I bought Horse Ranch today, and had the same problem I did when I bought Growing Together last March. Even with the purchase completed (bought through the EA app), the EA app doesn't recognize it being bought. No download button anywhere. Three chats with EA Help, multiple attempts at trying different things they suggested, and then the last help person said it's a known issue being worked on. I finally resorted to reinstalling Origin with a workaround I found on Youtube. When I did that and started Origin, Horse Ranch immediately starts downloading. However, I don't want to have to do this every time there's a new pack. What's even crazier is that the EA app still doesn't recognize I've bought and downloaded Horse Ranch. When I load the game, all the stuff from Horse Ranch is there, including the world. But the EA app doesn't "see" it and prompts me to buy it again.
I am becoming really, REALLY unhappy with the EA app. If these kind of problems happen every time there's a new pack, the EA app either needs a major overhaul or to be scrapped. We shouldn't be forced to use an app that causes so many problems for players.
The EA App needs a huge overhaul. Although I can get back to my games, I still have to repair it or clear cache. I must be online every single time. Itβs so annoying. It takes me an hour and a half just to get to my game screen. I only get short plays. π€·πΌββοΈ

Last night I left my computer on overnight as I enabled offline play before and thought Iβd do some building in the morning. I came back to find the error message. When I went to repair, there was an error message that the download failed and now the app is gone. π
I must reinstall from the website. Any other game Iβd give up. Please can we go back to Origin or launch some other app. This one is just not working.
Iβm not considering any further game or expansion packs until itβs sorted. I canβt play my game.

EA app wants to repair my game, it will not let me play on an older patch.
Since I only play my game with a lot of mods this is not possible, I will not go through my mods every single patch. I want my game to remain as it is until there is a pack or a mod that I wish to add to my game.
If I am not able to play offline I cannot continue to play Sims 4.
I wonder at what stage companies realise something isnβt working π€π€·πΌββοΈ.
How long has the EA App been running and itβs still so buggy. I spend more time trying to get the App to work than playing my Sims games. Iβm lucky now to get a couple of hours play a week.
Itβs frustrating that Sims 3 is tied to it as well.

Depends on the company. Fortunately, my TS3 is on a machine that is non internetable and is totally disk loaded. Same goes for 1 & 2. UC is a different matter.

I haven't played TS3 for ages. I tried running it from the disc on my older laptop but it still wants me to sign into EA App or Origin, as I still have Origin installed on that one. But I'm too scared to sign in in case it messes up my currents laptop with EA on it, which hasn't given me any grief for a while. Just the occasional games not showing up and having to do a restart and they appear again.
I can still play off line - I hope once again I haven't just jinxed myself.
Shouldn't I be able to run TS3 with the disc without EA or origin. Is the art to that running the disc with wifi turned off, as I never thought of that?
I'm more interested in EA fixing the thing. It crashes at least once per day, more if I bother to revive the corpse. Am guaranteed to get 2 - 3, sometimes 4 error messages per gaming session. This sort of thing should be a rare occurrence, not the normal daily ritual.
The App wanted to update again today. So I did it.
When I went to play I went offline as usual, and I got a pop up saying some of my files are corrupted, and a repair game should fix it.
Currently it's repairing - a sneaky way in my mind to force me to update my game, as I haven't updated since Origin forced me to do it ages ago.
Heaven knows what I'll find once it's done.
I hope it'll be fixed and not permanently broken!
Okay, all done, no problems, but I notice something new, in the top right corner, an assistant or somethi ng/ sims live mode? I'll have to google that.
When was that added? I couldn't find that.

I just ran the app and it's wanting to update, but I decided to bypass it and go off line, just to be safe.
