Why do it? I love the variety in my game ~ I love seeing the different items in Create-a-Sim and Buy/Build modes, and picking out just the right items for my sims. Plus, there's always that little shopping "boost" one gets from buying an item on sale or getting a discount. LOL
Too bad the things I'm currently stalking aren't that close together. I'm waiting days or more between purchases, probably because I own >60% of the DD list (607/977 deals, 410/636 unique items).
Checking MMaO earlier reinforced for me that the best DD appearance of Date Night (which happens to be ~40 hours from now) can't come fast enough. This deal would have been an easy "buy it" decision, even in spite of my fairly strict criteria, if all the items weren't all from the same set where my DD+CYS is already super low:

@LauraBow - Back in the days before I owned the store, I was spending more time stalking the DD than playing in the game. Stalking the DD became a game. I can relate to the shopping boost feeling. I also like variety in my game. While some of the sets don't suit my personal decorating taste, I don't like all my sims to live in homes decorated to match my style. I like variety too.

I love Create-a-Style! It was one of the main selling points for me ... finally, the ability to make things match! My favorite category is "Themes." So many cute patterns!
I have not dabbled much into mods or CC. Store items are enough CC for me right now, but I was big into it for Sims 1 and Sims 2 - I think DD stalking replaced CC browsing for the forseeable future. Mods so far are essentials like certain NRAAS mods or others to correct a few things that are broken. Still trying to experience the game as-is before changing it.

Hi all ~ BIG push for myself these first few months of the year to get more sets through DD and CYS discounts. Sometimes, I'm making at least one purchase every day. (Thankfully, the Samsung internet browser on my phone works with the store, so I can just login and press the blue button to purchase the item I need, because let's face it, the times stuff goes on sale isn't always the most convenient!)
Who knows, maybe someday I'll own the store after all. It's tough being patient, though, as some sets and compilations take 2-3 rotations to get the best price. 😀
Why do it? I love the variety in my game ~ I love seeing the different items in Create-a-Sim and Buy/Build modes, and picking out just the right items for my sims. Plus, there's always that little shopping "boost" one gets from buying an item on sale or getting a discount. LOL

@LauraBow - Back in the days before I owned the store, I was spending more time stalking the DD than playing in the game. Stalking the DD became a game. I can relate to the shopping boost feeling. I also like variety in my game. While some of the sets don't suit my personal decorating taste, I don't like all my sims to live in homes decorated to match my style. I like variety too.

I love Create-a-Style! It was one of the main selling points for me ... finally, the ability to make things match! My favorite category is "Themes." So many cute patterns!
I have not dabbled much into mods or CC. Store items are enough CC for me right now, but I was big into it for Sims 1 and Sims 2 - I think DD stalking replaced CC browsing for the forseeable future. Mods so far are essentials like certain NRAAS mods or others to correct a few things that are broken. Still trying to experience the game as-is before changing it.
