What is the current state of the console controls? Have they been changed back yet? I am playing without updates until it breaks as I would rather play with the old controls. Unfortunately this means I can't buy any packs! Has these been any reasons given for these changes?

Stop changing the console controls. EA have stated that they believe these changes "reduce the overall complexity" of playing on console. But they don't play on console, we do! Please spend your time fixing actual bugs instead of changing things that have never been an issue for players.

Problems with the control updates, including the ones listed in this video, have been reported and discussed on AHQ since January. Edit: Thank you for spending the time to make this video. Honestly I hope they finally listen and just revert to the original controls and stop fiddling with things.

Still no updates or news regarding console controls, unfortunately disabled players are still having lots of issues when playing or simply can't play all. Hopefully we will get some information soon.

Since the Jan 31st console controls update some of us with physical conditions that impact our hands/wrists can no longer play without being in pain or discomfort. Needless to say if the Sims 5 console controls are like the current updated Sims 4 controls, I won't be buying it as I wouldn't be able to play it unfortunately.

I'm out of the loop, what is EA play please? (I may be living under a rock haha). Not sure how I feel about it being console only, I'm a console player but would rather everyone got to enjoy everything. We all paid money and love the Sims, I don't see a reason for this exclusivity.

I am surprised (and disappointed) that there has been no response. I feel sorry for those who claim to be unable to play now due to disabilities. As Sims 4 does so much to promote inclusivity, I hope these players are considered and that something is done.

@reaganbogan I haven't personally updates to the new controls yet, but apparently the menu stays open now, there is no option to close it. I keep hearing about the undo button being removed. I have (often, somehow) accidentally deleted entire floors/rooms and have had to quickly use the undo button.
