What are some venues you have in your worlds that keep your Sims busy? I have added stores, café', a skating rink, even a movie theater! I want to get them out of the house more especially on the weekends with the kids. So any ideas or things you have added to add some fun to your Sims life?

Tales From The Myst
The Blue Moon Jukebox
This would be a neat idea to try! I have not lumped everything into one yet but sounds like lots of fun to keep them busy
Wow! Why I never thought of something like that I do not know but that sounds amazing as well! Especially for the toddlers to have something to do and a birthday venue!
Casino!! I need that!!
Let me check my game real quick since I can't remember where I got it from LOL. I'll edit this post with where you can find it.'
Edit: Okay, you can find the venue on the gallery. It's called Geezer's Palace Casino (love that name, snicker). The creator is AhhSoSpice and it's a 40x30 lot if you need help narrowing it down. The slot machines are from Cepzid, called Zulf_ArcadeSlotMachine
I get sick of the same lots all the time ...... gym, restaurant, bar, library .... *snores*, boring
Yaaay! Thank you so much!
I need to make my lots with multiple activities in them I see. Arcade center sounds fun too. I made a roller rink and added the one machine that is in game to it but that was it. I am with you after awhile things get sleepy.
I have art studios and photographers in museums. I have parks with (modded) areas that have "premium" activities and require a fee to use. The public pool has restaurants and an arcade.
My actual arcade has lan party capabilities and private rental rooms for gaming events.
The school contains all skilling objects so you can learn there.
The ice cream shop is also a party place for kids with it set up so all you need to bring is the cake.
I have casinos.
I have work centers for my work from home sims that contain work related objects, but also includes a lounge and bar games. Each "office" is set up for each different career.
In granite falls, I have a summer camp that has all the outdoor fun stuff for kids. (Modded to use vacation worlds as regular worlds).
I have a lab where all my vampires work. They have fun practicing their skills while waiting for their next victim.
I always have stores and bakeries and things like that in every town. Usually all on one lot.
So awesome! Ya'll got me booming with so many ideas atm lol The summer camp sounds like so much fun. That is my favorite season to play in. I own all the games so I will try the club aspect never thought to do that smh
The club system is my favorite part of this game. It's useful and versatile.
How I play is the have every household have their own club with activities to do about town...that way when I'm playing other families with similar interests, they'll see each other at the venue and have a chance to meet.
Then each individual sim has a club for their interests.
And if they have family members or friendships that are really close, they will get another club and venue.
All of this helps my world feel like it's booming. My community lots are always bustling.
I do use the gallery to help, bringing in some of the best premade renovations available. If you search the gallery by hash tag using the original lot name for the hash tag which you search for, there are some very amazing renovations available for, literally, every single community lot in every single world. I always sort by "most popular" but look at like the top 20 to 30 because there are some amazing, incredible builds that are not in even the top 10.
Some of my favorites are:
A cafe in willow creek (replacing the museum) which has a toddler/children's play area on the 3rd floor, with all kind of toys, an outdoor Playground on the side, standard cafe setup on the first floor, and a nice internet cafe vibe on the 2nd floor with public computers and video games, as well as a few more activities to do (chess, small reading area, etc.).
A Restaurant in Britechester that is actually 5 buildings all in one lot, with 2 functional restaurants, a bar/dance club, a library with computers and research computers and a small art studio with Easels and woodworking benches.
The renos for both Commons in Britechester, which I got from the gallery, are amazing...my students attending university pretty much spend practically half of their awake time in the commons because there's so much to do in them.
A massive multi-story Art Gallery reno for San Myshuno that has freaking everything. Two stages with seating area and all the instruments + a microphone for the musical sims, an art studio area with easels and sketch pads, a crafting area with woodworking and floral arrangement stations, 2 bars staffed by bartenders with seating for guests to drink and eat, a children's area with many toys and several activity tables for the toddlers, outside mural and graffiti areas, and an area with Music Mix Master and Video stations. This one is probably my favorite lot in my game and is a modified version of one of the most popular San Myshuno Art's Center reno's on the gallery.
It's just beautiful architecturally as well as for play.
The Winters family Tree --- My Mods
What's that got to do with the OP's original question?
The Winters family Tree --- My Mods
> Gallery downloads are not custom content...they are just stuff other people built. If you make sure the "custom content" filter is off when viewing the gallery you don't even see things that were built with custom content.
Almost everything in the exchange is full of Custom Content and mods even when it's set to keep custom content out of the search engine. I can't use the exchange because all of it will show me is custom content and mods when I'm trying not to touch that stuff. The exchange is so full of such content that it's a total lost cause.
You're very wrong about that. I don't download anything which has CC and I have a TON of gallery downloads.
You're clearly thinking of TS3, not TS4.

