Restaurant still broken?

For a while now I feel like my sims can’t go to restaurants. I just tried to have my sims go on a date there and it was super buggy. I did take out a few broken mods and I’ll try to do a date again. But even before that I feel like this has happened recently even before the broken mods and stuff. This used to be my favorite feature. Guess I’ll just have to have my sims do something else.

I learned from another player that it helps if you shift-click on the workers that are generally outside when your Sims arrive and click on Debug/Object. I'm not having too many problems with restaurants.

You could try it. Some people have problems still for sure, but mine personally works, although it just takes a really long time and you have to clear the most of the sim day to have a restaurant date. But it does work, and I’ve seen youtubers revisit the pack and say it’s a lot better now.

I have gotten into the habit of resetting the chef(s) as soon as I arrive at the restaurant. The only things that are broken for me are that my dining companions sometimes reset and don't finish their meal, and my favorite restaurant lot has something going on where the waiters won't bus the dishes anymore. And the need to reset the chefs of course. None of those destroys the experience really, I can always have a neat played sim bus all the dishes before leaving the restaurant, but it will be nice if/when it gets fixed.

The problems I was having was first off sometimes my sims won’t go to the bathroom on. Restaurant lot and like last time I played I don’t know if they put the food order in. It like glitched out and still said that my sim had to order but never did so I gave up and went
Somewhere else.
