Are the Spark'd sims from the TV show on the gallery to download?

Did they ever upload the households and lots that were on the Spark'd TV show to the gallery? I'm following BFGameSquad's gallery and I don't see any of the Spark'd creations there, nor are they on the Maxis gallery. I'm also not seeing them on the competitors' gallery pages either. Is there a place I can download them or did they just never get uploaded?

Spark'd removal

My game will not allow me to remove a sim I uploaded to a Spark'd Challenge. There isn't even a button to remove the submission - the only buttons visible to click are download and "like". Its really bugging me. Saving the sim to my library and viewing it there rather than in the gallery doesn't change anything either.

I have repaired/updated/reinstalled the game as well as Origin. Before this, I deleted and regenerated the Sims 4 folder. None of this worked. I don't use CC at the moment and I don't need the game's legacy edition, so please don't recommend it. I've also cleared all cache, etc.

I don't know what else to do? I've had this problem since Spark'd was a thing.

Is it just me or is Sims Spark'd a bit cringeworthy?

Admittedly, I'm not a reality TV fan. But from the clip I saw on youtube... everything about this show was a bit painful and awkward to watch. I only saw some weird storytelling segment were they had to improv a real estate agent for a busted Sims house. What is the point of this show? Is it popular? If so why? Would love to hear from fans who can detail its merits as much as anyone who agrees with me.

Spark'd Golden Age - Sims & Builds

So, I was excited for the Spark'd challenges. I wanted to see entries that were unique to the challenge. Sadly, simmers spammed the competition with builds, sims, and videos that had nothing to do with the competition. I would like to see it come back again in 2021 with stricter controls.

I made several sims for the Golden Age challenge - I like making weird elders, they make my game lively. For the sim Doc McQuackson I also created a build - her home with a basement vet clinic and lab in Strangerville. Doc is a scientist and a vet on the side. She tends to all the abandoned pets in Strangerville whose owners are possessed. But, hidden behind the vet clinic is a lab or horrors where she has imprisoned aliens, bears, and conducted experiments on sims and those strange plants. It is unknown if Doc McQuackson is helping Mother or trying to destroy her.

Spark'd Challenge entries on gallery

It doesn't take much to notice how People are spamming the competition with anything they can. This Spark'd challenge could be such an amazing extra to People that like to create, until you find out that there is absolutely no enforcement or moderation of what is going on. People sharing other Peoples creations, one Person has entered over 33 entries to latest competition and has literally monopolized the gallery with irrelevant builds that now has become spam and advertisement for them.

The flag button does nothing, this is apparently a ruse button so that the person reporting the submissions are no longer able to see them but the flagged items remain.

It would even help if the challenge was changed allowing only so many submissions per category! This was such an amazing idea, but it has become more frustrating than anything know that your creations may never get the attention they could, if people did not get away with spamming, and monopolizing the board.

Hi folks, I know that this section of the Forums is kind of dead, but I have a particular love for this round of Spark'd's Creature Challenge and I had so much fun creating new and updating old households of mine that I thought I'd share them here. I'm an avid Occult player and love to put strange Sims into my game and match them with some of the amazing builds that I find on the Gallery.

I'm going to put each household in a new post to try to declutter and if there are several pictures, I'll put them under spoilers.

First household I want to share is my Happy Haunts Staff. The idea came from the second place concept winner in the community stuff pack vote and I still hope that the theme will be a game pack one day. So as part of my own vision as to what this kind of pack might be like, I made these guys. The story says:

"Ghost trouble? Missing that relative who won't let you rest because they can't? Call 1-666-H-p-p-y-h-n-t and our Undertaker will fix all of your haunting needs! Let our Oracle get all the answers you don't want to hear while our on-site Gravedigger finds out who's really dead (or not)! Or, get an appointment with the Gatekeeper and speak directly to your Reaper! (Now hiring!) At Happy Haunts, we're not happy unless you're haunted!"

Storyteller Submission Error? (Update!)

I'm hoping this is the right place to post this, but I was curious if anyone else is having (or has had) trouble submitting their Storyteller entry? I saw on the EA Answers forums that this was an issue that was once solved, but seems to be broken again. I've included a couple of screenshots (below) to show what error I am getting.

If anyone could offer me some advice or assistance regarding this, I'd be eternally grateful. Good luck to everyone else hoping to submit a Storyteller entry -- hopefully this issue can be resolved before the deadline in a few hours. Thank you!

Update: I've just tweeted EAHelp and notified them of the issue. I'll be sure to post updates if the issue is resolved and/or someone gets in contact with me!

