Portia and Kristopher's relationship is still friendly, but more competitive these days.
Portia has no trouble seeing Kristopher's newly adopted children as her packmates, too. Whether or not they will be werewolves. Thanks to the tunnels in the park, she can go there anytime

This is my tree. One day, I'll be the boss here.
Saskia started an art degree. She completely loves it.
Our aspiring maker is also starting to dabble in the world of freelance crafting. I'm using the Reduce and Recycle lot trait to give her plenty of bits and pieces. She's been making rugs and upgrade parts for the house, and now it's time to try going pro, at least part-time during school.
She has time to socialize too. Here are Calvin and Camilla Moon, the Bailey-Moons' kids, who fell in love with Mt. Komorebi on a ski trip and decided to move here as young adults
Alexis Harjo moved to Willow Creek and invited Saskia on a date to the local coffee place, to which she could actually accept!
Sparks didn't really happen on the date, but Saskia still thinks Alexis is terrific.
(I just love plantsims in all-white outfits)
We have Saskia to thank for our Generation 2 heir portrait.
Lucy aged up to elder and now she looks like a proper active grandma
A very active grandma.
"Yeah! Beat that!"
"You win, Mom."
"But it's my turn again!"
"You definitely win. I'm going in for tea."
She did decide to retire from her basketball career though.
She has a knee, you know.
And a grandson.
Here's that grandson as a toddler!
(this gameplay was all before infants)
Charlie gets plenty of love from the family, especially Aunt Portia
Who also took the opportunity to release a video combating myths about werewolves being dangerous to little ones
It's not that Meg doesn't enjoy caring for her son
It's that life doesn't feel complete without a soulmate in the picture.
"If I win, will you grant me one request?"
"What's the request... oh my goodness."
"I know you have responsibilities here. We don't have to live together. We can still be everything to each other. I want to make you feel as cared for as you make me feel, for always."
Over the course of many romantic long walks in the garden, and serious conversations (that suffered many interruptions), they came to a decision: they would get married, and live separately until he was ready to retire. Then Satoru would come and join Meg and Charlie in Mt. Komorebi.
"Hold tight to that glimmerstone, my lovely Meg, and we will never be far apart. You know where to find me at any hour."
Meg's family was delighted to hear the news. Time to plan a wedding!
It's so wonderful to see Meg find someone good for a change. I really love seeing her go get her happy ending herself and not wait around for Satoru to make the first move. That is such a patriarchal trope. Portia is a great mother. Someday she'll have her own little wolfie. You go Lucy! You still got game! (I think that's how that saying goes.🤷♀️) Too bad the spark wasn't there this time for Alexis and Saskia. Maybe next time. If not her soulmate will come along.
Meg is probably the one passing through the most changes now, but what stuck with me the most is the protective attitude of Portia towards little Charlie, so cute!

Good luck on the next time Portia! Good grades Meg! Wow she missed class once for a great reason and she got a D+? That professor is tough. Aww Portia hugging her nephew🥰 Happy birthday Lucy, and woah! Nice shot, she’s got moves! Charlie looks adorable holding the plushie 🥰 Aw congratulations on the engagement Meg!
No matter what's going on in life, the mountain is always there...
It's a turning point, the first of our legacy founding couple has died. Rest in peace, Michael Strachan.
Meg complained to her dear friend the Grim Reaper that it wasn't fair of him to take Michael away when she was about to get married.
"I'm not in charge of the timing," Grim protested.
"Well, maybe there's a way you can make it up to me..." pondered Meg.
"Oh goodness, I would be so thrilled to officiate at your wedding!" gushed Grim.
They hugged.
"I've never been invited to a wedding before," Grim confessed. "I only ever crash them. Thank you so much. I might cry."
"The rest of us are crying," Portia said. "Our dad just died, remember?"
They grieved for a few days, and life continued... Grandma Lucy made the wedding cake
Portia and the Ice Wolves brought some weirdness to Willow Creek suburbia (where Christy, Evie and Cassiel have a house)
The youngest of Saskia's crushes, Isao Suzuki, just became a young adult. They went on a date to a lovely pool in Willow Creek
They giggled over the time that Saskia gave Isao a flirty painting in high school. Tonight, there were sparks of a more mature variety.
