Now on to our highlights!

Since we've all been blessed this week with the Barbie Movie trailer, let's kick our highlights off with this very important question what if Barbie lived in Simworld? asked by @CorkysPetals, and I am now absolutely hyped at the idea of my Gallery being spammed with hot pink beach mansions and Margot Robbie/Ryan Gosling look-alikes. So, if Barbie did live in Simworld, what would that look like for you? Would you re-create the classic vintage style Barbies in CAS, or would you go for a more modern look? Would you re-build Barbie's infamous Malibu Dreamhouse? Let us know what your personal Barbie World would look like! 👠💄

And for this week's build I've picked this impressive modern farmhouse, Apple Blossom created by @masajo. The interior color choices here are beautiful - that deep green paired with peach is pure perfection 💚 Big bonus points as well for using my favorite wallpaper (The Tiger Stalks Tonight from Décor to the Max) and designing around it so well! If you're as obsessed with modern builds as I am, you'll want to check this out!

While we're on the subject of building, @NRowe wants to know what your single favorite Gallery build is - I know there are an endless amount of options out there, and the Gallery is just filled with incredible talent, but my personal favorite would have to be this Modern Family Dream House, which I've downloaded into my game at least 20 times 😅 But which one is your favorite? Do you have a particular house you've downloaded over and over, or a community lot you can't get enough of? Tell us which one, and why!

Up next, @LizMarie1085 is looking for a bit of advice on what to include with their Build-a-Bundle and wants to know what you would pick! The options we have for the game pack are either Spa Day or Realm of Magic, and the stuff pack options are Laundry Day or Nifty Knitting. Personally, I'd have to vote Spa Day for the build/buy items, and Nifty Knitting simply for the metal radio station 🙃🤘 Which is your favorite of these options and why? Make sure you share with us which ones you'd select!

To finish us up this week, @itsTheSimsGuy has found himself in a rather... interesting predicament. They're working through a storyline that requires Michael Bell (aka the Creature Keeper of Cottage Living) to be cremated 🥴 However, it appears our favorite Creature Keeper is immune to all fire, and just will not die. For science, other means of disposal have been tested and do work, and poor Creature Keeper is now rather traumatized from the whole experience (can you really blame him though??) So... if you need a good laugh, or if you have any other suggestions to put the unfortunate Creature Keeper out of his misery, please share with us 🔥🔥🔥

I'm playing a normal on Sims 4, then out of nowhere, the teapot catches on fire, and I can't get to the corner piece blocked by the kitchen countertops, I cannot go into build mode to move stuff to put out the fire. It keeps burning. Alarms go off, the fire department comes, and I let them in, but they can't put out the fire either, everything just keeps burning. As you do, my sim's partner goes off to work during the fire. Helpless, and all I and the firefighters can do is watch it burn. Minutes later, it decides to vanish, with no evidence, no damage whatsoever. What, the heck did I just witness?

So here we are on another Friday, reviewing the finest of the week. As usual, we want to provide you a ton of brilliant ideas that you can work on this weekend. After you do, just remember to share them with us, so we can maybe include them in our upcoming highlight 💥. So, without any more delay, let's get down to business...

Firstly, check out this amazing dance that @Ellupelluellu got on camera. What an incredible and beautiful scene ⛺. It makes me want to sit outside around a bonfire under the stars. Maybe we can sing while roasting marshmallows by the fire 🔥 🍡.

So, let's get started....

@NRowe is asking us possibles ideas for a challenge for a restarter 🎇. Have you recently working on any? Do you have any suggestions? 🤔 If, on the other hand, you're wondering the same, go there to learn about all the challenges that some of the simmers are currently involved in. There are so many wonderful ideas!💥

Next on our list is Little Llama Ranch, a beautiful construction share by @luckyheather. Here we have room for our llamas and chickens 🐥, as well as extra space for growing our own fruits and vegetables 🍅. Inside, it's been beautifully decorated with a homey style where you can almost smell the freshly baked bread 🍞 that just came out of the oven. If you haven't been, take a tour; you won't be disappointed.

