So I have a wheel spin thing I do in a let's play, and my spin told me to have 5 mean interactions with my boyfriend, which put us out of being soulmates. So I felt bad, and the next day we went on a date where we woohoo in a dumpster...Good times...
Oh, my. I finally was able to get back into some story gameplay. The last few months it's been difficult to play due to holiday travel and a death in the family, but here's an update on things in The Myst.

The Guidry-Albert proposal for Spirit Representation has finally been scheduled to be addressed by the Council. In advance of the meeting, Morgyn opened up the chambers to any other proposals, and was surprised that Caleb Vatore had come to present his own request. Morgyn assured him that the Forgotten Hollow Annexation Proposal would be heard at the upcoming meeting, providing he had enough support from the residents of Forgotten Hollow and The Myst.
Later that day, Caleb met with an informal group of coucil members and citizens to drum up support. Tomax was especially interested.
Morgyn practiced his speech with Ethren and Harry Bigfoot providing critique.
And, Guidry and Mrs. Albert arranged to meet Morgyn at the Humor and Hijinks Festival to provide details of their own proposal. He assured them of a full hearing.
I'd left a random alien urn chilling in the living room while testing mod stuff. Could have sworn it had turned yellow for some reason, but I only noticed right as I was quitting. Now I'll never know if my monitor's light filter was playing tricks on my eyes or if I broke something, since I don't save when testing stuff .-.

Be very careful when testing mods. I tried out a mod in my quest for more random things to happen and I started two separate saves for it, hoping to keep my main save intact. This mod had some problems and I lost one of my Sims. When I tried to use a cheat to bring her back to the household, I never could get into that lot to play them. So very glad at that point I had the second save. Somewhere along the line things went totally south on me, despite what I thought were 'safe=guards' against the worst. I would have been more wise to make a back-up save and keep in on my desktop or on a flash drive, but lesson learned. I had to restart my game save. Now, it's not entirely the same as losing your game, which includes your Tray, your saves, your screenshots, et al. But I do have plenty of tea and sympathy to offer. Best of luck!
Earlier this month, I had some serious hardware problems with my computer. Turns out, I needed to replace the cooling system. While I was waiting for the parts to come in, I moved all my Sims stuff to my husband's computer. I had a flash drive with my tray, mods and cc, and saves, but unfortunately, the save for my current playthrough was a couple of weeks old and I lost a lot of progress. So, I decided to continue on with a new story with my favorite Sim, Johnny.
Thankfully, my computer is now fixed and running better than before.
Johnny was staying with his friends, David and Allison, for a bit. David and Allison had a son in this version, and his name is Samuel. Little Sam absolutely loves his "Uncle Jon Jon". One night after a performance at a local bar, Johnny came back to an energetic toddler begging for playtime... at midnight.
The following day, David and Allison went off to work and Johnny and James were babysitting Samuel. James, known as "Uncle J" to Samuel, was also staying with David and Allison while he was working on his acting career.
JOHNNY
Okay, Sam. What animal is this?
SAMUEL
Dog!
JOHNNY
No, this is a fox. And what does the fox say?
SAMUEL
Woof!
JOHNNY
No, no. That's a dog! Foxes go "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
JAMES
Johnny! Are you okay?! You sound like someone's killing you!
JOHNNY

Johnny has since met and moved in (as a roommate) with Emiliano. I'm using the Simple Living lot trait for their apartment, so I need to keep the fridge stocked with groceries. I built a marketplace for my world to do all my shopping. Sure, I could just order the food and have it delivered to the apartment, but I think it's way more fun to go to a physical store.
After they went shopping, they stopped by a restaurant in Oasis Springs for a quick bite before heading home. Emiliano was carrying some of the groceries, and he decided to crack open a jar of honey.
JOHNNY
What are you doing? Are you going to put honey on your choripan?
EMILIANO
Nah... I'm just going to eat it with my fingers.
JOHNNY
Why? I was going to make honey cake with that.
EMILIANO
Don't worry! We still have the second jar.
Five minutes later...
JOHNNY
You're eatin' the second honey!?
EMILIANO
Mmmm... This honey is so good! Do you want to try it?
JOHNNY
But... my honey cake!
Lesson learned. Do NOT let Emiliano handle the honey.
@DoloresGrey I've had a wedding in the rain. Didn't know my Sim could check the weather in a town where he didn't live. At least the guests managed to eat the entire cake before it started to pour! Besides, rain on a wedding day is supposed to bring good luck. LOL

The last time the default Father Winter got a new job in my game, the game generated a replacement for him, with a completely different appearance even. He still had the beard and the outfit, but his hair wasn't gray, it was Dark Black. He looked more like Paul Bunyan than Father Winter.

I finally got to put a sim in the Actor career without any lagging! Adeline Cole graduated from the University of Britechester with a Drama degree and joined the Actor career. After two commercials, she landed a movie roll and was nominated for a Starlight Accolade award!(ceremony pics in next update as it hasn't happened yet)
Birthdays have happened as Ben Cole, his sister Ashlynn, and their cousin Michael became young adults and a teenager. The two boys were born the same day.

Naoki Ito was the expedition leader. With him was his wife Megumi, son Kiyoshi and family friend Ryuji.
It started out rough with a few injuries and a spontaneous blizzard, but traversing the rocky terrain soon became easier.
That was until...
The team hit the largest wall on their climb up.
Ryuji scaled the wall with ease.
While everyone else stayed at the camp, staring longingly into a bonfire. None of them had enough skill to attempt the climb!
Naoki felt guilty as a leader towards his family and friend for not bringing them all the way to the top.
And they were so close! Oh well. It's back to skill building.

My legacy founder, TJ, became an elder today and they had a birthday party for him at the Gnome's Arms in Henford-on-Bagley.
And Abby and Bryanna worked on planning their wedding, checking out potential venues and shopping around for a decent wedding photographer. They ended up choosing Myshuno Meadows and the venue has been booked for this coming Saturday.
They even practiced posing for wedding photos.
And I, the Watcher, finally understood why the person who built the park wedding venue I've been using for years put the big ol' telescope on the lot...What can I say, I'm slow on the uptake.
