I would wish to celebrate mine Canadian style too, because of the crowded calendar with Thanksgiving wedged between Halloween and Christmas, but in most of the US, it would mean baking pies and roasting turkeys in hot, late-summer weather, to celebrate in early October, so I guess it has to be late November here, and it's still too warm for all that baking in some parts of the US, even then.
I'm lucky to live in snow country. Even then, early October would still be too warm for all that baking, these days with climate change.