Update 2: As of around ten minutes before the official deadline, I unfortunately still have not found a fix. To quote the food review gospel:

No, but in all seriousness though, I'm hoping at least that not everyone trying to submit is affected by this! For now, I've decided to make my video public and add the appropriate hashtags (as recommended in the Storyteller FAQ) and hope that...helps? Hopefully tomorrow I can get in touch with someone. If there's any way I can help, I'll be sure to update.

Suggestion to Guru's

Hi Guru's.

Loving the new Spark'd challenges, but getting a teensy frustrated with people uploading not reading the rules. When we want to upload something we do get a pop up...

but I think many people don't read the rules since they are on an external page that gets opened. Perhaps you could just have the basic rules on the pop up for the challenge.'

You must upload a wedding couple or wedding venue
No custom poses and cc to be used
Remember to use the pg rated rules as usual

Then when the challenge changes, you can just change the first rule. I think its best that simmers can see the top rules as the pop up comes up to accept that its indeed a spark'd challenge you are uploading.

Before simmers get upset with me about the suggestion, its just I wanted to browse through some entries before I made my own to make sure I don't do something similar than others and there is so much none related sims and lots on there and for some reason they come up as most popular as well so its pretty hard to scroll through it all. This is just a suggestion and my opinion, I truly are not trying to upset anyone in any way. Happy simming everyone

Because of a busy move the same week that the first Spark'd Challenges were due, I wasn't able to finish my Storytelling entry in time! I've had all the footage for it sitting in a folder for a while now, and finally the inspiration struck me to finish it up!

It's a bit longer than the 3 minutes they were looking for, but I guess since I missed submission I don't have to follow the rules 🤷‍♀️

2 questions about spark'd submissions

Hi there, can anyone answer me my questions? I'm working on a submission for the builder challenge and have two things that are unclear to me: 1st it says no CC allowed. Do pictures users create that are nocc count as cc or not? Bit confusing as the game doesn't count them as cc but they are still created by users. 2nd it says no red shelf allowed. Is it ok to use other ingame objects to get an object to the desired level and place them like this? e.g. you can use a counter to to place a toothbrush at the right heigth for a sink that doesn't have object slots?

Ahoy! So the winners have finally been announced, and I gotta say...huge congrats to all the selected Top Spark'd Creators! I'm always floored by the talent in this community~ Which are some of your favorites? Have you learned anything that might help you improve your chances of being selected in the next challenge? What did you think about the first challenge and the process overall? Let's rap!

Also just to say, please do not attack or be cruel to the winners! That is not what this thread is for. Only positive vibes for those who were selected, please! ✌

I’ll start with some of my personal favorites from each category! Feel free to share which entries you like the most and why~

For the Stylist category, Ron & Ethel: Casino ReWed are just packed with character! You can tell so much about them just by looking at them, and I love the description, too! A Witch & Her Doll Bride is another favorite of mine. Their story is so unique, and I just love that their outfits don't have to match exactly, and they still look like they belong together. Love this couple!

For the Builder category! To be fair, I don't have much say on this one 'cause I know plum-all about building, but! Sky Lantern Beach Wedding has got to be my favorite by far. Such a creative use of the lanterns -- it truly leaves me breathless! Sixam Space Rock Wedding also sticks out to me for obvious reasons! Unique concept, and I just love the colors.

For the Storyteller category (my favorite), I... Well to be honest, I really enjoyed every single one that I watched! But if I had to pick some favorites... Till Death Do Us Part is great on so many levels. I really admire that they needed absolutely zero narration to tell this beautiful and heartbreaking story. Not to mention it was filmed really well! My First Love Story is also a simple and sweet story with no narration needed. Also filmed really well! Again, it’s hard to pick just a couple. I recommend them all!

If there’s anything I learned from all this, personally, it’s that I shouldn’t wait until the last minute! I think that’s where I really hurt myself -- what I should have spent two weeks on, I wound up having to spend roughly a week (including two, count ‘em, two nights without sleeping a wink) getting done what I needed to get done. Next challenge, I’ll be sure to start straight away so I don’t put as much stress on myself as I did this time around. Nobody’s fault but mine! 🤷‍♀️

I think that overall the challenges are fun, but could certainly be improved moving forward. For example, lots of users had problems submitting their Storyteller entries via the appropriate site. Super stressful for all involved I’m sure, so I hope this is something that can and will be resolved in future challenges. Also, as raised in this thread, the gallery itself (I think) could do with more moderation. I feel terribly that I couldn’t vote on a lot of great entries because, unfortunately, they were buried amidst the rule breakers. This makes it hard not only to vote on, but to get your entry seen as well! That being said, however, I still think that the challenges are a great idea overall, and I hope we can all participate in and enjoy all the challenges to come!