Camilla Moon called Saskia up for some dating advice.
"Just walk away," Saskia said. "Trust me on this one."
"What is that you gave Charlie to eat? You know he's going to be a spellcaster, right, not a werewolf?"
"Hey, we should raise him to appreciate all of his family heritage."
"At least he is potty trained now. Unlike some people."
For the next meal, Meg made some nice, normal onigiri. Charlie liked that too. I think Charlie just likes food.
Portia loves and misses her dad, but his ghost is another matter.
Getting rid of the fear of ghosts requires an interesting recipe
I'm not sure I want Portia to fight her father's ghost? We'll see. She might have this fear for a while
At least she's feeling fitter, more confident, and more ready to take on Kristopher again when the time comes...
Noo RIP Michael! I turned on aging for this legacy and it's so sad when I think Aeri will become an elder😭 I won't be ready for when she leaves😥
Well at least Meg has Grim as a part of her wedding,. Lmao his reaction🤣 Oh my goodness, this line cracked me up "I've never been invited to a wedding before," Grim confessed. "I only ever crash them. Thank you so much. I might cry."🤣🤣 Glad to see all is going well with Isao. Oof yeah walk away Camilla. Omg what did Portia give Charlie😱 Good luck Portia on the next match with Kristopher, but yes. Don't fight ghost dad😔
How sad the girls lost their dad at such a happy time. Grim as the officiant? Now I've seen everything.🤣 Fighting ghost dad seems so wrong. There has to be some other ghost for Portia to fight. Great advice Saskia. It's wonderful that things seem to be going so well with Isao.
In case anyone was wondering what Camilla Moon did about wanting to date Roderick Goth
I feel like there should be another option besides "Sorry to hear it." How about "You dodged a bullet there, kiddo."
And now, Meg Strachan and Sage Satoru Inoue's wedding!
They held it at the park/event venue in Brindleton Bay that used to be a church. They decked out the building in Brindleton white and Komorebi red. They chose Harvestfest for the date so that everyone from far and wide could attend. Meg brought her father's urn and gave him a Necrocall right before the ceremony so that he could be there, too.
Unfortunately, one important participant stood them up.
Was Grim out on a call? Got cold feet? Hampered by some overenthusiastic Harvestfest gnomes? I have no idea. He was just unavailable.
Anyhow it was beautiful
Grandma Lucy sat with toddler Charlie. The Parrott family, who used to be neighbors and high school classmates, came. So did Kristopher, and Makoto and Angel from the Magic Realm.
They both looked so beautiful saying their vows to each other
Meg felt a deep pride in becoming this man's wife, and joy at being joined to her soulmate at last.
There was also a lot of chaos, much of which I forgot to screenshot, but this is a good example. When people weren't falling in mud puddles, they were running around terrified of ghost Michael, or of the dark, or trying to dash into the reception hall to dig in to the feast Lucy made (not that I can blame them).
Still it was a fun party. Lucy even got to dance after Charlie fell asleep in a chair.
Good start, you two.
They got back to the house. The exhausted family members went to bed. Satoru and Meg refreshed themselves with a couple of potions and went off for some fun in the bedroom
And then to the after-party in the Magic Realm!
Harvestfest was coming to a close, and with it, Meg's ability to invite Satoru over. She gave him a key so he could come and see his wife and stepson anytime. And Meg could glimmerstone her way to the Magic Realm anytime, too.
As proud as Meg is of her sage husband, she's also looking forward to when he retires.
(Wow! This challenge really can set up some long-distance relationships. This is new territory for me in this game)
That was a lovely ceremony. Meg's dress was beautiful and so was the venue.❤️ I think Grim does those kinds of things because who's going to risk making him mad by asking 'why'd you ghost us'? He just might take you literally! It was touching to see Meg summon dad back to watch her get married.
Poor Micheal, the end of the first generation is always difficult... The Grim, though? XD I was really hoping to see him at the ceremony, too bad he didn't show up.
