Help! My Sim Still Only Has a Crush UPDATE

I had thought that once my Teen aged up, he would lose the crush indicator for smitten of love or whatever else is available. Both he and his fiancée have full friendship bars and romance bars, but he still only has a crush on her. If I do the interaction 'forget crush', which works, do I just need to go back and get their relationship bars full again? Or will this irrevocably kill their romance? Please, and thank you, in advance.

I'd love to know this as well. I have a sim in a similar situation.

I made a backup of my save yesterday. I haven't as yet gone ahead with my experiment to have him try to forget crush (which does work). I use MCCC so I could easily cheat their relationship back to where it was. But, I chickened out yesterday. Plus, I ended up starting to play way too late to do much, too. I had hoped the answer would be here waiting for me this morning, but alas, not yet. I intend to start gameplay early today. If it works, I will report back here. If it doesn't work, I'll sing out the alarm. Either way, I let everybody know.

UPDATE: I took some time this morning to get the rehearsal dinner venue ready, since it's Sunday in my game and that's set for Monday evening. Then I went to the Bride's family and selected their wedding garb. I also went to the Groom's family (his parents and youngest brother) and did the same for them. I decided it was now or never. I went back to my Sim's house. When I checked the relationship panel for the Bride and Groom, he no longer shows he's got a crush, but has the adoring sentiment, instead. Yay! I guess it's just a matter of time, before that switches over. The couple aged up to YA on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively and it's now Sunday in my game. That's just days. I'm uncertain if it had more to do with her age, than his. Either way, it appears as if it's only a matter of time before the Crush dissipates.

Yeah it's disappointing adults can't have crushes like teens in this game. In real life they do.

A crush for an adult is no good unless or until it leads to actual love.
