question about notification wall

This might be a silly question but I am wondering if all players notification walls have changed recently in that I am now forced to scroll through massive messages and pics lately instead of just being able to pick through miniature messages and hop to the thread that the message relates to? I have tried to look through the settings but cannot find anything I may have ticked inadvertently. If this is a new change to the forum can anyone tell me how I can go back to the old style notification wall please..

Edit: I take it back, I just found it.I don't ever go to my wall, so I didn't notice it.Hopefully its just a bug.

I was hoping it was something I had done inadvertently I wish they would just leave things alone that are not broken and stop meddling with everything..

It really is an annoying I will probably miss half the things I am trying to keep track off now..