On a potentially related note, I can’t help but notice that a lot of the winning entries are ones I didn’t even see in the gallery (could just be me, o’ course). I only recognized one Storyteller entry, but this can easily be explained by the fact that you could submit an unlisted video (which I have no problem with btw). Still, I wish I could have seen these amazing creations long before they were selected -- I would have loved to have voted for them!

Now! Enough rambling from me. I opened with these questions and I’ll close with them: What are some of your favorite winning entries? How will you change your own submissions moving forward (if at all)? And what did you think of the challenge process overall?

Editing to add a ✨ brand new super-duper bonus question ✨ (that I didn't think of until after I posted this)! Did you learn or try anything new in the process of creating your entries? Personally I changed up how I approach Build/Buy Mode completely! Now I use moveobjects and the debug items all the time. It's a great way to add little touches that really can give a room, office, cat-themed guest bathroom, etc. lots of personality!

What I Expected the Sims Spark’d to Actually Be

Alright so, I loved the Sims Spark’d, but it wasn’t what I expected, nor wanted. If any of you watch the MCC (Minecraft Championship) you know that it’s very different from the Sims Spark’d. The Minecraft Championship is a bunch of people getting together to do mini games to try to win. Sounds similar to the Sims Spark’d, right? Wrong. MCC is funny, and focused on the actually gaming part of the competition. Spark’d I felt like focused a lot on drama and the people. It felt like I was watching a show like Masterchef, not a video game competition. People cried, StephoSims left, Team Llama got into fights, etc. I felt like they tried to hard to copy shows like Masterchef instead of making it the awesome, funny, video game competition I was hoping for. I decided to post this one here to see how many people agree with me. Do you enjoy the Sims Spark’d how it is? Or would you rather it be less dramatic, like they are focusing to much on the drama and less on the game play?

My Problem with The Sims Spark'd

Hey guys, so a disclaimer: this is not a thread to bash any of the EA Gamechangers or the game in general, I just want to open a discussion about the new reality TV show called The Sims Spark'd that is coming out.

As you might have guessed from the title of this thread I am not 100% behind this project. It is not that I don't like reality TV or that this kind of show is not my cup of tea. The thing I am most dissatisfied with is the decision to create such a project and the way it is being executed.
There are 4 main problems that I personally have with this new reality TV show.

My biggest problems are:

-EA's priorities
-The investment of resources
-The contestants
-The competitive nature

First, I want to start with EA's business priorities in the moment. I think several members of the community, no matter if they enjoy or not enjoy The Sims 4, have expressed a wish for more content in The Sims 4. There have been a lot of requests for more features (ex. cars, farming etc.) but there is also a big amount of people asking for a revamp of certain very important features in a Sims game (ex. babies). However The Sims Team/EA seems to be prioritizing things nobody really ever asked for like this reality show over people's feedback.
And the people asking for those features are not just random "people". They are customers. We are all EA's customers and we are actively contributing to EA's financial well-being. However, EA doesn't seem to be willing to return the favor.
Personally I am all for trying new things but to me this is going way to far and it seems they are taking the focus away from the game and instead are trying to turn it into some kind of a brand.
Does the existence of this TV show mean the things we've been asking for are not coming? Of course not. Maybe they will eventually come, however some of the requests I mentioned have been there since Day 1 of the game's release and its been 6 years. EA creating a reality show while we've been waiting 6 whole years for certain features to be added to the game that actually should have been there in the first place feels a little like them showing us the middle-finger.

Secondly, I want to talk about something I have noticed regarding EA's investment of their own resources. My definition of resources in this context is the time and money a company possesses.
Last year EA proudly announced that The Sims 4 has created over 1 billion dollars in lifetime revenue (that means the base game and its DLC on all platforms except mobile). This is an enormous amount of money and some speculate that they have already passed the 1.5 billion dollar mark. So we can all agree that factually EA is making a lot of money from this game. So the question is where is this all this money going to? Nobody really knows exactly but judging by EA's moves lately it doesn't seem to be flowing into the gameplay but it seems to be going to things like ads and marketing projects like this reality TV show. To be fair EA did expand the Sims team after releasing articles of the game's revenue since it would have been fatal not to hire more people after telling the whole world how rich they've become, however that 1 billion dollars didn't just show up in their front door, they have been making this crazy amount for years now, yet The Sims team has had to step-up and share with the public that they don't have enough budget, time and staff for more of their ideas and our requests to make it into the packs.
So my question is where does all the money go to? Why doesn't the Sims team have more budget but we are now getting a reality TV show?
If EA has money for Instagram cooperations with celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens and that girl from Sabrina the teenage witch why don't they provide the Sims Team with more money for the development of the actual product?

