If cars were limited to base game worlds plus one EP world, I'd want that world to have a gas/service station, a drive-in movie theatre, and a fun car show area.

Also, wouldn't a gravel, offroad path for ATV, 4wheelers, or ski-doos be fun? Could also be a fun dirtbike area similar to ski hills in Snowy Escape.

I liked having old beat up cars in the Sims 2 and building them from scratch. If cars do come, i hope they come with the ability to have a fully functional garage.

I would love to have a camaro and mercedes benz g-wagon in the Sims 4.

All kinds of cars would be nice, they would help tell better the story of a sim. If they bring cars, maybe they could add RVs and motorhomes too so sims could sleep, cook, eat, and use bathroom in them too. Sort of like the tents, but with more functions.

I agree that they are likely at least starting to draft cars, only there are a lot of different aspects that would go into it. If it were coming this EP, we'd have been hinted it already. Instead we've got the Tooth-Bear-ie thingie, and anything infant.

When they do do this, I hope they change it so your sims will no longer walk off to the edge of a neighborhood to "go home." At least for the ones who own a vehicle. Instead have them walk to the nearest road and have them "get in" their car. I don't care if the cars just magically appear there when they do this. I think 90% of existing neighborhoods have roads. The only exceptions are Hidden Lots, which are smaller and easier to leave anyways.

I also hope for something similar to the old beat up car you could purchase in TS3 and fix up. I hope they make it so you can open a car selling dealership if you owned the Get To Work pack too.

Another way cars can be streamlined in with other features we have is if you could upgrade cars with new features, perhaps using a new type of vehicle upgrade part, including eco-upgrades with the Eco-Lifestyle pack.

It seems with the trend of "clutter" kits involving everyday objects with absolutely no practical purpose in the game except taking up counter space, I suspect that if (and when) we get cars, it will be a kit with cars (which have no interactions whatsoever) and garage doors/parking spots.

Am I terrible for admitting that I would totally buy this :D

No. It's better than having to deal with debug cars and some weird workaround for garage doors. It's also the simplest and easiest way they could add cars without a ton of changes that will likey create a ton of bugs in their wake that will take months to fix.

I'm not sure if I would take that as a hint, vehicles (cars, trucks, construction equipment, etc.) are a pretty popular graphic used on "boy" clothing just like dinosaurs, robots, animals, sporting equipment, etc are ..... but it could be *shrugs*

There's been "Car Hints" for over 7 years. If cars do come in Sims 4 it will, if not it won't.
It is what it is. This is not Sims 3.

It's funny because we actually get new car models added every now and then.

I feel like they should add them but maybe just make them rabbit holes or go around what you can already see (like when a sim goes jogging and you can watch them go around). maybe they could also add a delivery driver / taxi driver job??

    Cars are always coming.

I just wish we had more toy cars to scale up for my front yard.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

So, you remember the card SimGuruLindsay posted back in 2020 when all that Batuu drama happened? She said we were getting new skintones next, but she also said 4 things (requested) that were not coming in that moment. Bunk beds, farming, babies and CARS. Guess what, we have been blessed with three of them by now, I think cars are a sure thing next to babies. What do you think?

C'mon, I think most of us just want cars animations and be able to fix them like TS2, we don't need them in the road, just an animation leaving the house, don't ya? Please EA. End this game with decency.
As you said, there's alot that can be done with a stationary car placeable in the Sims.

    - Eat your food in it.
    - Sleep in it.
    - Woohoo in it.
    - Read books in it.
    - Sit and talk in it.
    - Fix the car.
    - Children can play in and on it.
    - Fry eggs on the hood during hot summerdays.
    - If it's a pickup, you can fill the back of the car with water and take a bath in it.
    - During hot days, activate air condition and on cold days, heater. Might have to reach a certain level in mechanic skill to build it. Basically, the car will be perfect for those Sims that lives outdoors.
    - And of course, the most important thing: When you send your Sim to a public lot, they will all (instead of running around doing what they pleases while the game is trying to go to the loading screen) enter the car and leave.

