Newest Update Caused Legacy Family Save to Revert to Earlier Version

Hi there, I just updated my Sims 4 game with the newest patch and my Legacy family save file reverted to a previous save from like... a month ago. The house that I built and the 3rd generation are completely gone and Sims that have died are living again.

Any idea if this is fixable?

Did you click "Load" to actually choose the most recent save, or just click the "Play" button?

I chose load to load the most recent save. And the most recent save for that game was from January 11, which isn't correct. I played it last week.

I know there was a post around somewhere that helped someone find a missing save, but I don't know how to find it. Maybe it's somewhere in the tech forum? Anyway, here's a link from Crinrict that explains a little bit about this problem: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/save-games-disappearing/. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

You're not alone! I came here because I was finally just going to post this issue myself. It's not the new update alone, mine happened before the latest update. Like last week I believe.

Stupid me, I was so angry I deleted my save I've had since September. I was just that upset.

After playing Outdoor Retreat and bringing my family back I made two homes, and then went back to my main family and decided to redecorate that house. Then I proceeded to spend the rest of my time leveling up the Herblism skill, working on my sims garden, and cooking all of the new dishes to store in the fridge (The mother of the sim family has the Fresh Chef trait). I saved the game as I always do and then exited the game and opted to save it again when it asked me to.

Took a break for a few days, loaded my game up just to find my game play reverted back to exactly where it was BEFORE I bought Outdoor Retreat.

Edit: Just want to add, I saved and loaded the game several times during the OR play through and had no issues when I was on vacation. The issues only occurred after I saved the game when I got back home from vacation.

I just found someone with a similar issue on Reddit:

    http://www.reddit.com/r/thesims/comments/2uxigd/never_been_so_disappointed/

Part of me kept wanting to blame myself but I couldn't really do it because I knew 🐸🐸🐸🐸 well I didn't purposely delete my progress especially when I always save over my current file and don't make new ones.

That's so annoying if that's the reason why this happened and that bug is still around after all this time. I've never ran into save issues once before most recently... Thanks for linking that here btw.

Here's info about what your saves look like: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/13076405/#Comment_13076405. It could be that something got renamed but is still there - just the game can't see it.