Then, we have this touching story 🥰. Where @Amapola76 is coming to tell us all about this two grandparents 👵👴, Pops and Gigi, and their numerous adventures and misadventures living their best retirement lives 💚. It's a journey about love, family and ... shhh… 🤫 I think I won't say much more, so you can go read everything about it. How about you? Do you have a new favourite Sims story? Will you share it?

Finally, @Sablesasha makes a suggestion and asks us to show our roommates. Anybody who has ever lived with someone else understands how fast a best friend can transform into the most annoying buddy 😆, whether it's because they forgot to clean the bathroom 🚽, left the door open, or for who knows what reason. In this occasion, @Sablesasha shares her sims experience with Dylan Jeffries, a quirky roommate with a peculiar behaviour 🍎. Do you have any funny stories about your roommates? Now that I'm done thawing out from the Great Austin Freeze of 2023 and triumphantly changing the fundamental nature of how these forums work forever leaving everything exactly the way it is; it's time for the Friday Highlights!

It's The Sims 23rd Birthday and @simgirl1010 beat me to it again, but at least I didn't have electricity this time so I had an excuse! How long have you been playing The Sims? Which is your fav in the franchise?

The weekend is quickly approaching, and the month has flown by, so there is no better time to welcome the friday highlights. 🥳

So, as I was comment last time the spring has only just begun, but I can already feel this week the transition to this new season 🌼. The days are getting longer and warmer, which gives me hope that the holidays are nearly here 😁. I know! I know! It's still early, but I'm already looking forward to a seaside holiday. 😎

Not there yet, but for the moment, one of my favourite activities (after playing The Sims of course!) is spending my time in the nature 🌳, and even more now after seeing @Elisdream's photo of the week, which immortalizes such a beautiful and perfect moment. 🐦

Are you prepared? Let's get started:

⭐ We'll kick things off with a pretty intriguing question from @fazeman, who brings back some great memories by asking if you include popular from The Sims 3 families in your towns? In my case, I haven't done it yet, but this gives me an excellent idea for the weekend, I wonder if I can recreate the Goths family's home as well 🤔🖤. In your case, do you have any in mind?

The next one comes from @lizzielilyy, who wants to share her very exciting Sims 3 challenge. In it, she plans to create a 12-generation family based on the zodiac signs ♋, which sounds fascinating. I'm not sure if I can handle a family with so many different personalities 😝. She has, however, already started. Check Astrology challenge - Sims 3 legacy! If you want to know more about this adventure.

Now for this week's pool, we have @LeGardePourpre is asking who will you invite for a week to stay over your house?. There are numerous options, but I would go with Father Winter 🎅. I always feel that when he is around, everyone is so cheerful and happy 🎄. I imagine that during that week, I will make a delicious dinner each day, and then he'll tell us all about his incredible stories. And who are you going to invite?

Returning to my initial thoughts in these highlights, I genuinely think we are rapidly approaching the holiday season. So nothing beats planning where to spend the nice weather with the best company. So this week, @ashcrash19 brings us this Tropical Oasis Rental🌴. With its bright colours and Hawaiian decor 🌺, you'll quickly forget about your worries and stress. There are also items for babies, toddlers, and children, among other things! So bring everybody and check in right now!

Finally, a question that has been on my mind for the past few days. @purplexbutterfly asks us about How many children do your sims have? In my case, I must say that everything is dependent on the purpose I set at the start of my game. I don't have any when I want to create a fortune and build an enormous mansion 💰. However, if I want to have a large family with many generations and connections, I can have up to seven children in my home at the same time 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧👨‍👨‍👦‍👦. But now, with the most recent update, I believe I'll limit myself to two or three of them. And you, How many children do you have?

