There seems to be a rift forming between the "haves" and "have-nots" as far as TS4 CAS Demo is concerned. But hopefully until we can all become "haves," this thread will let us work together to make some of the cooooooooooolest Sims in town!

I am working on making over ALL the lots. Starting with San Myshuno, Brindleton Bay and Willow Creek.

I need a family for my 1010 Alto Apartments and don't really feel like messing in CAS to make background characters.
Because the apartment is already furnished, I need a boy toddler, at least one parent and other grown Sims to fill one or even two more bedrooms. Originally there had been a plan for a butler to take the fourth and final room but that can be adjusted.

Here is the fourth room. This was originally intended for a butler (as mentioned) and due to the EA layout and then my adding laundry means the ONLY entrance to the laundry room is through this bedroom.

I heartily apologise that I take such bad screenshots! There aren't many packs involved because this build is sooo old. I own everything except Werewolves, the new Growing Together, Batuu and a few stuff packs.

I hope this is the right sub-forum for this question. Some of the titles are a little ambiguous, regarding content. If not, move it please.

So! I want to add a ghost sim to my household. But, I 'd rather kill anyone or download a premade from the gallery. Is there a way to launch CAS in a way that includes designing and adding a ghost to your household? Does FullEditMode allow this, or maybe a cheat code you have to use first?

In my opinion CAS is where The Sims 4 has made the biggest leap forward compared to the previous iterations. I have alot of fun making outfits and this is the place where I will post most of them from now on. Mainly because I always feel a bit awkward flooding threads with my CAS posts, when most people are interested in gameplay, but also because feedback has shown that there are a few forum members who appreciate a bit of inspiration. I use the pictures myself when I want to make a quick (townie!) makeover, so I think this is probably where this thread can come in useful for others.

Custom Content
We as a community know that we are blessed with some of the most creative and talented creators of custom content and mods in the world of video games. While I use a moderate amount of Maxis Match CC in my game, I will avoid CC in this thread for the most part with some exceptions:
- Poses: Unfortunately this is something CAS does not provide and the animations can become repetitive. Most of them are made by Helgatisha, Flower Chamber and Remaron. I do not make poses myself
- Skin replacement: I have one default skin replacement, which is Smootish II by Luumia. I do not use any other overlays etc

I will not be doing a lot of picture editing, as I would like to spend most of my time in CAS. The thread’s purpose is to help with outfits, perhaps an extension of the ‚Styled Looks‘ section in CAS, if you will. Also, I will be doing throwbacks to older packs and posts focussing on outfit categories.

I hope you'll find something you like!

Difficulty finding good content.... Sims in particular on the gallery, tips please!!

I haven't been using the gallery until recently. I'm looking for good sims to add to my houses and worlds. Heres the problem when I search for sims It seems like there either base game sims with no expansion packs or content add ons or sims that have a lot of expansions and or packs that I don't have. There's no in-between. I search according to packs that I have for one, also view content by all, but occasionally I might check by Maxis, I sort by newest, popular now and most popular. I try different ones and 85 percent of what I see is sims that are base game, the others seem to have every pack available. Only occasionally do I find a sim that uses several of the packs I have and are good sims IMO. I have Some good packs, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, Get together, Spa Day, Paranormal, parenthood, cottage living, kids' room, Hollywood decor, and about 5 more. So ultimately what I'm asking is for tips to find better sims. Like what do you do to find good sims that have the packs you own, or some of the packs you own? Is there a way I can change how the search works, like good terms to put into the search bar at top. Any tips for finding sims that are not base game and are also not filled up with almost every expansion would be appreciated......

No CC Decades Outfits

I'm not sure if there's a thread like this already, sorry if so! I'm not on the forums much anymore.
Anyway! As a big lover of the Decades Challenge, I've always wondered if it'd be possible to do the challenge with no CC whatsoever. I think it is, although I also think it'd be very difficult. I've decided to make a project out of trying to create outfits for the Decades without using any CC.

I've mostly focused on Teen/YA+ Feminine outfits because I just find them easier. Once I finish I might go back and do Masculine & Children outfits, as well as wedding looks.

Also, I welcome any other outfits or ideas anyone has and wants to share!

It has to be said, but I'm no expert on historical fashion. I try to do research but since I'm relying on just what we have without CC, these aren't going to be very accurate.

1890-1919

Yes, I know this encompasses like... three whole decades. However, lumping these together was the easiest for me lol. I think these decades are the absolute most difficult to accomplish without CC. They're not perfect, but I did my best! Also, I skipped a few outfit categories for this but later one I'll do an outfit for each.

Thankfully Get Famous blesses us with some lovely gowns that work pretty well for this period. Also, that classic Gibson Girl hairstyle! In one of these decades (I forget which, but maybe all three?) men's fashion began to influence women's a bit. I tried to represent that a little with the third outfit.

This second Formal outfit is a bit inappropriate for the time period for several reasons:
1. Too lowcut.
2. The open sides.
3. The transparency around the midriff.

However, I think the overall length and style kind of works for that Edwardian evening wear.

For sleep outfits, I just wanted a simple white nightshift or nightgown. The first one is actually the graduation gown from Discover University, but I think it's probably my favorite for a modest sleeping gown

I search on the web with various different search titles looking for content creators, sim designers, etc. Like for example who are the top 10 sim creators at sims 4. Nothing ever comes up, the only thing I ever see Is lists and videos about People who make Lots not households or sims either that or occasionally the search will give me results for CC creators, like custom content hair or something I hardly know....TBH. Has anyone been through this before and figured out what to search for. Or if you would Like to tell me who some of your favirot Sim creators are for the gallery I'd like to hear... There Is a great Anya Taylor-Joy creation by SimplyAnjuta. Also I found a great spot-on recreation of Katie Holmes by her as well. Check them out. Also, I don't have access to CC or Mods. It would be great to see a YouTube video doing a top ten best Sim creators but if such a thing existed, I can't find it for some reason. My best option has been just search within the sims 4 gallery by most popular and put it to household, and then follow like whoever has the 5 most popular sims.

Need Sims for Base Game Save File

I'm doing a base game build challenge in the other thread, looking for base game builds for my save file, but I also need sims for the save file. If there is any interest in making sims for this project, I'd love to see them!

Rules:
1. They must be base game only sims, including traits and aspirations.
2. Absolutely no mods or cc.
3. You will need to fill out the Submission Entry Information for each sim you want considered.
4. Please only add never-before-played sims, without skills, achievements, or career advancement, etc.
5. No cheats allowed

Submission Entry Information:
3. Your gallery id
4. Your forum name
5. Link to the sim in the gallery you want considered (helpful but not required)
6. Permission to use this specific sim, with credit within the household management. (Yes/No)
7. Permission to change minor issues (such as a trait accidentally added from a non-base game, or missing clothing for same reason, etc) (Yes/No)
8. Picture and Name of Sim/Sim family you want considered.
9. Link to YouTube or Blog, etc if you have a back story or whatever...(this won't necessarily be included in save)
10. Specify instruction: (career path, likes dislikes, or whatever)

If you would like your sim to have a specific husband/wife/girl or boyfriend, etc, you must state this in the same entry form (specific instructions), as well as add that sim with his/her own entry form (already married should be added together). If you do not add this information, it is assumed they can be added to the save without such restrictions. (If the instructions are too complex for me to spend that much time on them, they probably won't be chosen, so please keep that in mind.)

These are chosen by my own personal wants/needs in the game, and can be changed and shifted as the progression of this save goes through the process.
