Sims you just cant play.

«13
Anybody have any in game sims that they just cant bring themselves to play?
Personally I cant get interested in the Munch family and I dont think Ive ever played that single lady in Henford-on-Bagley (cant even remember her name!LOL). Also the Harris family in Evergreen Harbor dont get even so much as a makeover when Im bored.
I also never used to play the Calientes because I could never makeover Nina and not have her look like a man in drag....then I had the idea of changing her to a man, but with a feminine frame and voila! Suddenly she looks fantastic as a trans woman so clearly that was the missing ingredient!

    All of the premades.

The only time I've played a premade family was for a Sims 3 legagy challenge. I married off Agnes Crumplebottom and Don Lothario and got them through 3 generations.

That would be most of EA's sims.
It's probably that I would rather play my own creations.

However, the only sims I have played are The Goths.
I have made Sofia Bjergsen, Candy and Yuki Behr, and Cassandra Goth part of my sims in rotation.
But I'm not really interested in the pre-mades and most of them will probably be replaced by my CAS sims and made over dormies that my CAS sims have met in Uni.

I've never been able to muster up any reason or wish to play any of the pre-mades, even before I had seen them a thousand times and was tired of seeing them in every save. Some of my older saves do still have quite a few of them, and so do some of my test saves, and sometimes they have relationships of one sort or another with my sims. But I just really don't see the appeal in most of the Maxis pre-mades, especially not enough to play them myself. I actually did make both Caliente sisters into trans men once, but I no longer have that save. Both of them turned out rather handsome, I must say. :)
FYI: Just because you can see my signature, don't assume that I can see yours.
Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off. ;)

Most of the premades don't interest me enough to play them. The only exception is if sims created by me ask premades to move in.

I live in belief that if i scheme enough
every household can be fun to play
    even Bjergsens

i think ive finally found story for them
though its kinda too late cause i killed them already... oh well.
I just have to find way to resurrect them now don't I...

it does take me longer to be inspired by the entrepreneurial sims and happy families
and few of the stories they've been spawning in multitudes
even worse if they live in modern houses that are very uninspiring as well...

but yes eventually i shall find them a purpose in my schemes

well aside from randomized townies because i suppose they are in game sims
and i will slaughter them mercilessly after every play session because they don't belong there

I don't really play the premades either. I enjoy making new sims. I can't build to save my life but I do enjoy making sims, so I'd rather play my own.

All the premades. I even deleted them all once long ago from one of my saves, but I learned they're still better than randomly spawned townies, so I just let them be now ..... for the most part.

I liked playing with the premades, there are some sims that are strangely bad at taking care of their needs though that I have trouble playing.

I struggled to play with the Delgato and Laurent family, it seems that they like to do other stuff than taking care of their needs, they are also both living in large houses that they can't afford to live in.

I hardly ever play premades unless my sims end up marrying them, and when that happens it's pure chance. I have very rare phases where i might play a designated family but the last time was months ago anyway. I'd much rather create my own story.

I used to play everyone I don't really touch the partyhaus family even more makeovers anymore not sure why, some I don't play because I have a story in my head that makes them less engaging than who I have chosen.
Reddestiny921 on the gallery...still not sure if I capitalized the second d..lol
    All the sims err'day

Most of the premades. They don't really have any history - if I play with any it tends to be ones from previous versions like the Goths or Calientes who actually do have a previous history/story/lore.

For some reason I enjoy playing the Bjergsen family though.

I don't have time to play all the premades! My San Myshuno sims are plenty :)

I've played most of the premade households. Any sim I know I'll have no interest in gets promptly deleted with their house occupied by one of my own sims.

There are a few premades I play with way less than others, which would be the Roomies (minus Zoe Patel), the Bros (?? - the house with Joaquin and Sergio), Goths, Rasoja (?? - Raj and Geeta from City living). The Munch fam used to be part of this list until I had Gunther get married to Maaike from the Free Spirits household. Now I have an ongoing story for them.

I feel like I'm forgetting a premade house or two but that just goes to show how forgettable they are for me.

The Charm family because they have no right to exist. They're the Ottomas family of TS4 for being werid looking and ugly.

The Roomies family because I saw the name and thought Chris and Melissa were back. That was disapointing.

TS4!Calliente and Pleasant families. Junked and replaced with better versions.

The Bro household and that household made up of the party club.

I love most of the premades, but Feng family bores me, especially Victor Feng. It's difficult to play Victor's character when I don't even know what to do with him, he just doesn't feel interesting in any ways.
It's probably because he's a politician and I usually find them boring in general. Maybe I'll play with Fengs some day and change my mind. If I do it I think I have to make them completely horrible Sims to enjoy the gameplay with them.

... Hm. I rarely dislike Sims enough to single them out. I like some premades, dislike some others. Most I am neutral to. If I were going to play any, which would be rather rare, they would all need a once over in CAS. Thusly, that doesn't really set them apart either.

If I had to crucify any in 4, it would probably be Baby Ariel. She gets wiped before every game even begins. I don't like real people trying to worm their way into my world of fiction.

I gave them a daughter who wants to be an eco inventor and it's made them more interesting.

I never play premades UNLESS I want to ruin their lives. For example; in one save I made Mort and Bella Goth cheat on each other so many times that both of their relationship bars were filled with red. They wound up getting a divorce lol

I have to say that neighbourhood stories has made me play them alot more then I used to though. I find that Im suddenly interested in why they decided to have 3 kids or adopt 'that' dog!LOL

I play them all, however my time with Vlad was an experience I'm not overly fond of repeating.

None of the premade families as such, though on occasion a member of one will play a supporting role to one of my own sims. In terms of solo sims, Lana McKinnon, after tinkering, has been getting a fair bit of stage time lately in a variety of roles.

I’ve never really played any of the premades. I much prefer creating my own families entirely from scratch.
I don’t hate any of them, though. Saying that a family has no right to exist because they’re “ugly” - which is subjective - seems rather harsh to me.

I will never understand why people are always marrying Johnny Zest off to their sims. He gives off a mega creepy vibe IMO; if he were a real person, I would be very upset if he lived in my neighborhood.