It's @EA_Abril here! 🤗 I've recently joined The Sims Team to help out with the weekly highlights.🥳 I must say that it has been fascinating to see all of your fantastic stories and creations. This week we've been gathering some of these incredible moments with the help of @EA_Solaire to bring them here. So, without further ado, here are the highlights of this week:

Are you all ready???

After St. Paddy's Day last week... We've finally arrived in Spring 🌸, one of my favourite seasons! To celebrate, there is nothing better than dressing up in our brightest and most colourful outfits and throw a family party to show off our best dance moves 💃. Thank you, @permanentrose, for capturing the moment. 😉

So here we go...

We've all heard before that one year in a dog's life equals seven human years, but what about a Sim's lifespan? Does one in-game week equal a month in real life? How long is a year for a Sim? 🤔 @NRowe is asking this very important question, and wants to know how you calculate time for your Sim's lifespan! Do you have a certain calculation you've worked out, or would you rather play with immortal Sims? Let us know!

Up next, @fazemanpress is looking for a bit of advice on the best place to move their legacy family. They've spent most of their lives in Willow Creek, but are looking for a new place to settle down, preferably with a warmer climate, a big house for when the relatives comes to visit for the holidays, and maybe even a nice beach! 🌞 Sulani is sounding like the perfect choice to me, but what do you think? Be sure to share your suggestions!

OK, this one is a difficult question brought by @liizzys1302, who wants to know which one is your must-have item in The Sims 3 Store?. In my case, I agree with some of you and I will choose the SwiftGro Gardening Station; there's nothing like having your own space to develop your gardening skills and possibly even become an Agricultural Mastermind 👩‍🌾... and it is on sale right now 💸. So, which one would be for you?

Next on our agenda, while one of my favourite activities is NOT doing laundry 🙈, especially during the weekend 😫. However, this week @mrsr99tso brought us this exquisite creation, the Aquamarine Laundry Room 🧼 where I would happily spend all my afternoons now. If you haven't already seen it, do so and let us know what you think.

Last but not least, one of my favourite topics, @MVWdeZT is asking us what are our LOL moments of Growing Together. In my case, I have a ton, so I made a whole folder with all The Sims moments that made me laugh. The most recent one that comes to my mind is when one of my infants was eating, super cute 👶 but also how funny it was to see food all over his face and clothes 🥣 What a mess! 😄. How about you? On Tuesday, we had the biggest update in The Sims 4 history - this included an entire new life stage (infants!!), CAS skin details, new interactions, and more! Yesterday the newest expansion pack, Growing Together, finally launched! Join our official screenshot thread here and show off your adorable families 🥰 And for my fellow builders out there - be sure to check out this interview with community creator Dzidziak86, who designed 3 of the lots for this pack, including the Michaelson's family home!

On to the highlights!

Now that baby fever has absolutely consumed us all, @simgirl1010 wants to know about all the fun gameplay discoveries you've all been uncovering with the infants update 👶💗 There are so many new interactions and gameplay options- food likes and dislikes, pet interactions, cloth diapers with Laundry Day, and my personal favorite, *spoiler alert* this very fun fact about Strangerville revealed by @Simmingal. Have you found any new exciting gameplay interactions with infants? Let us know what you've spotted!

For this week's build, I've picked this lovely Growing Together inspired Family Rec Room by the talented @luckyheather. I'm loving the teal color theme with pink highlights, the various cherry blossom tree décor, and the adorable little sheep stools 🐏💙 Tell us what you think of this gorgeous room!

I'm feeling a bit nostalgic this week, so let's throw it way back with a very fun Sims 2 rotational gameplay story thread by @M13Vulpecula. The current round is focused on University, and this week's story is all about Mercutio Monty. Mercutio is a party-loving Political Science major in his junior year with some hefty skill requirements to pull off in order to pass his final exams. So will he decide to change his ways and hit the books to pass the semester? Or will he party hard and prioritize his social life instead? 📚🍺 Find out in this week's chapter!

