I think I might have figured out how to always get my custom content in the game. Lately I've been repairing my game through Origin before each play, and then making sure the launcher says the items are installed before entering the game. It seems to be working; but I would like to know, is that dangerous? Because my brand new computer is extremely low on space. She has 8 mineral samples, some hers, some that other's analyzed.

She had previous cloned all of these, things she analyzed, things people in other households analyzed, I can't imagine why it just broke in the middle of a game playing session.

I exited the game and got back in, I had her try to clone on a public lot, so tried having her do it at home, but I got the same problem.

But now, none of my content is installing. I have all this great stuff that I can't use. It says they're installed and located in Buy Mode, but they're not. My building is still invisible between the lobby and my Sims' suite. I tried twice now to repair the game in Origin, but that doesn't do a thing.
Unusual activity has occurred at the same time this problem started; like my screen flashing once or the layout becoming large, my icons momentarily disappearing, my computer shutting off by itself, and being unable to log out of multiple programs. Additionally I now get pop-up advertisements on Facebook, if that's relative. Maybe I should have mentioned that before, but it didn't occur to me then. My computer has been hacked earlier this year, so I'm hoping that's not the case. I'm hoping several things aren't the case; like another ugly computer death. I cannot afford to replace my computer again so soon. If this problem is terminal, I'm just going to have to let my computer go.

That's on the lot of the Landgraab villa in SV. It's something like a white large folded sheet, and if you look from below, there's also some kind of "ceiling" to it, which is only visible from certain angles. My game was working perfectly until my computer got sent away for repair so it got completely wiped. When I re installed everything I re uploaded a back up from my memory stick, I could no longer install all my CC from the launcher. It says..

"Please make sure your game has the latest software updates and try again"

This has been an ongoing problem for months now! I haven't been able to solve it. All my games are up to date.. and as far as I can see, my computer is too. My Sims walk around with missing CC and hair with black faces because the skin is no longer installed.

I'll be having to switch computers next month sometime though so if reinstalling seems to be the answer I'll just wait and start from scratch. I've tried other stuff people said on forums about creating a new folder, etc, but the steps aren't in depth enough to for me to know what I'm supposed to do. I thought it was my Sims themselves that may be causing the problem, as they are the original Sims I first starting playing from the beginning - eight years ago. Then I got a new computer with Win 10; Sims 3 installed and ran fine, but after all these years, I concluded my original Sims were just too corrupt to continue playing. So I decided to revisit old saves from years ago, as in 2012 - before Seasons and Supernatural were released. I noticed the redraw time was far less on the old games, so I figured great, I'll just play these again - relive old times. Nope. A simple trip to the public pool or even just doing some redecorating in edit mode and the game crashes, without warning. This is back when I did not have more than 8 Sims per household. I know I could try creating my Sims all over again and see what happens, but I'd rather not go through that. And with no hint of Sims 5 in the near future, I'm worried I may have to return to games like Doom or Wolfenstein. They're good games, but I prefer Sims 3.

I am going to admit that I haven't tried every solution but hear me out as to why: literally zero of my saves are loading correctly. They load with no UI, I find a way to restore it (through switching to another household and then back again, or evicting and replacing via edit town), and then the green boxes show up. I have backups from when my current elder heir was just a baby and they are all facing this issue, as far as I'm aware, even if I was able to successfully load them before. Some notes:

- I haven't traveled recently at all
- I can switch to another household and there is no green box bug
- I did a full reinstall to troubleshoot, as well as loading saves in a "factory reset" file (no dice). Since they're in Sunlit Tides, I also reinstalled that world itself.
- In my most recent batch of backups, the same three sims and dog are affected. One of them is pregnant in the most recent save but not pregnant in the others, with no change in how she's affected.
- no mods were being used. Obviously I'm open to them as a fix but I wonder if it will solve everything being unable to load.

I'm having an issue with this world I just finished building. I had no issues testing the world out while building it, but now that it is complete and I am ready to play, I have this issue with most of the kids/teens in the world.

There is a school. Then I placed a second school, but a majority of the kids have a message in their education tab that says "there are currently no schools to attend in this town". 2 kids can attend school, but the rest can't. All of these sims are freshly made in CAS within the past 2 weeks. And most have been play testing the world as it was built. I have deleted the save and made a new copy of the building world. If I create a new family within this town, they can go to school. It's only this set of sims that was created in one of the test worlds that are having this problem. I also have Nraas careers and set it up to be able to call to register for school, but there is no option.

My game is modded, but I haven't had problems like this before. And it worked fine in a test version just 2 days ago.

Is there any way to replace/locate missing tombstones?

SOLUTION:
Requires Nraas mastercontroller.

So what I did was I noticed that the object was still "there" but just invisible, because while in live mode, when I would move my mouse over where I thought I had placed the object, the cursor turned to a red circle with a line, indicating I couldn't click there as a spot to go, as there was something there.

Click on that spot
Nraas - Mastercontroller (swirl - not ":")
Add object to inventory
Not inventory
Objects.urnstoneHuman
Select the name of the sim who's urn you're attempting to reset
and click to add the urn to the family inventory
the urn should then appear in your family's inventory, and you should have no problem placing it.

Anyway, two members were a bit more resistant to fixing. Angelica had been demoted at the job twice for some reason. She had done an "overtime" work opportunity, and from that point on, she was working from 9 am to 10:30 pm every single day, and the progress bar was stuck at the end without ever granting a promotion. This behavior was reset resistant (either lot or sim).

Puzzle has a social trait that isn't visible in the menu, only in MC. It cannot be removed via MC or reset. I tried to get her a new choice of trait the normal game way (reaching level 8 in a social group), the choice comes up as normal, but choosing something has no effect (still no visible social trait, MC still sees the old one).

While Angelica still has a few options to try, I have the feeling that Puzzle is somehow corrupt beyond being fixable. 1) Before my household split and moved, they had some butler. About half of the family moved up on the hill in SV (this remained the active family), and afterwards the other half moved to the other end of town. I actually deleted the original house that was full of stuff in the next step and placed another house back from the library. I noticed that the old butler still lives there. He's not a resident, doesn't own the house (the house counts as empty), but he is sitting in there, using the pools, etc., or in other words, he's not disabled like other inactive service people. Can I just annihilate him, or does that cause issues? There's too many service people in my town anyway.

2) Up on the hill in SV, both neighbors on both sides (Landgraab and Alto) produce constant error messages about being unroutable. When I look, they are actually in the original parking position near the entrances. Is this due to those houses being close enough to be in some kind of half-rendered state?