Furthermore, I want to move away from finances and talk a little bit about the reality show itself, especially its contestants. Now, I am no expert in Youtubers and Twitch streamers but even I recognized at least 4-5 of these people on the show. It seems that EA has decided to make a competition show with people who are already rich and famous and awarding them with even more publicity and even more money. I feel like the 100k dollars for someone like Plumbella is like her yearly salary or something. I have to admit it is a smart move to have famous people competing since that way they can be used to make people watch the show. Also the Youtubers and Twitch streamers will probably be pushing the show on their channels as well.
But I am deeply dissapointed EA isn't giving all those awesome creators that nobody really knows a chance to show their creations and tell their stories. Almost every other competition show has random unknown people auditioning like "The Circle", "The Voice" etc. but The Sims Spark'd is only for the VIPs.
To me it is basically just a business move for EA to advertise their game and their packs and for the Youtubers and Twitchers to even gain more publicity and money. It's a pity 'cause this would have been a great opportunity to have everyday simmers from all around the world showcase their incredible and unique creations. The should have selected people based on "talent" and not based on their status.

Lastly I am very dissapointed with the competitive nature of the show and it worries me that this might the direction the Sims is heading. I think the competitive spirit contradicts the core of the Sims series which was always to create your own unique stories and play the way you decide to play. Everybody has a different playstyle and a desire to create stories unique to their liking. The game has no goal, you set the goal and you decide what happens. There is no better or worse in the Sims, there is only different!
This is where the issue lies. How are they going to judge the contestants on a game with no goal where everybody is free to do what suits them? And even if they do find criteria to judge the contestants the question remains as to "Why?" Why would you compare a Simmer's individual experience of the game with another Simmer? And why would you decide to punish a Simmer's way to play the game with an elimination process while rewarding the one you personally think is better? There is no better or worse, the Sims has no goal, has no rules, it is not about competing, it is about sharing!
And this is exactly where they went wrong. They should have simply provided random players from all-around the world with a platform to share their experiences and their way of playing the Sims, rather than turning it into this weird mix between competitive E-Sports and reality TV.

To sum it all up, I personally do not like the idea of this show and I am hoping that this isn't a sign of similar things to come. I personally do not want the Sims to turn into a competition. I play and support the game to do the things I want and to share them with other people and see what other people want to share with me. By giving me this amount of freedom the sims series has helped me go through some very difficult moments in my life and overcome the pressures and anxiety of a judging and competitive society.
However I want to add that as long as this show doesn't have an influence on the present or the future of the sims then I can simply ignore it but because a project like this one financially drains the actual game itself I felt I had the need to speak up, as a customer but most importantly as a long-time fan.

Disclaimer: It seems I was able to keep up with only a certain amount of positivity while writing this as the bugs in the actual game bug me a lot.

It is obvious that I'm not the only one having issues with this Spark'd thingy, that's for sure.
But I am trying to stay positive. I really am, though it really isn't my cup of tea. I don't even like reality TV tbh. But I do love The Sims, so I would really like to like this thing, you know? Maybe I'd get some new ideas for my builds, gameplay or so on and maybe (just maybe) this is produced and paced and overall made better than some other content I've come across (there must be a nice budget after all at least). I _want_ to like this.

I must not be the only one here on the forums who doesn't use social media platforms (IG, YT, Twitter etc.) to follow TS content or for any other reasons but that's not the point. I am but a simmer, a simple one, and getting a bit old already, and having a huge lack of interest on "subscribe and like" and all that nonsense. I don't even have a clue what these gamechangers(?) are. And I'm totally happy being ignorant, just to be clear.

The problem is that I have no idea who these people are who'll be on the show. And that's making it even more difficult for me to get excited or even interested at Spark'd at all. Who are they? What have they done? Where did they come from?
(we all know where do they go - to a irrelevant 100k game show yeehaw cotton-eyed-joe)

As stated above, I don't use social media so all links to the contestants profiles/channels/etc will be of no use to me. If someone would like to point me out to a direction where I could get a grasp of who these people are, why they are popular or what makes them special in other ways I'd be grateful. Maybe some forum links or something like that? I tried to google but all I could find was shallow news of this thingy so maybe it's just too soon after the announcement?

But I started this thread in hopes that you - the other simmers who know about this stuff and follow these "influencers" - to explain to me why I should be interested in these contestants and without any ill will:

Why do they deserve the 100k opportunity?
And why would I want to watch them trying to win? Emphasis on "them" - if the show will be good it won't really matter if I don't know the contestants beforehand.

Curious to hear everyone's opinions on The Sims Spark'd reality TV show.

I personally think it's a complete waste of money and resources. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the development of the game but I would have liked to see all that energy put into the game itself. There are so many things the Sims community has been asking for whether it be new content ideas or fixes to game breaking bugs and issues. As far as I know, no one asked for a reality TV show.