We've already discussed the new features with the infants update, but what about all the new discoveries with Growing Together? Don't worry, @catloverplayer has you covered here! Did you know about the sharks and crocodiles living in San Sequoia? Or how about the tropical fish swatch for the new piano? 🐊🦈 What other interesting new things are you seeing in Growing Together? And to close us out this week - It's almost spring, love is in the air, and @Atreya33 is looking to get their Sim's engaged! But we need to pick the perfect spot to pop the question. Callisto and Kiyoshi are high school sweethearts who stayed together through university and are now ready to start the next chapter of their lives with the release of the infants update. They've shared special memories on Mt. Komorebi and explored the jungles of Selvadorada together. So where do you think is the best spot for Callisto to propose? My vote is the cave shrine in the Senbamachi neighborhood 🥰💖 Be sure to share your favorite scenic spots with us!

(bearing in mind I was 11/12 when I got this one) I loved The Sims 2 Nightlife just because of the amount of stuff that one added. Me and my school friend both had it and we would often go round to each others houses just to play Sims. We used to love playing as a vampire and would always try and find one to bite our sims. Cars were also introduced and I loved the dance tiles and sphere thing that would spin when your sim was inside? Ah it was so good.

I also loved The Sims 3 Island Paradise because it was so different and the world was beautiful. I'm also a huge fan of snorkelling in real life and so I thought it was amazing when this was added to the game.

Happy happy Friday! We are now one week out from the Infants update and Growing Together release! Are you getting excited? I can't wait, I've already got a build ready to go 😊 How are you prepping in-game for next week, have you got a new family already created, a fresh storyline or challenge written up, or a new home ready to be furnished? I want to hear everything!

So who's ready for this week's highlights?

Do you have a scenario you can't wait to try out with Growing Together's new family dynamics? @CK213 wants to know! The family dynamics system in Growing Together may seem at first glance to be the perfect way to make your loving, wholesome (read: boring) family, and everyone is caught up in the cute fuzzy feelings right now, but we all know we're ultimately here for the D-R-A-M-A this pack is going to bring!

When I think of Cottage Living, a modern build isn't typically the first style that comes to mind, but @ThaPhoenix1 has absolutely nailed it with their build Modern Henford Cottage. Now I may be a bit biased since modern is my go-to favorite style for builds, but I am blown away at the detail here - the debug and décor items used to create built in shelving and seating (all functional by the way!), the custom artwork, and everything about that kitchen 😍 You'll definitely want to have a look at this one!

Up next, we have a very important "science" experiment that requires some feedback - @Simmingal thinks everyone's favorite vampire Vlad needs more babies, and I could not agree more, those handsome genes need to be passed down! But the question here is, who should we pair him with? Who would you recommend and why? Let us know! But I think most of us would agree with @IObelle that the obvious answer is Greg... No matter what the decision ends up being, I need to know the end results of this experiment!

And for our Sims 3 players this week - @Alleenmens has created this fantastic Hunger Games inspired reality show game-play challenge, and it sounds like a blast! 12 players will join in and assign their Sims to a preferred district. Each day, you'll choose a container with an item (or a container with nothing😈) and a location to hide out in. You'll need to forage for food and water, survive natural disasters and attacks from other players. Alliances between players are welcome, but remember, in the end there can only be one Sim standing! Happy March and Women's History Month! How was your week? Hopefully not too busy or stressful, but it's finally Friday and time to relax. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Now, shall we get on to the highlights?

To start us off this week, @DeadFishy wants to know which EPs got you so hyped you impatiently looked forward to release date? Now there is nothing in this world I love more than my cats, and Halloween (except maybe breakfast tacos) so my excitement for Cats & Dogs, Seasons, and Paranormal was extreme, and the wait was excruciating 🐱👻🖤 I am starting to get a serious case of baby fever for Growing Together though, and definitely counting down the days! So were there any packs that you got so excited about, the wait to release was just unbearable? Which ones were you most anxious and excited about? Let us know!

