Pick My Heir

My legacy save file from 2015 that had over 30 generations finally died. The file got corrupted I'm assuming because I can't even download the families I saved to the Gallery- gives an error message with a big red X over the family icons :(

That said, I started a new legacy save file a few weeks ago and now the kids are finally adults in college, graduating soon, so I'll need to pick the next heir!

In order of oldest to youngest:

Wren:

Traits: Squeamish, Cheerful, Perfectionist

LTW: Neighborhood Confidante

Likes: Pink, Purple, Gray Colors/ Alternative, Cottagecore, and Japanese Folk Music/ Dancing and Fitness activities

She is also a Vampire.

LTW: Country Caretaker

Dislikes: Cottagecore Music (With his LTW that makes me chuckle)

The Jealous trait is a huge challenge to deal with, so Linus is a hard no for me. I honestly like both Wren the chipper vampire and Harlowe the actress who wants to be alone (Greta Garbo much?).

I voted for Harlowe because the jealous trait is difficult to deal with and the squeamish one can be too. I am so sorry your save file died. 30 generations is an amazing achievement. I would love to just get to 10 but I think the closest I have got to that was in TS2 when I got to 8. I don't think I've made it past 4 or 5 in TS4. My plan for TS5 (whenever that will be) is to keep one dedicated save file from the very beginning that I will probably start off with my Simself and play it on a regular basis so that I can achieve a great legacy like yours. I hope I can manage it!

I chose Linus, having a werewolf heir would be different, and pretty interesting.
However, your Vampire heir is pretty much immortal and would still be there for multiple generations.

Thank you for the kind words! As long as I've played Sims (20 years or so), I've never successfully continued with a legacy save and always abandoned them. These Sims were just special for some reason, so it was easy to continue! It was a rookie mistake to not back up my save files when updating and I'm pretty lucky it wasn't corrupted earlier on