The wedding was very cute too. And I laughed again at how they had "some fun in the bedroom" approaching the end XD
The fact that the newly married couple can live apart is unexpected as well, I never played this possibility before. Curious to see how it evolves, now.
You can follow the Legacy Miller from my blog and the forum thread, *Chapter 5.29 posted on the 18th of April 2023*
I know! I truly was quite disappointed when Grim no-showed. Such drama.
I know a few couples in real life who are married but live apart for various reasons-- career, extended famlly's needs, immigration status-- they always hope it won't last forever but sometimes it lasts for a very long time. The husband in one such couple told me once that he felt he and his wife were more connected than many couples who live together, because they have to choose to connect with each other and work at doing so. Maybe there's something to that.
Aw So sweet that their father was able to go to the wedding! Shame Grim didn’t show up, maybe he had an emergency work call🤔 Charlie looks adorable sitting with Grandma🥰 Congratulations Meg. Haha oh my, lots of falls, sims were running away from ghost dad too😭 Lovely way to end the day.
No skiing werewolves this time, sorry guys, but we do have Charlie aged up to a child! Ain't he cute? He's cisgender and a Music Lover, although no one else loves his violin playing right now.
Charlie is a little bit of everything: creative, social, smart but kind of unfocused (not unlike his mother), likes running around outside but has a bit of a belly anyway.
Charlie's aunt Portia (the werewolf) used the Waxing Gibbous Moon's fighting prowess to gear up for another challenge to Kristopher...
I spent all her perk points hoping that would help, but some perks are more annoying than others
The big night came
He made short work of her, again.
Huh, maybe the Waxing Gibbous moon's fighting prowess applies to him too...
I really don't know what it will take for her to beat him one day. She's young and strong, her fitness is almost maxed, what gives?
At least she got a cool new tattoo to celebrate the battle scars
Reunion Day came! It's hard to believe it has already been a whole year since we moved to Mt. Komorebi. Here the family is taking in their portraits and heirlooms (and urns) so far.
Generation 1: Michael and Lucy Strachan of Brindleton Bay. Michael's Heirloom is the Treefish he caught there.
Generation 1, honorable mention: Michael's beloved pet dog Delilah. Her Heirloom is the broken fossil she dug up.
Generation 2: Portia Strachan of Mt. Komorebi.
Joy and mourning together.
Long-distance travel and invitations are allowed on Reunion Day.
I decided to let Meg and Charlie invite Satoru to get to know his stepson a little better. Meg can use the Glimmerstone to get to the Magic Realm anytime, but Charlie can't.
The Festival of Youth was also happening, so they used that as a fun activity.
Charlie enjoyed Satoru's blessing very much. Apparently, it was hilarious.
Charlie met Cameron Akiyama there. I think this will be our local best friend now. Since Cassie Akiyama turned out to be evil, she and Saskia haven't been spending so much time together anymore.
Saskia does have other friends. And they're all entering young adulthood. This is Sayuri Kobayashi, who used to go to high school with Saskia and whose family owns the ski shop. Sayuri had a major change in her life recently
Saskia had lots of fun playing with little Jayden, and thinking about what her own future would hold...
For the moment, it holds some good-to-middling university grades!
(This is seriously the least focused I've ever been on my university students but it's good to see that her grades are in-character. I've always thought of her as a good-to-middling student)
Portia's friends are moving on with life too. This is her best friend Cassiel Irving's daughter Christy. What is it with all the werewolves becoming kleptomaniacs?
Meg loves her life, but she can't help daydreaming about the past sometimes. She and Satoru still haven't made it to Soulmate status, despite being at 100% friendship and romance...
Nonetheless, she's got a major achievement to celebrate now! Go Meg!
The devs really did make it difficult to beat the Alphas. I haven't played with my wolfies in months so I can't remember the name of the perk for sure but I think it's called Apex? I know Ava had whatever that perk is and she beat up Greg. I just know Portia will beat Khristopher eventually! Charlie sure is growing up fast, and yes he's very handsome! Satoru is a gem. Thank goodness Meg found him. She came so close to some less stellar options. Congrats to her for graduating!
