Occults and life states

What are your thoughts on the occults we've got till now in TS4? Is there something you wanted to be different? Here's my wishlist:

• Free life state slot and select/change traits
• Likes and Dislikes > Interests > Supernatural
• Occult features for every sims the same way it happens with werewolf claws and shark teeth
• Interactions:
- Ask if occult
- Enthuse about [life state]
- Confess fear of occult
- Debate occult existence
- Reveal being an occult (+Trust sentiment?)
- Show occult form (+Trust sentiment?)

• Ghosts:
- Progression: Perk tree/Spectrology Skill
- Select death cause in CAS
- New interactions: Possess, Attack, Teleport
- Death color
- Don't automatically break things
- Always cross materials
- No hunger, hygiene and bladder need
- Spawn:
Mourning brings sad ghosts
Violate grave brings vengeful ghost

• Plantsims:
- Full Life state
- CAS:
Body vines
Wood skin texture
Leaf hair/ Change hairstyle and hair colors
- No hygiene need
- Create beans to get rid of strong emotions
- Manipulate sims emotions with pollens
- Poison/Intoxicate sims
- Photosynthesis animation

• Aliens
- CAS:
Antennae
Extra eyes
Create/Delete Disguise
Link disguise to occult form
- Transport: UFO (quick travel to Sixam)
- Mental energy bar (+meditation)
- Alien sleeping pod/ Sleep in the test tube

• Mermaids
- Progression: Perk tree/Hydrokinesis Skill
- Mermaid energy bar (+meditation)
- Constant and full tail in ghost form
- CAS:
Fins (Ear)
Fish nostril (Nose)
Neck and Waist gills (Skin details)
Leg and wrist scales (Body details)
Male torso scales (Tops)
Armor-like accessories (Tops)
- Dehydration death
- Aspirations: Ocean threat (Mischief)
Sea Guardian (Nature)

• Skeletons
- Full life state
- Use clothes, hair/wig and facial painting
- Sugar skull offerings bring skeletons to life

• Werewolves
- Bipedal ferocious walk
- CAS (Human):
Werewolf body hair
Pointy ears (Vampires/Aliens)
Sharp canines (Vampires/Werewolves)
Scary eyebrows (Vampires)
Hairy sideburns

    Yes! More Occults and some updates would be stellar! And at least a cheat code to unlock all of the Occult/Alien CAS features so we can use them freely.

    That is quite a list with many good suggestions. I like to play with occults and also see some room for improvement

    Spellcasters
    - allow the younger ages to practice magic or perform one or two child proof spells
    - add in a magic lot trait so spellcasters can behave like spellcasters outside the magic realm
    - update familiars to be interactive
    - let brooms fly instead of teleport. Now that we have bikes in the game, brooms can use the same code for routing, just a few meters above the ground.
    - add a few new spells or potions every now and then. Perhaps even cross pack spells for example a spell to make sims famous, a spell to change the weather, a potion to cure vampires or werewolves,...
    - add in a normal sized cauldron

    PlantSims
    - make them a proper lifestate with unique abilities
    - with skill tree,
    - spawning plantsim infants with spores,
    - allow different appearances for hair style.

    Werewolves
    - add in a feminine body frame. Even if the fur is so thick, a possibility for a feminine frame would be nice
    - update more necklaces and earrings for werewolves
    - allow hats for werewolves

    Vampires
    - allow a toggle for vampire break ins. It is sad that vampires in their dedicated pack were nerfed to suit the realism fans. A toggle wow allow both occult players and hard core realism fans to change it to suit their needs

    Mermaids
    - allow all ages to have a fish tail. A mermaid without a fish tail is no mermaid at all, even a child
    - add in a skill tree
    - add a mermaid bassinet and grave stone
    - cas: more options for scaled upper bodies
    - fins on arms

    Servo
    - add in a rain proof option (not waterproof, just rain proof is enough)
    - allow more variety in appearance. Not just changing colour but also shape

    Aliens
    - add in a skill tree
    - allow us to live on sixam
    - add a link between disguise and alien form like we have for vampires, mermaids and werewolves. Even if it would be just for clothes, hair and makeup, it would be very useful
    - a few more alien outfits
    - alien 'hair' like tentakels, fins,...

    All occults
    - don't restrict the cas to occult only. Allow pointy ears, fantasy eyes and pastel colored skintones for all Sims.
    - some support for hybrids. I know they are not supposed to happen. The amount of possible hybrids in the sims 2 was insane and I can see why you would want to avoid it. But hybrids can happen by accident. So at least give the basics as in a stable UI for needs and an option to access skill trees by clicking on the sims themselves.
    - add in occult holiday traditions for players to have seasons. They can be very broad like use occult power tradition (vampires, spellcasters, mermaids,... any occult power) and a change into occult from tradition (vampire uses dark form, alien uses disguise, werewolves transform) Normal sims can ignore this tradition for being normal, just like toddlers ignore a lot of traditions.

    I so agree that the Aliens, Ghosts, Mermaids, Plantsims, Servos, Spellcasters, Vampires & Werewolves so desperately need a proper refresh fix.
    After that, there needs to be Fairies & Genies, pretty please 🙏.

    Also, exempt Occults from situational outfits, please. I can't stand the situational outfits for my non-occults as it is, spending hours in CAS to choose precise outfits for my themes, just to have them thrown out the window for holidays and festivals, etc. But at the very least, exclude Occults from them, it gets so cringey.

    And why aren't Ghosts creatable, fully playable, and updated to not play like regular Sims? Needs and aging? Really? And they should also actually haunt the haunted house lot challenges. They need to be more "Ghost-like" and spooky, less mundane and normal.

    @LiELF I agree with you completely! I really dislike the situational outfits and the amount of time we have to spend in CAS to get what we want for our sims, both occults and humans. I wish they all started out with only underwear, no makeup or accessories at all, as default, like in previous sims games, so we choose what we want for that particular character. I waste so much time constantly having to change everything in each category because they start out with items I don't want. If I want to use them I will put them on. And I would love it if they updated Ghosts as well. I want to play them in my game as real ghosts and be able to start them in CAS like other occults! I want haunted houses with ghost families living in them as well. I love all of your ideas for updated Ghosts! We can only hope that this will be considered for the future. I would buy a pack with focus on updating ghosts immediately! They could even do a pack that updates all of our occults that are lacking, like mermaids, aliens and plantsims. With all of the simmers asking for this on the forum I am sure it would be worth it for EA financially as I believe there are alot of occult players in Sims 4 who would be interested in this!

    It's funny, the ghosts having hunger, hygiene and bladder needs annoys me too! It makes no sense!

    With Plant Sims having cross pack intergration with Strangerville, like for example a mother variant plant sim.

    Fae which would cover both Fairies and Elves

    And If we get Fairies, we could then get My New Occult Idea which is a Succbus/Incubus Occult which would be like a combination of Vampires (sexy powers + Immortality/eternal youth + 100 baby challenge), Fairies (wings duh, also butt wings) and Spellcaster (could summon imp familiars), with a human disguise, plus the horns and tails and new glowly tattoos CAS items included with a variety of skin tones ranging from shades of pink to shades of purple.

    I'd love to have some darker Fae as well as the standard floofy ones. Like goblins, darklings, changelings, unseelie... the kind who steal children and make mischief.

    I mean, what's better for these adorable new infants than to snatch them away to be raised by weird Fae Folk? 😈
