Messed up Werewolf appearance? Help

Does anyone know how to fix this issue where werewolves have a messed up face? One day the sim was fine and then the next his ears, eye, and nose are messed up. Anyone know?

If you use mods or CC, that would be where I would check for first.

Thank you for the answer! But I use no CC whatsoever in my game so I doubt that is the cause.

I don't have the pack but I've been reading all of the threads and someone had a similar issue but I can't really remember if it was solved or not, or if an idea of why it happened was determined.

I know that there's been some issue of people modifying their werewolf after creating it and didn't unlink the werewolf form from it's human form before modifying.

Hmmm I am pretty sure I always unlinked the two forms because I didn't want one to affect the other. I will also add I my sim was turned into a werewolf as a teenager and everything was fine for days. Then I noticed after they aged up to a YA suddenly the werewolf appearance was messed up.

I've had that happen before... I think it might be because the forms are re-linked any time you re-enter CAS. Maybe you made a change without realizing that they had been linked up, again? Or it's a legitimate glitch. :D

Have you tried different levels of detail for Sims? Look in the graphics options. I had a similar issue with a toddler's eyes (pre-Werewolves) and turned out using the Low graphics setting for Sims was the culprit.

I seemed to fix it by using cheats. I used the cheat to remove the werewolf trait and then readded it to my sim and his appearance was fixed.. not sure how or why it broke before but removing being a werewolf and then giving it back seems to solve the problem.

I had a problem where my werewolf's human face was changed after using CAS.

I just went into CAS, went into his werewolf form, and added some colors and markings, no changes to his bone structure. I thought I had unlinked their appearances, but I'm not sure I did. When I returned to his human face, his whole face structure was different. I was quite annoyed and just exited without saving.

I think you have to unlink your werewolf form and human form as soon as you enter CAS, or else it will mess up their faces. And like another simmer said, it relinks their faces whenever you enter CAS again.

I had this issue with one of the werewolves on the Maxis gallery named Marcel. He was fine for days and I didn't take any of the household into cas but noticed yesterday that his ears looked weird, like he had two sets of wolf ears instead of one. Tonight I noticed that his left eye seemed to be missing (which looked kind of cool for a werewolf) but then I saw part of the eye sticking out of the side of his head. I just deleted him from the household and redownloaded him and he's fine for now but we'll see.

Edit: I was just over on Answers HQ and this bug seems to be related to aging up. I did age that werewolf up to an adult from a young adult. Here's the link to AHQ: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/W-Werewolf-eyes-glitching-out-on-aging-up/m-p/11575688#M218269

Someone needs to show this picture on the link below and mention the said bug and what's happening so they'll be aware.

I personally had the same issue and have been trying to fix it for a while, for me I fixed it by...
    1. Enter CAS
    2. Unlink werewolf form
    3. In werewolf form click on the eyes to bring up the default eye options
    4. Select any of the options
    5. Issue should be resolved and you can then modify the shape however you like

    Hope this helps!

There is also a problem with werewolves genetics (no mods or cc used). First I didn’t notice as the first kid had hidden wolf trait. I get this bug if the kid is werewolf from birth. It starts from toddlerhood when child has no pic while saving to library/ gallery and when clicking on it game says item is corrupted. This is incorrect as I could play this sims just fine. I thought it may be problem with the wolf form which they only get from teenage life stage and up and I was right. Texture was messed up on the werewolf, he had missing parts of it leaving half of his face black. Changing fur resolves the visual problem but still couldn’t get him to have pic in the gallery. I needed to save him and download form the gallery and then finally he was fixed. Something is not right with their werewolves forms.

@Olalla1986 I have this same CAS error with my werewolf toddler born in game. Can't save him to My Library even though everything else is working fine. Thanks for posting your experience and possible ways to fix related glitches.

I had the same problem. I tried to save a toddler to the gallery but got an error message. I didn't realise that the werewolf genetics of the toddler were the cause. I'll go see if there is a bug report on the issue.

Yes, if you experience this the only way I found is to get them into CAS using Cas.fulleditmode cheat and aging up the toddler to at least teen, fixing werewolf form (changing fur is enough for glitch to disappear visually) and save to library without clicking on the child’s pic. Then download the family again and delete the original child. After that you can age down the kid. If there was max out relationship with parents it will be reduced to just friends, because game thinks this is literally different sim, but it will fix the glitch and you can save him normally to the gallery. Just aging up and fixing wolf form doesn’t fix it.

There is a bug report about werewolves messed up appearance with black spaces on the fur or misshapen features. I think this is connected to aging up in general as I saw people having problems with young adults aging to adults as well.

try this glitch on for size... my werewolf has no tail, no ears and it looks like her some of her neck is cut out , she looks like a deformed fury sim

Reminds of the deformed beast form that comes from making hybrids in two ways:
    • Having a sim with dormant werewolf trait become another occult and then swim in the lake in Moonwood Mill at full moon.
    • Have your sim be bitten by a werewolf or get Werebies and then have your sim become another occult during the time it takes for them to become a werewolf.
If that's not the case, I'd suggest repairing the game through EA App/Origin/Steam/Epic Games. Hopefully it can resolve this...
