TS4: Wishlist

Hey 👋🏼

I’ve been playing abit of Sims 3 lately, and there is SO MUCH stuff missing in TS4 that really shouldn’t be in 2022. Below is my wishlist that I hope Guru’s notice:

Realm of Magic Refresh:

- Redo the spells and make them fun - compared to Supernatural’s Witches, Spellcasters spells do not have any substance.

♦️ Base Game:

- Add “purchase additional home” with the choice to rent out your empty properties for extra income
- Bring back Create-A-Style
- Add a supermarket to purchase groceries
- Bring back The Repo Man. It’s the Sims after all and we all love consequences for not paying bills!
- Add Astrology signs
- Bring back Carpools and School Buses

🏝 Island Living:

- Add “become a resort owner” so we can make resorts. This feature can also work for the Snowy Escape pack

🧾 Get To Work:

- Ability to open our shops without us being there and a choice to hire a Manager.

🐈🦮 Cats & Dogs Refresh:

- A missed opportunity for a Pets EP. This pack could be completely refreshed and renamed to Pets with a wide selection of animals for our Sims.

🎤 Get Famous:

- Active Singing Career where our Sims can be a solo artist or form a band and write and record their own songs (or purchase from a ghost writer) at a recording studio that we hire out, name our albums and choose album art, promote it in interviews on tv and magazines, headline tours and record music videos.

🍽 Dine Out:

- Everything in this pack needs a refresh

🌎 Jungle Adventure Refresh:

- Same as Cats & Dogs, this pack could be refreshed and renamed to something like World Adventures and it offers more foreign locations, stories and activities.

That concludes my wishlist. I’ve been playing TS since Livin’ Large and I feel I should be more into TS4.

Drop your wishlists below! 👇🏼

I agree with all of this.

I also feel there should be so much more in ROM- broom sports, more spells and potions, pet familiars don't age, magical games, duels based on the three different types of magic, defeating some evil witch/wizard... I mean after you complete the magic aspiration, what's the point?

    • Specific teenage aspirations
    • More lot traits, and one lot trait for each venue type allowing for combinable lots
    • Babies that are more than objects, or at least that are more versatile objects so you can move them around, like you can a book.
    • An attraction system

    • Make all careers semi-active with work from home options.
    • Add careers for the jobs we see in game (library, nanny, repairman...)
    • Add a career for museum curator and add more activities tied to the museum (such as art class or archaeology classes where the museum curator can mentor similar to how a gym trainer can mentor you)
    • More versatile stairs (spiral, curved)
    • Make it possible to create ghosts in CAS and change ghosts' needs so that they are not the same as for the living (ghosts wouldn't eat for instance).
    • Make it possible to limit ghosts to certain lots (similar to how you can limit werewolves to moonwood mills). Options would be "lot they died on", "lot their urn/gravestone is on" (allowing for graveyards with lots of ghosts), or one or more of the hidden lots such as Sylvan Glade or Forgotten Grotto to create an afterlife realm where you can visit, but they can't leave. Setting should be per save.
    • Make it so that bartenders, baristas and vendors autospawn on any community lot if their objects are present.

    • Get rid of the dramatic music when a new phase is introduced, also make sure sims don't wake up in the middle of the night because they get one (I'm sure little Lisa can wait to find out that she is now a picky eater until the morning).
    • Make it possible to stop a kid that is making a mess as a parent, rather than waiting for them to finish before disciplining them. Make this action autonomous if the parent is in the same room as the toddler and kid making a mess.

Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!

No Pre-teens but mid adults? Intresting. I want both but there's a reason for you for not having pre-teens in TS4? Just asking, your list is amazing!

Eco Lifestyle: wood chopping, makeshift windmills and other makeshift electronics, fabricated fridge, a store where you can go to buy only fabricated items, a contest to see who can make the best whatever items, home made ice cream using ice, salt, and the ice cream ingredients, more bugs, multi-colored candles where you can choose what colors you want, more healthy/green food options, let grass and solar roofs be considered using green energy, Sims who are more opinionated about going green or going industrial, a community garden, the ability to repair things and get eco parts instead of other upgrades- if the item(s) is green, food ingredients like Cottage Living, but different ones- like olive oil that you can even make yourself- more off-the-grid lights (I usually have to grab such lights from another pack), pots to grow larger trees indoors, a food delivery service which gives a new meaning to "Grub Hub", more insects which are easier to care for- honestly, do you have to hold little crickets to make them feel good...? Makeshift computer that is green, the ability to gain more NAP points without being so social that everyone in town comes knocking at your door or giving you phone calls, and please, fix the doors which everyone and anyone can just barge through to read your books, use your shower/toilet, waste your hard-earned electricity so they can watch TV or be on your computer, etc.

This thread is a great example of why I'm not investing in the sims 5. I've spent more money and gotten less content from the sims 3 to the sims 4 and that's a shame. I'm not getting got again with the sims 5 unless EA really gets it together. Between Island living up until I would say Cottage Living these packs have not been as full as they should be.

Hopefully CL and werewolves are an indication that things are finally getting better. We shouldn't have to make thread after thread about refreshes and things missing from s3 to s4. Do better EA but I still love you.

Is it wrong to say I totally agree? Lately, all all I've really seen are kits- and none of them interest me. Hopefully werewolves is a sign, once it's cleared of bugs.

I agree with everything Jal put under seasons. Truly seasons should have been basegame. I don't say that often bc I don't mind paying for stuff for this game. But as an expansion pack it should have these things. I love the idea of setting different holidays for different worlds as well.

@Mak27 Thank you! And no, pre-teens never really interested me as we have so many ages for younger ages. I mean we have five life stages to represent the first 30 or so years of life, but only two for the remaining 60, and with elders seeming so very old in game that can only cover the last 10-15 years at the most. That means a sim looks like 35 and can keep having babies until they're about 69 years old, then boom they're old. For me, it makes sense with an in-between where they can no longer have kids, where their metabolism slows down, where their hair thins and goes a bit gray, and where they have their mid-life crisis and takes the time to finish up their aspirations.

On the other hand, I do want teens to act younger - they are far too adult in game, so I do get where the wish for pre-teens comes from. Kids go from being kids to being near adults in one go, but I believe that the best way to approach that would be to make teens behave more like teens and less like young adults rather than introducing a whole new life stage. More aspirations that are only available to teens, more activities for them to do, different needs (social need would be decaying much faster for instance), more phases and wilder phases, things like sneaking out, hanging out with friends... Then again, I wouldn't object to pre-teens per say, it's more that I doubt EA would introduce two new life stages and in that choice, mid-adults seem much more useful to me.

@MichelleW I agree that seasons should be basegame, as long as you can turn off weather and random holidays for those who do not want either.
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!

@SERVERFRA I doubt they'd be able to merge worlds together like that without breaking the games entirely, as they said they couldn't even add swimmable waters without breaking people's saves (unfortunately). Also, Tartosa is based on a Mediterranean nature, while Sulani is Peloponnesian so they're very far apart when it comes to nature and climate. Then again, this is a wishlist, and everyone is entitled to their wishes :)
