I only just finished updating my mods so I could play, like... last week, lol. I think I'll hold off on updating for at least a few days. Hope this fixes issues for people!
No more goofing off on the job – Doctors no longer T-pose while performing surgery.
Oh my Doctor Lothario lost his Lothario technique finally?
I'll have to see this who wanna get pregnant?
*looks at my sims that are trying really hard to not get picked*
I see the remnants of the aging glitch haven't been fixed. But I guess this is a good patch for scenarios, since they got the lion's share of updates and bug fixes, outside of HSY.
The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017
Fears make the game nearly unplayable and all they fix are scenarios and high school years? No mention about wants and fears or the aging bug? Exactly the kind of patch I expected.
And that the phone usage has been toned down for non-teen sims.
But I gotta say, my mouth dropped and I was like 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸-ery when I was reading the Base Game updates, did anybody else wonder why it appeared that basically the ONLY THINGS they were focusing on were about scenarios?
• We clarified some Scenario goals.
• Text for Scenarios with existing households also is more accurate.
• Limited-Time Scenarios show that they are time-limited again and end at the proper time.
• Scenarios info popups now have a link to Lessons so you can learn more about them.
• Lessons for Scenarios have new images.
• Scenarios no longer immediately complete when starting a second Scenario in the same saved game.
• The Event and Scenarios details panels no longer are blank when double clicking their button for information.
• We made some small interface improvements for Scenarios. For example, when selecting an existing household for a Scenario, the button to configure Neighborhood Stories no longer appears.
• In the My Households tab, households with active Scenarios no longer have a purple heart icon while Neighborhood Stories is inactive.
• The Scenario bubble no longer overlaps with the sidebar for some resolutions.
• The "Engaged in Conflict" Scenario no longer repeats the 'On Second Thought' goal.
• Scenario "Perfectly Well-Rounded" has the goal to "Reach Level 3 in Any Skill" which now can be completed.

I'm quite upset about all these resources wasted on scenarios and pronouns while the real bugs remain open. Restaurants? Toddler traits/genetics? Paranormal career? Sims not running any more?
Yeah I don't really play with scenarios,
don't particularily use pronouns enough to notice issues with those
don't have HSY soooo 90% of this patch is probably not gonna have anything to do with my gameplay at the moment
i guess its nice though when/if i eventually get HSY
I'm glad if the doctor animations are fixed though
and i did notice the toddler alien leg thing recently due to mortimers alien babe so nice if that is gone
I wonder since phone is only mentioned in HSY did they only fix overdone phone usage brought by HSY
not like base game phone overuse that came with patch? which is the actual freaking issue?
Wow. Yeah the focus on scenarios is incredibly disappointing. I was especially hoping for a fix for sims autonomously flirting with happily taken sims. Their partners keep getting angry even though there's no romance bar.

I heard that happens in real life too! Why take the drama away?
Bad timing for scenarios fixes on my opinion. We will have to wait till next one and hope it comes with whimset fixes, fears tuning, fixing SDX CAS thumbnails, etc. '-'
I still don't understand why a new feature must be incomplete to be added to the game...

This is exactly my question. I don't have HSY but the phone obsession has been driving me crazy in game. It started with the patch. Afraid to update my game and be disappointed yet again. :(
@Atreya33 The aging bug is already fixed afaik? you can check answers.ea.com for info on the bug you are experiencing if any
Hooray for fixing the T-posing doctors! that was a weird one and everyone had it seemingly
Hooray for fixing the "drop out" notification that early HS graduates got!
Hooray for tuning down the phone usage!!
Hooray for having sims NOT ask out the family members of their desired date!!!!!!!!
Hooray for fixing Room Additions for our decorators!
And a cautious hooray for the pronoun issues, surely there are a lot that were fixed and a lot still to go
I agree that wants and fears are still strange and will probably need a few updates before they really make sense in gameplay.

TS Forever 💚
Now my sims have to keep being tense, angry and annoyed... like myself.

I hoped they fixed the new eyebrows swatches too.
Nothing but scenarios... scenarios and more scenarios. They forgot to fix the bugs that are actually ruining the game.
