But do sims have talk bubbles when singing? Anyway, the guitar player seems to have a move that I can't recall, so I think you might be onto something re bands :)

Cula Bula but these 2 basegame updates better be epic. No more swatches. Except for ceilings swatches of course. Speaking of which...

"...free updates that add dimension to your sim's lives..."

Let's wishfully think about a couple of X-tra Base Game Dimensions they could still add to The Sims 4 in order to make the rest of this Season of Simselves be an instant Smash Hit:

    1. The Dimension of The Curstomizable Ceilings: those glaring white abominations are no help to my photosensitivity. I've been wearing my sunglasses since the game released.
    2. The Dimension of The Body Hair Menu: Because we need a bodyhair menu even if you think we don't.
    3. The Dimension of The Liberated Babe: EA, do everybody else a favour. (I just want occult things and bands).
    4. The Dimension of The Cars: Do you really think we can't have cars? Think again.
    5. The Dimension of The Spiral Stairs: It would suit my industrial lofts and all that delightful stuff we got with Batuu.
    6. The Dimension of The CAW: I will post an image of my cute little tear of happiness if we're ever to get a Sims 4 CAW Tool.
    7. The Dimension of The Sims Personality: Can my evil sims be evil please? Right now they act like they live in Care Bear Land.
    8. The Dimension of The More Romantic Interactions The Better: Forget about a Parisian Lurv EP. This should be a basegame update.
    9. The Dimension of The Extra Dimensions: Stuff I didn't think about but should be included including townie story progression etc.
    10. I've lost count.

Again, by the sound of that tweet we may only be getting two more BG updates this year. Anything from the above is fine by me. Even of we got liberated babes and nothing that actually sparks my interest. It'd be epic, and I'd want it for any of you who want it.
And hey, maybe those nectar bottles on that mandala image represent baby bottles in the shape of nectar bottles. Who knows? Who knows...

Yep, I vote for more dimension in babies, please give us more realistic babies. I would be happy with substantial bug fixes and more dimension in babies this year. We know that another EP is in the works, and probably a GP too I’m assuming.

Is that Sim even singing? I thought she'd talk about the nice weather.

She's doing the hand gestures sims do when they're singing

Sims do the exact same hand gesture when talking though. Haven't got a shot atm, but I have seen it a lot of times.

The move the guitar player does is also base game, @Simmerville.

My guess is werewolves or, even better, lycanthropes.

My guess is based on the fact that a popular werewolf mod recently broke, and another site posted that the developer dropped out of the game. BUT the mod was last updated just this summer, so why did they suddenly stop updating and drop out of the game? It might just be coincidence, but I am guessing (and hoping) that they stopped working on the mod because EA bought it from them to use in one of their own expansions.

I think this would be cool, because I'm really into folklore. If they are doing this, I'm hoping it's lycanthropes, so they could add other wereanimals. I'd put werefoxes in Mt. Komorebi, a wereshark for Sulani, and a Norwegian werebear in Windenburg.

Without releasing a pack this year, I have a hard time seeing how EA will keep the interest around Sims 4. Both here on twitter and youTube. What are there to discuss and show without anything new insight?! Scenarios are not that hot of an issue.

I think the Sims team thought Scenarios would be super popular with the community, but they've flopped. Now, they have nothing to show for the rest of 2021 other than Kits and 1 more update (probably swatches)...

This is gonna be a long, cold winter for the Sims 4 :/

(maybe they'll notice everyone's unhappy and release a good patch next time, but I'm skeptical)

Aside from youtubers who here even does rags to riches and not so barry challenges.

    me I do.
more for sim kids and more drama please

I also enjoy challenges, especially rags to riches. I enjoy starting my sims with no furniture and 0 or 100§ on their bankaccount. But usually I stop once they have a nice, comfortable home, a steady income and somewhere between 50 000 to 100 000 savings. Going all the way to one million like the scenario feels like a grind so I have no intention to ever do that scenario.

Yeah, I don't think they'd ever do that.

I love the challenges. But has anyone else noticed a decrease of posts from the main youtubers? Everything that comes out is a short one off, nothing of the big series that are going on from James/Deli/Gluon/Lilsimsie are they pre-recording new content?

It might just be because they don't have much to show lately. I mean how many videos can one possibly post on a kit?

I understand your point but James has a whole series going on that is not finished yet (Cottage Living Rags to Riches with the Bigwallets) and in 2 weeks he only posted a plant build so I' think something is in preparation

James and Deli just moved to another house in real life. They said that this was the reason for the lack of videos. :)

According to their own twitters/insta and youtube the move was done a while ago. James performed some upgrades to his pc and announced he was back. Deli was back well before that. Still no updates on either of their long term series.

This can of course be an extension of the move but I'm also noticing it with other youtubers which is why I'm curious whether there might be more too it.

This is of course speculation as this section encourages. I don't know I'm just wondering.

Maybe the next expansion pack will be based on CallmeKevin, I heard that he has a cult following within this community.

James and Deli also moved recently, and in Deli's vlog about it, she said they also took it as a sort of vacation from doing youtube stuff.

I would still like to bring back :
    • Late Night : Band (Drums please !)
    • Showtime : Stage performance careers and Genies
    • Supernatural : Werewolves, Zombies and Fairies
    • Into the Future : Jetpack, Hoverboard, Holographic TV, Food synthesizer

These ideas from the surveys would be welcome :
    • Fashion show and Model career
    • Road Trip and Mechanic career
    • Superhero and Super villain

But there are also new themes to add :
    • Themes about new countries and habits
    • Royal family, Court and Ball (dance)
    • Circus / Fairground / Casino / Hotel

I'm a realistic player, but I like some of the aspects that came with previous iterations' occult EPs.

