Alpha Vs. Maxis Match Vs. No CC

Hi everyone! I recently uploaded this video where I made the same sim with Alpha CC, maxis match, and no custom content.

I'm wondering--what kind of cc do you most prefer in your game? Have you ever tried this to a single sim? I'd love to see the results!

I played with Alpha hair for years, but about six months ago made the switch to Maxis Match, and I don't think I could ever go back!

At this stage, I do not have any CC. Although, when I do download CC, it must be Maxis Match... I can't stand Alpha!

Agreed! I'm actually in the process of deleting everything alpha from my game. I played alpha for a few years, but now that I switched to maxis match, I can't imagine going back.

I like Maxis Match better. I do have some Alpha though that I use in a fan fic modeling competition at a different forum.

This Sim is Maxis Match on left and the Alpha + more realistic looking 'genetics' on the right.

I have a few sims that I did this with. I only liked one of them better with Alpha + Realistic haha.

I haven't got any CC in my game, I think I worry too much that I'll end up corrupting a file or something. I much prefer maxis match though!

I first played Sims 4 on my Xbox, and I didn't have CC (you cannot get CC on console). I was pretty fine with that though, and I was able to make some decent sims. Gameplay was interesting and fun back then. Afterwards, I bought the Sims 4 on my newly purchased computer. As a first-time Sims 4 desktop user, I was happy to have the opportunity to try Custom Content. In the beginning, I got Alpha CC packs, which looked strange. When Maxis Match was introduced to me, I immediately fell in love with it.

While having no CC was fun, Maxis Match CC was really awesome. I still use some Alpha CC though.

My game has been alpha heavy for years, and because I make a lot of my own CC, I have racked up a lot. However, last year I removed all alpha and strictly did MM, and it was super refreshing! Visually, MM obviously fits the game seamlessly, but if you're doing 3D renders the alpha is the way to go -- and I do a lot of renders.
