llplaying on normal lifespan and for some reason my teens only have 8 days rather than 13 in the teen lifestage. Going ro have to fix it with MCCC. Only mod I have is MCCC and it is up to date for the latest patch.

ETA: setting the age span for teen to 13 with MCCC did not work as this was already the selected default setting. Tried changing it to 14 then back to 13 and again I did not work. My teens still have only 8 days as teens. Maybe I will just have to pause their aging with MCCC for 5 days after they get to day 8.

This is at the bottom of @crinrict 's post at https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2022/07/sims-randomly-age-after-loading-into-live-mode/ (linked to by @simgirl1010 )
You can now load your household without worries. If you didn’t turn off aging completely, Sims won’t live as long as before but they won’t be dying or aging up right away.

Sims won't live as long as before. I wonder if that means that all lifespans have been shortened by design in this patch? or does crinrict just mean that if you had aging off, and then turn it on, sims will start to age and thus won't live as long?

They mean that if you switch the lifespan from long to normal your Sim won't live as long as before (when lifespan was long), but at least they won't age up several days every time you leave CAS or load the lot. It's a workaround until there is a fix.
If I just posted an outfit you like, I have good news - there is more where that came from!

Just to test out the new high school stuff I began a new save on normal as I could not bear to have my sims living long lives switch to normal, but the pace was too much for me so I changed it to aging off for all played and unplayed sims in that save. I also muted neighborhood stories for a bit. The social bunny phone app takes too much time I find and all those messages you get from other households don't show up in the sender's game at all, just the fact that they're on your friend msg list.

Yeah I also got it multiple times and then just stopped getting them, now Samzyz is saying the warning never showed for him. So yeah... they knowingly removed a warning on a bug that they KNEW ruined games... I'm flabbergasted to be honest, never expected them to do something like that.

*edit* Knowing how it is to have a game ruined... I just want to send my condolences to those who lose their games.

All they have said thus far is "we are aware of it, no ETA".. so .. no ETA, sounds like it's not much of a priority for them. So this might take awhile.

*edit* and with them removing the warning before fixing the bug... I suspect quite a few people are going to lose their games ... scary stuff

Nice, they will not let me play unless I download a buggy patch that is probably I do not own yet. Making it so people on single player games can't wait for you to fix bugs before they download a patch is really annoying.

Apparently the warning was causing some peoples games to hang, so perhaps that's why they disabled it

Technically if you are fine with normal lifespans then the biggest of the bugs isn't going to be a problem.. You can also switch to normal lifespan and it fixes the aging bug. For those of us who are on rotational games though ... switching to normal doesn't work on rotational, it just goes by to fast if you are playing multiple families it makes it very difficult to keep them synced the faster the game goes... if that makes any sense

    *edit* Edit for clarity

Ok so I’ve finally played my game with no mods/cc with lifespan turned off and my sims are ageing up and dying. I play with ageing off for a reason. Luckily it was my test save and not my main save. This bug is bad.

I'm playing a new save that I started with normal lifespan and then after a few game days, I turned aging completely off - I'm so used to long lifespan but I cannot play any of my former saves.

Yeah, I haven’t touched the game ( or Origin ) since the patch came out. I don’t use mods or CC and have one very old rotational game and a scenario rotation both on long life with aging turned off. Just hope they fix that big bug soon, as I want to buy and play HSY.

I saw it a few times, yesterday. I had to exit without saving at one point, and when I powered up again, got the warning. I didn't bother counting how many, though. Haven't yet powered up today. If it's not there I think I will be glad. It was redundant and that's annoying.

That's not true. I play rotationally and only play on normal. I play each family for one sim week and they are in lockstep the whole time. I saw the warning a few times while adding mods and all that, but I've been in game for a while, so hadn't noticed it going away. I also knew about the aging bug BEFORE the warning existed, which is why I started a new throwaway save. Emergency patches usually come a week after or so, so relax guys. They have to find the problems and then fix them, without breaking 50 more things.

@WildIrishBanshee Ah, darn, and here I was looking forward to their breaking fifty more things. Knit one, pearl two, drop a stitch or even two!

Most issues I can ignore but the age boost has ruined the game and now it’s unplayable for me. I don’t expect a miracle but can they pull a few all nighters and get this and the other problems fixed!

At least DrGluon had fun with this bug; he killed all but a few of the people his sim knew lol.

I just got a pop on the front loading screen of the game regarding them being aware of the bug and looking into a fix for it.

I haven't even updated yet nor is my game connected to the internet, I play offline. How would I get that message?

You only think you're offline, Mwhahahah!

You set Origin in Offline Mode.

I believe it is under Origin. Go to Origin, not Sims.

Thank you both for replying. I tried it and I it worked. Still scared to load my save.

PLEASE FIX TEENS IN TS4! I NEED YOUNGER TEENS NOT YA TEENS! (^_^)Please add Music Bands with lead singers! Please add vehicles and garages! Vehicles have always been part of The Sims.

There's literally no reason to believe they aren't already doing this.
