I'm just too old to care anymore. If they'd produced a generations pack with more for elders a few years ago I might still be playing now but I open the game and there's nothing now that interests me. Too much of a mess, too overwhelming with all those worlds with Sims I don't want to play with either.
I think The Sims 4 Generations will come this year and if the guru posting a pic of him with a scythe is a hint. I feel like they They will be adding funerals to it if they do make Generations I would like to see more family bonding things like mom and dad telling your teen and child sim's to come home right after school because grama is coming over and bringing back teen parties and baby shower's I am a big story teller so anything to tell my family's story's would be great also REALISTIC Adoption like this mode I saw on YouTubeI forget what it's called foster family's would be cool too and maybe family reunions
I really wish we could have canes back, maybe a special walkstyle? Other than that, I've never really been a huge generations fan because I mainly play YA/Adults. It has changed a bit when they developed the Teen lifestage, I play teens a lot more than I used to, but I've never had any interest in babies and toddlers. Children have a lot of potential though. I would love to see them have special abilities like imaginary worlds/imaginary friends, something engaging and fun to play with as opposed to just being able to tackle limited skills. Children's aspirations aren't very interesting to me either so I'd love a revamp. And elders could be super interesting too if they weren't just older adults.
I was thinking... we have live-stream on 31st of January. Live streams usually promote hufe updates and new packs and are followed with said new things two weeks before premiere. Does it mean we will have trailer for the new expansion pack in a week or two and the release of expansion pack is middle of February?
why are you so focus on a generation pack the sims4 parenthood pack already fills that role so as a player i do not get it?
Parenthood doesn't really have anything that generations had, it was purely focused on parenting and positive/negative character traits. People would like more meaningful family gameplay, especially for kids and elders who are lacking! (of course parenthood added a lot, but there is still more missing, like daycare, strollers, interactions only for elders, treehouses, costume chests, boarding school etc.)

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but.. if you aren’t interested in sims at all (so it seems) why are you on the sims forum? Please don’t take offense to this. You must be atleast a little interested to be here, right? I hope you can find your sims spark again and get in to it :)

does it, though? Parenthood, as a name suggests, focuses on parenting and raising your kid to be certain way. Generations was something which focused on family, everyday life, all age groupss and this is what we want.

to be honest, I was thinking the same. If I was 100% done with TS I would have left it and community. But complaining in The Sims 4 is really fashionable so--

You’re right on that one. Sometimes I feel like I’m one the only people in the community that doesn’t really have a complaint.
I have been playing the sims 2 a lot more lately. It has been so much fun but there are so many things the sims 4 has done better. CAS, build/buy, toddlers, I like the sims 4 seasons better than sims 2 and 3. I like having groups that came with get together. I could name more but you get the point. I can't wait for the infant update and for the new expansion. I know people love to hate on the sims 4 but I love that they're still adding things and clearly they are listening. Game development takes a while.
As for generations I have a whole bunch of things I would like to see but for once I'm going to put those aside and wait to see what they give us first. I want to be surprised with their ideas and not get so caught up with what I want.

I agree with you @auroraael14 I loved sims 2 and 3. For some reason since playing Sims 4 I have a hard time going back to the graphics of the previous games!
I think it will be called Family Life, not Generations.
I think you might be right. The sims 4 EP rarely are an exact repeat of previous packs. I think chances of this new EP having a new title will be higher than repeating generations as title. It depends on the main focus of the pack and from the few clues we have it seems to hint more towards family than different age groups. But it is still very early to tell.

With all respect, it is not "fashionable" because it is not a trend people follow. People in the community voice their complaints and issues with the game because they have the right to just others have the right to get excited. As I see it, because I also relate, I issue critiques because I love this game so much and have been playing since the very beginning, so seeing it in the state that it is can be upsetting, because we want it to be amazing. Thats all it is haha.
I was sure in was Generations. I still am but I obviously it was lean towards more of childhood gameplay, obiously. It looks it will focus on age groups between the toddler and the child. I hope we will see ANYTHING for elders, though. False teeth teased in October got my hopes up but it looks this is just part of clutter kit, lol. 1,5 week to the stream and we will know more
If we won't have anything to do for elders in coming EP then I am sure the next thing we get is The Sims 4 Senior/Golden Years Gamepack. Coming late spring/early summer lol

Wedding
Kids Room
Toddler's Room

Cottage Living
And the upcoming new Baby Lifestate.
This is Sims 4 not Sims 3.
what does cottage living have to do with family/age groups?