@DaniRose2143 There is an Alpha Wolf perk that looks like it's designed to enable you to defeat the current leader. Portia has it. So far it doesn't seem to be having that effect. She'll keep trying...
Werewolf apres-ski.
Baby spellcaster snowboarding! (Yukimatsu is so pretty)
Meg was supposed to go to graduation but was interrupted by...
this little fellow
Welcome Toru! (Named after his dad Satoru)
Portia understands her responsibilities.
Where is Meg? Meg is in the Magic Realm. She's not only canoodling with her sage husband, she is also working hard on potions and spells, and the occasional mishap occurs
Fortunately, Meg knows a spell to fix that!
Ho hum. What else have you got?
Saskia and Isao are getting serious... she invited him over. This one wasn't scared of the werewolf sister. He was already a fan.
"Omg! I've watched every one of your videos like five times!" said Isao. "Werewolves are so cool!"
"Which of us are you here to visit?" wondered Saskia.
Pay no attention to Meg's dress clipping through the kotatsu table...
Not everyone is a fan of Portia's werewolfness.
Father Winter is such a wet blanket... he just seems to disapprove of fighting. That's not very sensitive to the ways of werewolves, Father Winter.
Needless to say, Portia approves of Isao, and dropped in on him in turn...
"I'm ready! I'm ready! YIKES! I mean, I'm ready..."
Charlie and Cameron Akiyama spent time snowboarding together and just hanging out
Toru became a toddler! (this was still before infants)
His favorite word is sled
"Looks like someone needs a scruberoo!"
"Meg! The last time you did that, things caught on fire!"
"Mom, that was ages ago. I'm much more skilled now. Look, he's fine."
"Heehee! That's sparkly!"
Lucy's best friend Valentina drops in from time to time. This is lovely since so many of Lucy's dear ones are no longer with us.
Lucy is having quite a long life as a matter of fact
This legacy house is accumulating ghosts at home
and elsewhere
Guess who may live forever? This goldfish may live forever. Portia caught this little guy when she was a child. Amazing how long goldfish can live considering how it usually goes in real life with goldfish...
Isao called Saskia to say he wasn't feeling so well, but he still wanted to hang out, was she up for that?
He didn't look so well
"You've been like this for how long?"
"Um..."
"I think we should call my sister."
"Has he been howling?... never mind."
Portia took him to Kiyomatsu Point where he could rampage in relative safety. Saskia expressed her support
Portia was getting hungry and a little ferocious herself, so she took Isao hunting.
"I'll just stay here and do homework..." said Saskia, to no one.
They came back. They ate. Saskia finished her homework. Isao didn't seem any closer to rampage.
Portia took him through the tunnels. Isao was thrilled to be in Moonwood Mill at long last
Portia took the puppy for a walk
The puppy howled all over the place but still didn't rampage
(Where is Meg? Meg is doing toddler care in her own way)
The next night Saskia invited Isao out again
He still hadn't rampaged. Didn't stop them from enjoying the Festival of Light
And a moonlit hike
Isao enjoyed dashing back and forth along the hiking trails. Anyone who has ever hiked with a dog will recognize this behavior instantly.
This is fine
Their tracks are hilarious
Saskia met some woodland sprites
She made a secret wish and they offered their blessing
Saskia took that as a sign.
Sometimes when you go through something together, it tells you something important about the relationship
And it's time for Saskia to go through a transition of her own!
This is a good job for a plantsim with a degree in fine art.
This really is a quite an unpredictable generation XD
There are periods in which nothing really happens and then days when everything happens at once, isn't it, Meg? Giving birth to Toru at the same time as the graduation really sounds frustrating... The baby is cute though.
And also Saskia seem very determined in following her vegetal lifestyle, good for her!

Aww Charlie looks so cute with his glasses. Wow! Kristopher is very strong if he’s doing short work of Portia, won’t stop rooting for her though! Very cute to see Satoru and Charlie getting along well🥰 Has Roderick come to visit Charlie? Megs grade are not so bad, considering she has a toddler to look after as well. Oof no Meg, Don’t think about him! Congratulations on her graduation!