The Sims 4's exchange is like I said. It's buried 6' under custom content and mods that are flooding the search engines when you specify not to see any custom content.
Willow creek:
I made it quite recently so I still have to test some routing but its a park with flower arranging playground stuff and bees and birds and bunnies and whatever pretty much only park i have atm
Magnolia Promenade:
I did exteriors in similar style cause I wanted to kinda make that kinda area
but its mall,restaurant and spa

spa:
mall:
Brindleton Bay:
It's still a bar but I added performance space
and private movie party room
I was trying to channel cozmo street from urbz so thats sort of the explanation for the aesthetics
oh and I added game table outside so you can have shady games there
I don't really have anything else in brindleton yet but i do need vet clinic so that probably next
and sims medieval recreation
but I also have this occult hub in the ruins
added some essential filling needs stuff
and made army base under it
and added some camping stuff on the roof to keep my sim from the wandering Zombies possessed sims
i like to pretend its possible
and i made larrys place a little more fabulous and useful the contrast man
I hope to add wishing well here once I get that pack one day
(I didn't screen this very well forgive me )
tower has a nice room for quick nap if you can meditate your way to it
and i added pipe organ yes
agnes likes to cross-stitch there
also theres frogs wallow based off object descriptions
I'm using it as restaurant since we don't have hotels or such yet
insides:
I love using the skating thingy there
and I also have this in name of urbz neon east vibes but idk if I end up redoing it later
second floor residential
aaand then theres the tea place i made when i first got the pack
you can basically meditate in the stone garden
or do some knitting cross stitch activities
read book, eat hot pot or sip some tea in peace that kinda stuff
aaand oh theres also the temple thats not temple you can meditate in but i do have it as residential cause my occult family lives in second floor and its more quiet this way
I plan to add school in wakaba but i keep being uninspired by the results so I'll keep trying
idk i kinda want japanese but also idk its spice district tho
moved and edited the salt house for it
karaoke, performances, shady games...
best views to die from pufferfish nigiri
for art place i have plans to have like record label studio vibes

uptown i edited the gym to be bit more...sparkly.
phew do I have more? yes I do. you didn't ask for this but since I started might as well
Del Sol Valley:
and then theres bobs burger random food place with probably pancakes in menu
aaand multipurpose lot mainly performing and cinema and theater kinda stuff
but i added beauty salon too
also I edited these community places so far tho i haven't gotten around to test if they work as i thought they would
aaand this one is kinda residental but also not but i just feel like adding it
what do they do here you may ask well....
they spy
mostly on aliens living in that blue house
aaand lets get back on track
Sulani:
place for all your tribey occulty needs
(i mean residential but i visit it with sims out of that household too for fun)
the black building is just toilet and kitchen nothing special so i don't have screens
then theres also yacht though I shall say its lucky i play sims and don't build yachts it would probably sink immediately
some lodging
wnb controls room
who would have guessed... another restaurant
little bar area
and deck for sunbathing and... regular bathing? i just felt like putting tub there since i could
and wow finally we have: nightclub addition I'm sure there would be more of those if sims could coupledance
oh and then once your yacht has found its way to sulani ofcourse you'll book into hotel... once ive finished it
and what is hotel without another... you guessed it. restaurant.
first floor is still bit empty cause I do be wary of if we get actual hotels i might need to add things
but otherwise
spa floor:
kiddie floor:
and third floor still has to be built but I think I'll wait next gp cause I'll probably add some...honeymoon vibes
oh and private occult room ofc
and there might be something going on... on the roof...
then i have another temple
that has something curious going on as well
Can you tell I am throwing vampires everywhere
aaand then theres farm/creative place that will probably never be completed but
I wanted to add stable but ofc we don't have horses so I used the dog thingies and actually now that i think of it idk even if dogs can go on holidays oh well
I was also hoping we get pottery eventually but no sight of it so far
and if we get nectar i was thinking of doing that stuff there...
i shall call it the palace of nonexistent gameplay
theres sheds tho cause I was wondering if maybe i can get llamas there
and man I just realized I forgot to screenshot forgotten hollow but i have it somewhere i think
--what else did I forget.. but i think im done... for now

Rollerskating rink with some gaming equipment nd arcade machines. Nice for family and friend outing or dates as well.
Also have a downtown market place since I got CL. Mostly for my sims that live off the grid, can go grocery shopping for ingredients and the like.
Nice pool area for all sims ages down to toddlers to beable to enjoy in the summer with things like the sprinkler and kiddie pool and slip n' slides.