I stopped playing some weeks ago due to the lack of new content. I didn't like Paranormal Stuff and Country Living jusst wasn't enough for me.

I need: bands, active school (with preteens if possible) and more than everything: real babies. So I'd like a Generation themed EP coming with these features.

Also hotels would be nice, but we had many vacation themed packs, so I am not too obsessed about it - also vacation is something you do just a few times a year in real life, so my Sims don't got on vacation more than 2 or 3 times in a Sim year (and they're long for me, my seasons are modded to be 8 weeks long as I play rotationally).

A Generation Pack is never going to happen in Sims 4 since Generation gameplay is already split-up into various Sims packs, all that's left is a teenager themed pack and an elder themed pack, maybe throw in some updated babies.

The Banana Republic Kit. We'll be given a clothing style from the Caribbean.

Also, Generations isn't happening because most of the things that were in Sims 3 Generations have been put in Sims 4 by now - not in one pack, but scattered around. What's left over isn't really sufficient for a single Expansion.

What's horribly missing is a distinct lack of Occult development, despite the desire for it.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

I respectfully disagree. I can't recall the Sims 4 packs that gave us:

    - Bachelor/bachelorette parties
    - High school graduation
    - Mid life crises
    - Day care
    - Proper playgrounds
    - Video cameras
    - Treehouses
    - Memories (flawed as they were in TS3)
    - Slumber parties and sleeping bags

And that's excluding the baby/teen/elder content you mentioned.

Well, now that I know that the Devs haven't stopped making Expansion Packs, my guess is either:
Fairies or Werewolves or Generations based on the many, many clues throughout this year. ;)

Here is a list of everything the sims 3 Generations came with that the sims 4 still doesn't have:
    New addition: Memories.
Return of memories system, where memories are tracked in a scrapbook (and online) and a feature to make memories. Along with general milestone memories, Sims can record their betrayals. Sims with a reputation of any kind can also view their reputation on these pages.

New CAS features: Body hair (Only available for males ages YA and over) and catalog expansion pack and individual age sliders.

Sims can now ask parents-in-law for their child's hand in marriage.

    New traits:
Rebellious: Sims with a rebellious streak can make trouble pulling off various pranks, like doorbell ditching, adding hair dye to their sibling's shampoo, making the toilet explode, and more.
Nurturing: Sims with the nurturing trait will be great at taking care of kids and can punish naughty Sims by giving them timeouts, banning video games, and grounding them.

New Lifetime Rewards: New rewards can be purchased with lifetime achievement points such as:
Clean Slate: enables the Sim to completely erase their reputation and start over (note that this resets all information about their current relationship bringing the days involved with a partner to zero).

Hover Bed: a floating double bed for the Sim which gives them an additional +10 moodlet.

Above Reproach: A reward that decreases the chance for Sim to get caught cheating.

Inheritance: A reward that gives the Sim a one-time award of money from a long-lost relative, with who the Sim has no relationship. The demise of this Sim coincides with the bought wish.

Super Nanny: A reward that is a benefit for those pursuing the new Day Care profession.

Young Again: A reward that gives the player a Young Again Potion (can also be made at the Chemistry station).

Motive Mobile: A 50's style van which a Sim can mark as their preferred vehicle and which fills up all of their motives in one trip.

Clone Voucher: A coupon that is worth one genetic duplicate of the Sim who cashes it in but the new Sim is created as a child.

Age Freeze: A reward that gives the player's Sim a potion that cannot be made from the Chemistry station that freezes the Sim's biological clock and prevents further aging unless using the Birthday Cake.

New parties: School Dances, Prom Night for teens, high school graduation, teen house parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties (with the return of entertainers), new wedding ceremonies, and slumber parties.

Field trips for children and teens. (A dialog box appears asking for parental permission.)

    New Profession: Daycare

    New creature: Imaginary Friend

Boarding School: Sims can send their children and teens to any of 5 specialist boarding schools such as military school, sports academy, art school, hippie school, or a posh prep, at each one the sim will learn new skills. The Boarding Schools aren't free unlike public school

    New woohoo places: treehouse

Teen Sims can now be taught to drive by their parents in any vehicle in the household.

New After-school Activities: Children can either attend ballet classes or join the Boy/Girl Scouts. Teenagers can join up to two High School clubs including the sports team, drama club, debate team, school band, student newspaper, and more.

Adults can experience a midlife crisis.

Cloning: Young adults, Adults, and Elder Sims can buy a cloning coupon, this coupon is redeemed at the science facility, and when is redeemed the Sim will get a cloned child. This child is identical to the parent.

    New Objects:
Costume chest: Children can dress up in different costumes.
    Champagne
    Spiral stairs
    Treehouses
    Sandboxes
    See-saws
    Strollers
    Video cameras
    Walking canes for elders.

In addition to the things already mentioned from the sims 3, I think we could add:
    More romantic interactions
    Funerals
    Baby showers
    Bikes (kids) Tricycle (toddlers)
    Baby update
    Tea parties
    painting easel for toddlers
    Skateboards
    Family outings/reunions
Have grandparents come and watch kids instead of a nanny
    Trampoline
more traits/aspirations for kids and teens
Elders can choose to go to different retirement homes and can choose who to leave an inheritance to

edited to add this playhouse from Sims Freeplay. This is so cute and would be great in the sims 4.
    wVaRe5g.jpg

Also, I didn't put everything in bold just the highly requested items we're still missing but everything listed we still need. 🙂