    Sure, I'm all for a car add-on.

Listen to radio, take them to the gas station, and have a job fixing them. That's what I'd want besides classic cars added.

I remember posting somewhere that my ideal "bands" pack would also come with cars and rather than 1 large world with three roughly similar neighborhoods, each "neighborhood" would be like it's own town as if it were a stop on a tour, with progressively more elaborate venues to play in.

I hope so, we have gotten so many hints, or not-hints for cars over the years so I hope that we will finally get them. I think there is a lot of potential for cars in the sims4.

Cars could have conditions, different types of engines with different fuel economy (petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric), travel bonuses, customization, cars that sims own could show up at parking spaces, sims could be able to buy cars used or broken and fix them up for a profit.

And the thousands of house builds that have oversized toy cars or debug cars can finally replace them with real cars...

Speaking of fixing up and selling cars for a profit, I like that idea. And it made me think it would also be fun if we could do the same thing with houses, have a rickety old house we purchase and fix up to sell. We could change it any way we wanted to and get double what it cost to fix it plus the amount it cost to buy it.

This is a great idea. I play Windenburg like the neighborhoods are different towns, it would be nice to have something like that for a bands pack.

I don't really care about cars but it does seem like the residential neighborhood in San Sequoia is perfect for driving around in. Lots of roads. It would be believable to me that it was created with the idea of eventually supporting cars so a cars pack may be coming.

If cottage living really was hinting at cars I really don't like that they hint features years before they actually release it. Kind of seems they do it just to string the community along to give them incentive to stick around until the feature arrives.
Well because of the pandemic I think things got a little behind. I know they hinted at toddlers in Get Together as there were signs with toddlers on them with slashes through the sign, meaning no toddlers here. They were hinting at horses, in growing together, and unicorns and fairies as well. And, I presume they have been working on updated infants for awhile, as that was a very big update, just like toddlers were.

I would also love to see hotels and casino’s at some point, and not rabbit holes. Ones we can build and put anywhere we want.

You aren't alone with the bands. That is my biggest want, that and an active singer career something like what we had in TS3.

I go back and forth about cars because this version of the game just isn't properly set up to make the best use of them. I really want cars and if we get confirmation that functional cars are coming I'll be over here properly geeking out, but somehow knowing how much better they could have been without all the loading screens.

I enjoyed TS2 cars just fine. I’d like to be able to have cars with garages where our sims could drive out of the garage or car port/driveway, or from the street and down the street of the neighborhood in those neighborhoods before going off screen. There are many neighborhoods where cars would work just fine. And, the one they don’t they could go in your inventory.

I would like cars to be functional too, be able to listen to the radio, be able to wash them, be able to work on and repair them, be able to fix up old ones to either use or sell, be able to drive children to school, be able to drive off to work, be able to drive to community lots, be able to drive to university or high school, be able to woohoo in, be able to teach high schoolers how to drive, be able to make out in. It would be nice if we could have a lot that could be made as a gas station/store ( to pick up food items etc. even if the pickup part is a rabbit hole)/car wash lot/workable garage career. I realize some worlds would work fine with cars, and others wouldn’t be so practical. Those with get to work should be able to make a car sales lot. There are a lot of things you can do with cars. Some might have one car in a garage, some might have 3 garages with cars, if they live in the city, like parts of San Myshuno, or parts of Windenburg without roads the cars may go into their inventory simulating a parking garage. We could even have careers stemming from cars. Truck driver, Mechanic, bus driver etc. it would be nice if the mechanic career could be active, and people could bring their cars to be worked on.

I would like cars/home garages to be basegame, with a few cars, but, an expansion pack could add on motorcycles, trucks SUV’s, functional fixing up a car for hobby and sales, gas station, mechanic career etc. This way it would also open up being able to get different kits with different kinds of cars in them. The expansion pack coming after cars would be a great Expansion to add hotels and casino’s as well, since you could drive there.

I have to admit I would rather see horses and bands as their owns packs because I think they would be more fleshed out that way. Or maybe horses with medieval pack ,