And next, @Eleri needs some help deciding on which Sim to use to complete their Aspiration Legacy Challenge- the current aspiration is the very extensive Extreme Sports Enthusiast, so we'll need to be sure we're picking the best Sim for the job here. My vote is going to be for adorable little Tai- since this particular aspiration does take so long to complete, I think a young Sim is the perfect fit, and his adventurous trait would bode well for this challenge. Also, I just think his lemon and lime print shirt is super cute 🍋💗 Who do you think is the best choice for this challenge? We need to know!

Not every build has to be polished and beautiful, and this week's feature, Grift 'N' Grill by @Divapixie is the perfect example of why! While this lot looks a bit shady and probably a little smelly, the creativity, uniqueness, and attention to detail here is outstanding. I love out-of-the-box builds like this, and I can't wait to put this one in my game 🥰 Take a look and see why I love it!

Sunset Valley may be the most prominent and popular world in The Sims 3 with plenty of households to choose from, but let's discuss one household in particular - the Roomies household. @Simexpert123 wants to know Who is your favorite member of the Roomies household and why? It's a pretty tough decision, but personally I'd have to go for Cycl0n3 Sw0rd because honestly, how could you not love a Sim with a name like that? So who is your favorite, is there one in particular you find yourself interacting with the most? Tell us who and why!

And to finish us up - if you didn't find this week's featured screenshot entertaining enough, this discussion, Clipping, and Other Such Oddities by @GalacticGal may be more your speed. I'm not entirely sure what's happening here, but I love it and I
absolutely need more 😂 And now I need to go make a chiropractic appointment because that second screenshot is making my back hurt just looking at it...

Alright, let's jump into this week's highlights!

Let's kick this week off with a revival of a very fun discussion entitled Dear Little Sims... by @Catzilla. The original discussions had me cracking up, so I'm thrilled to see this one making a comeback. What do your Sims insist on doing that drives you nuts? Dear Little Sim... please stop sneaking into my garden to kick over my dumpster and throw trash all over my yard 😤😤😤

Up next - I love reality TV almost as much as I love The Sims (any other 90 Day Fiancé fans out there?) and this super fun gameplay challenge The Survival Experiment by @artistju is the perfect mix of both! The goal is to lock 8 Sims on a cursed lot and have them attempt to build a compound using funds earned only through a computer or Plopsy. What could possibly go wrong? 😆 This week we got our first episode and introduction to the cast - my money is definitely on Natasha surviving the longest. So, who are you betting on?

This week, I've picked this dreamy Wedding Barn Venue created by @zucchinionpizza for our featured build - My own wedding is about 6 weeks away and I haven't even started picking out decorations yet (I'm not stressed, it's totally fine 🙃😭) but this build is seriously giving me some great IRL inspiration 💖 I would absolutely get married here. Make sure you check this build out for yourselves!

And for our Sims 3 players this week- have you ever been wandering around Lucky Palms and thought to yourself huh I know this Sim... but from where? 🤔 Well wonder no more, because @DivinylsFan has figured it out in this discussion "Lucky Palms Lookalikes" The theory here is that each family is based on real-life celebrities - Roy Phillips is Barry Manilow, Lina Lancaster might be Beverly D'Angelo and Eli Vokoban is potentially Chevy Chase! Gennie Gomez, Beulah Patterson and Evangeline Finch are definitely the Golden Girls- but who is who? I get some serious Rose vibes from Beulah honestly. What do you guys think? What other celebrities do you suppose are hiding around town? Please, share your theories with us!

We'll finish this week off helping @EnkiSchmidt with a tough decision. Let's break down the situation - Gavin and a couple other Sims have found themselves detained for espionage in a max security desert prison. Gavin's very determined husband, Daniel, has discovered Gavin's location, and now it's up to us to decide the next move. Should Daniel try a successful prison break, an unsuccessful prison break, or just show up for visiting hour? My vote is successful, but the crew gets lost in the desert and must survive in the wilds 🌵 How do you think this scenario should play out? Let us know!
