Sims 3 and things

I thought, since we no longer have a Sims 3 section I'd start a thread on Sims 3. If there is another one, already here I suspect I'll find it eventually.

In the meantime, I wanted to say I'm still making my videos. I have four different stories going at the moment.

I've been posting the links and other updates in the Stories and Legacies section of Creative Corner if anyone is interested in having a look.

This challenge was Special to build a Christmas House with Christmas lights well was supposed to but I went off track a bit and done it my way with lights and my very first to get a Maxis Fav on my own without beginning nominated and to top it off it got featured on the

My street is usually very quiet but when its Christmas time it gets a bit crazy and so many of our neighbours like to decorate Christmas lights on their house to enter the competition so this is my interpretation on decorating with lights I think I went a bit crazy as well

Sims 4 Stairs Tutorial

As the heading states this is a tutorial on how to use the new stair options that came with a recent patch.

You will need to know the amount of steps per wall height as now the stairs will only break at multiples of 4, 8 and 12 steps. This will be important to know when trying to get even sections as it will only be possible depending on wall height.

You can see in the pic below that the small wall is 12 steps; the medium wall is 16 steps and the tall wall is 20 steps.

When you place stairs now you will see a new button (circled in red below) that allows you to break the stairs into sections and you can pull on it to make a basic "L" shape or "U" shape.

This will now give you three buttons which, for this tutorial I will call "Break" button (circled in red); "Slider" (circled in blue) and ""Swivel" button (circled in black) in the pic below.

The "Break" button is what lets you divide the stairs into different sections.
The "Slider" allows you to change the number of steps in the section it is attached to or remove the break altogether.
The Swivel allows you to change the direction of the stair section it is attached to.

By manipulating those three buttons in various ways you can create a number of different stair shapes. I recommend you practice pushing and pulling these around so you can get use to them and see how they work. Below is a pic of some of the different shapes. Some of these configurations can be stacked over multiple floors but others will only be suitable for use as one set to take you from the ground to first floor.

Something worth noting: If you want to make a "U" shaped staircase that has an even number of steps in both sections, you must use the medium wall height (8 steps per section) to achieve the desired look. (see below)

In the next post we will see how to make a couple of different stairwells.

I've not long begun playing with University in Sims 4. I think I'm enjoying it but it brings back memories/nightmares of loads of homework, assignments, getting to class on time, and making sure things didn't clash!

My biggest whinge is that when I moved my Sim into a new dorm, she joined the household already there and I simply don't want to play them. Or move them out really.

Apart from that, yeah, I think I like this package. Anyone else play?

Hey guys I was thinking back to when I first got the sims in 2000, I remember it came with a see through blue wireless mouse.

I can’t find mention of it ANYWHERE online. I regret throwing it out when I upgraded way back when. Did anyone else have one?? I feel like a crazy person imagining things lol

So day one of my, hopefully only, five day lockdown. It's just as well I bought Paranormal last night - I'll have that to occupy me in the next few days. Any others in lockdown with me? I was up at 5.30am this morning walking the dogs - had the park all to myself! Made a quick trip to the shops when they opened as we were low on milk & got home to find the power was off! Just what you need on a 36 degree day. Keep safe everyone!

So today I was going on about my normal day, planned my day for tomorrow. Have to go do the food shopping then buy a purple shirt for my daughter's mufty day since she has to wear house colours. There are no current active cases of covid 19 in the state.

I have been busy the last few weeks with a little sims project to keep me busy. This is my final result

I also made my own sims 4 game pack and stuff pack dvd covers to fill up my sims 4 part of my collection as they are all on Origin And my Living large was a cd cover so I made my own dvd cover, unfortuanatly I messed that one up a bit, but I am still happy

Apparently we are a nation of dragons who hoard toilet paper.

I got a small pack yesterday, just in case the strange phenomena occurred here. Glad I did, because the local stores were all out by this afternoon. Living regional, they might have more coming in later this week, or it might not be until next week... Who knows.

Also, did you hear about the fire?

A truck load of dunny roll, up in flames! Given how scarce the stuff is getting, it might have been $1million worth!

I've launched another comp but it is all about in-game candid shots from interpreting a scenario, could be as simple as gardening or doing the laundry, sims arguing or anything like that. Medieval Makeover of Willow Creek

I started a makeover of Willow Creek because I love medieval/fantasy type games. This lot is for the Starter neighbourhood beginning at Bargain Bend and going clockwise around the street. @Jendowoz0612 has made the households to go with the builds but you will need to turn on the CC checkbox as she uses a default eye colour replacement. It will automatically go back to the EA default when you download them so don't worry about not having the CC.

Apple Cider Farm

An apple orchard for the Carpenter family. This has 2 bedrooms and an internal bathroom. The shed out back has a bar for learning mixology.

Herbalist's Cottage

Designed for the Carmen household it has a single bed only as she is a rather lovelorn herbalist.

Honeypot Flower Farm

A small cottage with 1 double bed designed for beekeeping and flower arranging skills. The Guinn household was made for this.

The Stables

A one room cottage but large enough for a double and a toddler bed which can be easily changed to a single if necessary. Jen has made the Abidan household for this build.

Crestwood Farm

This farm is in 3 sections with main living and parents sleeping quarters in the main build. The children's sleeping quarters in the second part and ablutions/shed in the last part. The Belmont family live here with their twins and two dogs.

I shall be adding to this thread as I continue to build the rest of the community. Next I will be filling in the Community Area which will become the Docks. Haven't decided fully what will be there but we will find at least a tavern (bar) and an inn (cafe).
