I wouldn't mind the wait if they hadn't hyped this up since October. They should've dropped the first bit about infants with that teaser that came out a couple of weeks ago instead of October. That's almost half a year's wait for the update.
The first thing I noticed was how full of life the animations were. Even before we got the behind-the-scenes info, you could tell that they had a lot of detail put into them, compared to much of the Sims 4's other animations.

They look roughly the same size as infants. I wonder if it's just the angle though. And I wonder if there will still be a stage where the baby is born in a bassinet before you age them up to an older infant...

This. The wait just feels a little TOO long that I almost wish they had done a surprise update like with toddlers. I think a lot of people like myself have put their games on hold for infants, lol.
I’m glad that we finally have a date, though! They do look a little similar to toddlers, but the new interactions & build/buy look so cute! I am SO excited!!

I lost my newly started legacy (dont ask) so maybe that was a sign to wait a bit longer. Maybe send my founder to Uni before marrying and starting a new family. Sounds like a plan to me.
Time goes by so quickly I'm not impatient (well too much so). Plus gives me more time to save up in case a new ep is in the near future as well.

The infants look very good, lots of customisation and the crawling up the stairs was funny. They do look very similar to toddlers in appearance but also they look like they will feel/play very differently.
I’m glad they added lots of clothes and different interactions, and things with pets, it looks like most people will be happy.

It’s unlikely besides any patches but I guess we will learn more on 2nd February. The new expansion family seem to have an infant so I would guess the expansion wouldn’t come until after the patch.
The infants look good. I can't wait for them to arrive. But looks like we have one and a half month of waiting time left. infants were promised at the beginning of 2023 but 14th of March is no longer the beginning of the year. The beginning of the year would mean the beginning of the first quarter, not the end of the first quarter. I feel so dumb, I should have seen this surprise extra waiting time coming. At least we now have an actual date.
I don't get the meet the Michaelsons thingy. The woman is holding an infant which won't be in the game until a month and a half later? That's a weird decision.
Infants look like toddlers lol. I honestly don't have a problem with that at all but it's just something I noticed. Though infants practically are toddlers before they learn how to walk so it's understandable.
I'm not a big baby fan but it's still so nice to be getting freed babies!
Toddlers were done amazingly so I have high hopes for infants. Love all the little movements.

The concept world art suggested pushchairs are coming so I imagine they could with the new EP, I wouldn't bank on that bring base game though...

I just realized how huge that crib is.