Aw Welcome Toru! Portia sleeping nearby the crib, bless you. WOW father winter! Toru looks adorable, and haha his favorite word. Nice Lucys living a really long time😎 Isao looks pretty cool in his red aura, but yeah Portia come help! Saskia staying behind to do homework..in the cold🥲 Aww Congrats on the engagement! The floral designer careers seems fitting😁
Nope, Roderick has not shown up once!
We do not get very many visitors living here.
I wonder though if they might be showing up at the door briefly and getting distracted by the ski slopes? Ski slope autonomy is very powerful.
Or maybe it's just that Roderick is evil and doesn't care about seeing his son! Let's go with that.
Portia got nominated for a Starlight Accolade! How far werewolf videos have come. Too bad she can't attend.
On New Year's Eve, Meg came to surprise Satoru at the Magic Realm, and discovered he had a surprise for her instead. Their friends gathered around applauding.
"The time has come," Satoru said.
"Time for me to retire."
"And now you can move in!" Meg exclaimed, delighted. "Happy new year! Happy new start."
Satoru tendered his resignation, and a new sage appeared immediately. (As if by magic)
Satoru filled in his replacement on a few details
"All right, you crazy kids, I think I've got it! Have a beautiful life together!"
Seems like she's really excited to take the job!
As Satoru and Meg settled into Yukimatsu together at last, Saskia and Isao were ready for their own wedding day.
They held it upstairs at the izakaya. That's more their style than a big church hoopla.
Lucy Strachan with all her children and grandchildren in one photo! From left to right, here's Lucy, Isao and Saskia, Toru, Portia, random bar customer, Meg, and Charlie.
Saskia, Portia and Meg are Lucy's daughters. Charlie is Meg's son with ex-boyfriend Roderick Goth. Toru is Meg's son with husband Satoru Inoue.
Portia is the generation 2 heir (Mt. Komorebi), Charlie will be the generation 3 heir (Willow Creek).
You're doing pretty well, legacy founder.

Isao remained high in fury, but not yet rampaging, all night. Portia kept a close eye on him.
(Portia, you clean up pretty well, when you bother to clean up!)
We didn't bring Michael's ghost this time, not wanting to have quite so many terrified guests, but Lucy told him all about it later.
Saskia and Isao moved into the starter in Wakaba. Saskia prepared for her new life as a floral designer by planting a garden and getting a flower arranging bench.
Saskia and Portia's room seemed awfully empty after Saskia moved out, so I redecorated it in a manner befitting Portia.
Portia doesn't spend much time in there, but I like how it looks anyway. It includes a lot of furniture she made.
@mightysprite Yay! New Chapter!❤️ (We really need a dancing Snoopy emoji)
Some many wonderful moments! Congratulations to Satoru on his retirement. Yes, Lucy and Micheal have a beautiful family full of wonderful kids and grandkids. Lucy filling in Micheal was really beautiful. Charlie dancing is adorable! It looked like everyone had a fun time! Congratulations to Sakia and Isao too! Good luck Saskia on your new career. It took me a second to realize that design on the wall in Portia's place was a howling wolf. At first I thought it was a Christmas tree made by someone who was...well...you know...not a great artist. Whew dug myself out of that one. I really like the look of Portia's place. I think it's perfect for a werewolf.
I love the wall art that came with Werewolves! I only wish there were more of it, and more of that aesthetic where it looks like the drawings were just drawn on the wall.

Go Meg!

Werewolf apres-ski.
Baby spellcaster snowboarding! (Yukimatsu is so pretty)
Meg was supposed to go to graduation but was interrupted by...
And a moonlit hike
Isao enjoyed dashing back and forth along the hiking trails. Anyone who has ever hiked with a dog will recognize this behavior instantly.
This is fine
Their tracks are hilarious
Saskia met some woodland sprites
She made a secret wish and they offered their blessing
Saskia took that as a sign.
Sometimes when you go through something together, it tells you something important about the relationship
And it's time for Saskia to go through a transition of her own!
This is a good job for a plantsim with a degree in fine art.
And also Saskia seem very determined in following her vegetal lifestyle, good for her!
Also, the writer happened to pack a lot into that update.
