the actual stream starts.

I kept my volume up when the stream began and it was hard to hear, still. Just my two-cents' worth.

I had the same experience. Kept both computer and headphones volume high and the sound was still had to hear.

I forget where I read it, but apparently when your child sim loses a tooth & puts it under their pillow they'll get a gift and money from Tooth Beary/Molar Bear. Not sure if it's true or not though.
I remember that from the livestream, but I don't remember seeing any mention or imagery relating to bears. It was just referred to as the Tooth Fairy in-game, and the image we see was of a fairy-like tooth.

I haven't seen this mentioned on this thread, and I didn't get to watch the entire livestream, so I'll ask: Do we get new playpen objects, or do we have to build one out of that fencing?
@FatTribble23 there are portable cribs you might be able to use as playpens (not sure of options) but I also saw the gurus had used the fencing to make a playpen-type area.

I think there's only the buildable one. You can put whatever you want inside it though. There's also the portable crib, but that's likely better just for naps.
Thank ya'll for the answers. I finally realized that what I thought might be a playpen is actually one of those portable cribs. I was hoping for a real playpen like we had in Sims 3, but oh well.

I'm mildly disappointed that all the interactions for kids still require an object. Where is tag? Although it would also require an object I guess, I'd love to see hopscotch as well.

VERY unhappy about the pie menu "reorganization"
Really? This is something I personally been wanting for the longest time. The menus are a mess right now. Not sure how this can be a bad thing...

If I'm remembering correctly, it's the infants birthmarks that will fade over time (maybe not always?), and there's versions of them for older sims if you want to keep them.

I really enjoyed the live stream!

And I'm really excited about both, the update and the pack. I still want to waite and see how they really work after they are out. But if the pack is mostly bug free, it might be the first pack I will consider worth the full price!

the infants have 2 choices of types of mark in CAS- 'stork bites' which fade over time or 'birth marks' which will grow with them in to adulthood, from what i understood from the stream.

    About the BG update:

Science baby!!! Epic! I will really look forward to this feature. It would have solved so many predicaments in my stories, but now I'll be able to. Thanks, Devs!

I'm still neutral about the infants, but I will enjoy playing them for the first time. The new stuff looks cute (yay for the new bassinets).

But I'm afraid that the next patch will break the whole game, and that they won't fix the supernatural speed (Vampires & Werewolves) that the Devs broken in November :s

    About the EP:

I liked some items like the Treehouse, the family photos and the water features.

The stream was all about talking, and talking and talking but not showing the gameplay. I only saw notifications, and so far the milestones look like badges (no gameplay at all). Sorry now I feel that the EP is not for me because:

-The devs never said if they took the occults into account for the gameplay.

-Thanks to how the devs showed the new lot type I feel it is like a simplified Arts Center (from City living). I already play with the beautiful Arts Center lot.

-The world is a let down: I expected at least ONE urban neighborhood. The residential neighborhood is not customizable even if I demolish the premade houses. It is full of fake houses of the same style. I did not see anything special or new at the world (or maybe the devs did not show everything because they keep talking and talking and talking).

-I feel the new system will be like Wants and Fears, Lifestyles, "Story Progession" and that compulsive "Best friends" from HS (that I did not bought because of this, it is the only one that do not have an OFF choice) : bad tunned features that destroys the already achieved personalities of my sims.

-I saw that the OLD toddlers issues were not fixed.

Maybe all this is a perception of the livestream... I will see how the EP works for other players ;)

Sim guru Morgan tweeted that occult toddlers are more likely to get certain quirks so they have thought about cross pack integration. Hopefully it will be well implemented 🤞

Not to be a rain on the parade pooper, why is there no closed captioning for this stream? I can barely hear what they are saying. Not cool as a hard of hearing person. I like what I'm seeing at least.

They have it, takes awhile to show. Unfortunately, whwn I did it the subtitles were random words 😕.

    Heya,

The captions for the livestream on YouTube have been updated and appear to be accurate from what I've watched.

Thanks @EmmaVane @fae_brass for the answer about occults. At this point I don't know why I expected a better answer :|

A real "extra work" would have been to design special quirks for the occult infants, so the aliens wouldn't have been left out of the selection.

Yes, the alien babies were left out. As an alien player I feel alienated, angry and a little offended.

I know, I know: we supernatural players are niche, we are second-rate, we are expendable. But we have a reward: every three or four years we receive the best quality packs. This is why I'm still a simmer.

Thanks for the devs that give us Vampires GP, Strangerville GP, Realm of Magic GP, Werewolves GP, Paranormal SP, Jungle Adventures GP <3<3<3 Thanks for your REAL extra work.

Maybe alien infants don’t have special quirks, but the really look good!

I'm so geeked out now. I wish we didn't have to wait until Tuesday for the fun occult babies. :p

Indeed @SheriSim57 they look cute, all the infants look cute actually. Sims 4 CAS is the best of the series. I just wanted a little more gameplay for my already cute sims ;)
