can sims get pregnant from woohoo?

Just wondering as I discovered one of my sims has a new baby and whilst they woohooed I really dont remember them trying for a baby!

Did you switch families at any point? If Neighbourhood Stories is active and you've not opted played sims out of it they could have a baby that way. Or if you're using MCCC and haven't adjusted the settings for that sims can get pregnant/adopt children on their own.

Normally, no. Via mods or neighborhood stories, yes.

no mods and the sims dont live together. They did wooohoo once before I stopped playing and when I checked back they have a baby. Its why Im confused as neighbourhood stories wouldnt give them a baby as they arent in the same household....so did I forget or is there a small possibility of woohoo causing babies??

I've had Neighborhood Stories make one of my sims pregnant before to her boyfriend even though they were not living in the same house.

Maybe thats it then....

although I am still curious if you can get accidently pregnant with woohoo!

In my game they can, but then I have risky woohoo through MCC. :-) Otherwise no, though I have had sims who have tried for a baby without me telling them to on occasion.

Seriously though, some of my best and most interesting stories have come from unexpected pregnancies. Just a few:

* The couple who had to figure out how to remodel their house because of an additional child they had not expected.
* The very young adult who got pregnant with her first romantic interest and was heartbroken when he married someone else (during her pregnancy). Their entire messed up story was quite interesting and involved her being the other woman, him leaving his first wife and balancing his twins with that wife and his later cheating and her finally having enough and kicking him out (only for the kids to have to deal with their remaining number of siblings. I think he ended up with 11 children before he kicked the bucket, by 4 different women.)
* The serial romantic who ended up with one of his several girlfriends going into labour on his doorstep - that was when he actually learned of the pregnancy. Playing him as a dead beat every other weekend father was quite fun.

Did you do the interaction to ask about expanding the family? Cause that will automatically make a sim pregnant, woohoo not necessary. I tried it out on my sims a month ago and my sim said she will ask her boyfriend about it, and the next time I saw her she was pregnant

I found my sim self's sister the other day wandering around Newcrest sporting a 2nd trimester baby bump. She has been set as unplayed in the unplayed households for weeks and has never consulted anyone about having a second baby and Neighbourhood Stories is currently switched off for all worlds.
